    Best thing about Singapore. People are helpful irregardless of where you are from. People are honest. People don't disturb you while you go about your daily routine etc. Things just fall in place and work. People are not affected by what goes on in another part of the world or at least keep their emotions in check as it'll get in the way of others. People don't ostracize other religions. At the same time, people don't show superiority because of religion. But, showing class, empathy, respect and responsibility are characteristics of true blue people of Singapore

    In Singapore, we control the traffic by implementing toll (ERP) to reduce traffic. Same goes to xmas, if its free entry to xmas wonderland, u wont be able to walk around within the wonderland. It does make sense why they r charging - to control crowds

    Kampung Glam is rarely called a Malay quarters by the locals. It's just a beautiful face to attract tourists to the area. If you want an authentic experience, you should go to the heart of the Muslim/Malay which is Geylang Serai. That's where you can see how the locals go about their lives.

    We do cook our own food. 😂 But economies of scale and the convenience of eating out make the latter option just as affordable if not more so than prepping your own food. Still, people like a home-cooked meal every now and again. Others just like cooking.
    It’s also a bit of a generational thing, maybe: younger dual-income households cook less often and eat out more when they can’t be arsed to churn out a meal in the kitchen after a long day at work.

    Was watching a youtube 'short' of a Swiss expat in Singapore comparing Christmas market at Gardens by the Bay to Switzerland's. She gave the former thumbs down for the following reasons: 1. Unbearably crowded. I guess she's never been to the ones in London . Lol.(you had said London's was busier).
    2. Didn't have the Christmasy European Christmas foods like they have in Switzerland.
    3. Too expensive.
    4. The tropical weather did not give it a Christmasy feeling. Lol.
    Don't want to sound cheesy, but you both are such an adorable couple. Regards from Ontario, Canada.

    • @Lottieandtom.travel
      @Lottieandtom.travel  18 дней назад

      Awww that's so sweet thank you!
      Honestly I can't understand how someone can't think it's Christmassy haha! I mean we never expected it to be like Europe because it's not Europe 😂😂 but as for the crowds honestly we don't think it was that bad..At the bit for the light show yes but after that it was fine.
      We tend to go to Winter Wonderland in London every year and there are days where you can't move there it's so busy so this was a piece of cake for us 😂
      Thank you for watching 🩷
