My question is: i have been putting 2strands of #4 yarn together for scarves, to make them thicker. Is there a good sized crochet hook for these? I’ve been using a 12mm.
I was given lots of #4 yarn and I crochet many scarves and cowls for the poor and homeless children and adults. Yes- I am an 86 year old scarf- bomber!
    Thanks

Hard to actually see the yarns well with the white background.

Hey, will the project be ruined if i use a slighter smaller hook? Example. I have size 4 yarn, but the pattern calls for a 4.5 mm hook.
Will using this 4.5m hook instead of a 5.0 mm hook ruin my work?

      Have you done it yet?

I think the stitches would just come out a little tighter, so your final project may be slightly smaller and firmer than intended. it won't ruin anything by any means, you may just have to adjust some things. It is actually really helpful sometimes to use a smaller hook for certain projects. For example: if you're doing amigurumi, there will be less noticeable gaps, which stops the stuffing from poking out and keeps the stuffed animal looking neater!

The right niddeles and tread I meant. But thank you as you understood me anyway. Your feedback was great. Blessings.
