- Chinese particle ma (吗) is not just a question marker. It can also be used for rhetorical questions 不是...吗, when we want to reaffirm what we already know. It's a very common structure in Chinese, and Chinese people use it much more than say English speakers tag questions use tag questions.

Hardcore useful language learning content 最棒了! 你辛苦啦!谢谢老师! 🙂
Hardcore useful language learning content please!Thank you! 辛苦你了!
What makes your channel unique is that you are a non-native speaker, so you have a different perspective on the challenges of learning Mandarin compared to all the other channels out there. Don't just do hardcore language training (though you do that very well) - but mix in insights from your journey to learning this fascinating language. And some truly personal content is always nice to hear from time to time!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
@@OutmazeChinese Here is another thought. Rather than ask what your existing viewers want to see, think about how to best build a larger audience. The clarity of your explanations and the way you present are so good you deserve a big audience, but it's not there yet. I think it would be worth studying other channels with big audiences and imitating some of what they do. I think focusing more on beginners and their needs and interests would be useful. So would more provocative (click-bait) headlines and more personal content. I also think your introduction, with its quickly spoken Mandarin, may work against you - skip the Mandarin and just go with the English. I have also seen some presenters leave comments on other presenters' channels; a good comment can make their viewers aware of your channel and then turn to it with interest.
Great lesson ! Just to show I was paying attention, I would like to point out that at 4:46 the character 做 ("do") should have been 坐 ("sit"). I suppose 做 would work just as well, but then the meaning would be "Can't we just do it here?". These homonyms can be really confusing. Maybe 坐下 would work better.
