    • @lsswappedcessna
      @lsswappedcessna 5 лет назад +7

      Hey, the obsolete shit is cheap and reliable, why do you think we still use pushrod engines and big, wasteful V8s instead of supercharged V6/Turbo I4? Because despite what Europeans think with their limited knowledge on what really goes down in the USA, we DO have culture, and it's called "Displacement!" I try not to judge Europeans for that very reason, I don't know jack shit about how they think and feel. I still criticize their car brands that charge out the ass for an tiny engine that makes mediocre power, pollutes like a two stroke Detroit Diesel with the rack stuck wide open, and isn't reliable though. VOLKSWAGEN.

    • @ootdega
      @ootdega 5 лет назад +6

      @@lsswappedcessna A naturally aspirated V8 is more efficient than a turbocharged I4. The only reasons they are being replaced with smaller turbo engines is for production cost and because it's easier for white middle-aged housewives to understand *BIG NUMBER BAD* than how a turbo actually works.
      I guarantee you none of them even know their car has one. If you told them, they would probably take it back to the dealership and spend three hours demanding they replace the turbo with essential oils.

      @Venturi Atlantique I don't get why companies can't just use a new name. Why do they feel the need to complete butcher everything that the older car stood for? If you make such a drastic change as going from a beastly RWD muscle car with so much torque, it has trouble keeping the front end on the ground, to a small, practical, family car, you shouldn't keep the same name. When Toyota changed the Corolla from RWD to FWD, it made sense, because despite its performance elements, the Corolla had always been an economy car. Same goes for the Nova, but in the other direction. The Nova started out as an economy car and grew into a muscle car

      The V8 3.0l of the Ariel atom goes at 11.000 rpm, it's a much smaller engine than, any American engine, if the piston is smaller, there is less inertia, and so the engine is more flexible

    Cominturismo 1000 great car from the 20th century. But it turns out that cars from the 21st century will take part in the competition, maybe you should make a new car from Russia, since the USSR is no more. A car from Russia will have two options - a very strange sports car (Marussia b2), or a completely ordinary budget sedan car - the Lada Vesta. But these cars should be with the Russian spirit!)) (Terrible quality and low reliability)
