    I've been living in China six months every year for 15 years. This is the very best introductory chines language video I have ever seen. It cleared up a lot of confusion for me, Presentations just excellent. Really clean presentation. Every phrase - 1. Change characters. 2. Pinyin. 3. Literal translation (really helps. 4. Actual translation. Wow! Just excellent. Totally clean background! No horrible background music! Just subscribed - now off to download your PDF. Yeah, I'm 78 but you can teach old dogs new tricks.

    You're great at making mandarin sound easy for learners.
    I found your videos a few months ago about pronunciation of tones, but i was far too new at the language to soak it in.
    My girlfriend is from Taiwan and i've gone through the effort to learn Zhuyin on my phone and all the sounds feel much more natural to me now.
    I wish there was more content to learn mandarin with the zhuyin system, but i understand traditional mandarin is far less used.
    I'm glad i get to learn pinyin from this awesome content though!
    I'll just have to learn mandarin with my partner saying "we use this word instead" haha. It's funny how different it can be sometimes

    Hi Luke, As a subscriber of Mandarin Blueprint since last September, I was listening to this podcast and I remember on a previous podcast, you mentioned Dali as one of the most beautiful cities in China, I must agree as my wife is from Dali and although we live in Southern California, my in-laws still live there as well as we have real estate in Dali. In fact my wife and four year old daughter are there now during construction of our new house. I will be heading there in a couple of weeks and you're right, it is a very beautiful place and this lesson will be a good refresher as my Madarin is still not very good.

    It´s possible (and efficient) to learn both to read and to speak at the same time?

    • @MandarinBlueprint
      @MandarinBlueprint  3 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely, you can learn to read and speak at the same time! However, focusing on reading first can really boost your speaking skills.
      Reading helps you build a strong vocabulary, giving you the words you need to express yourself confidently. Plus, it gets you familiar with the nuances of the language-like grammar and idioms-so you’ll know how to use them correctly when you speak.
      Also, don’t forget about listening! By reading and listening together, you train your ears to pick up pronunciation and rhythm, which is essential for speaking well. So, while speaking is important, starting with reading sets a solid foundation for success!

    • @giannanicole1841
      @giannanicole1841 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@L-x_x nǐ hǎo 👋🏻 Ja, richtig. Du kannst “gib Gas” immer dann sagen wenn du jemanden richtig anfeuern willst, zb beim Sport. Ich würde es aber nicht verwenden um jemanden beim lernen anzufeuern, denn es ist ein relativ fordernder Ausdruck der ein bisschen den Unterton hat, dass dein Gegenüber nicht bereits 100% gibt. Du kannst es definitiv sagen wenn du es eilig hast und deine Begleitung zu langsam läuft..oder jemand zu langsam Auto fährt. Ich würde es aber in jedem Fall nur zu Menschen sagen die ich gut kenne, es kommt sonst unhöflich rüber. Also lieber nicht zu dem Uber/Taxi Fahrer gib Gas sagen ;) Liebe Grüße!
