I love these videos, I don't play video games anymore... but this takes me back to my childhood. We grew up playing nintendo, sega, n 64. Loved the 80's and 90s movies. The wizard was one of my favorites. Awesome collection and great job working hard for your passion. It is inspiring
I like how you dedicated to a whole room where you just look at the games on the shelves and pick one up to play for every 5 minutes and thinking " Meh I don't feel like playing any of these". Best room ever!
If anyone is curious the CRT model he's using is the Sony KD-32FS170 32" Trinitron Wega...this was the last standard definition CRT that Sony produced back in 2006. It has 240p/480i/480p EDTV resolution capability and has inputs for composite, S-Video and Component.
I had a talk boy as a kid because I had a an uncle who made mad money. It was hands down the dopest toy I ever had, besides maybe an erector set which I loved. Back than they were t plastic and metal I swallowed a few screws holding them in my mouth but I’m still here
Rick, your room is amazing! It's bursting with so many items that perfectly personify you. Also, every time you mention Hastings, I get sad, because they're gone forever. I miss that store so much! The memories of renting VHS, then DVDs... We had a huge one in New Braunfels that also had a gigantic games, books, and music section, too. When I had my job at HEB, and had no friends or stuff to do during college, I'd wander around there for hours, buying used DVDs, books, and games. I also have a picture from my daughter's first visit there with me, when she was only a couple months old. Also, shout out to Riff and Ricky!

Imagine having Rick as a uncle and go visit his house when you are 8-16 years old. I have a cousin that I always visited when I was a kid, because he had a huge gaming collection. (This was back in the late 90s) I spent almost my entire youth at his house. And his two brother in laws was always sitting and coding, programming etc on the PC's in the house. Such good memories. We still get together and play Heroes of Might and Magic 3 against each other.. Also Mario Party 1+2+3 on the N64!
Its the Johnny Tsunami and Brink sealed VHS - that's what lets me know Rick and I are riding the same wave. Y'all these were ICONIC as kids. When these popped up on Disney, we would lose it. Good times.
the nintendo gamecube kiosk if I had to choice 1 item. this is such a massive collection so many 90s cool vintage items loved the shelf with the nickelodeon,ninja turtles,ET, etc the home alone movies I could watch 24/7, johnny tsunami classic. makes me want to start making my own collection cleaner with the nice shelves.
When someone says vintage i still think of 60s and 70s clothes. Sitting here for a second and doing a quick mental note of the time difference between the 90s and 60s and the time difference between now and the 90s i just feel old and sad :(

I still have the 36" Sony trinitron that i used for my PS1, PS2 and Wii. My dad and siblings have been telling me to get rid of the tv, as a gamer my family doesnt understand the value of that tv. Kudos for still having that! after watching this , I dont think Ill be getting rid my of my trinitron anytime soon! haha
My favorite thing in that room is the stay-puft piggybank. I bought one for a friend who's a 80s collector. His youngest son slept with that bank for a while.
Man I really miss Hastings! When my local store closed down, I bought one of the giant rolling carts, one of those Sony TVs (all the cases were gone 😭), one of the cafe couches (which my puppy shredded 😡) 6 of the cafe wood-backed chairs and a couple of the plush cafe armchairs. Got so much on clearance its ridiculous. How you feel about the 90's and nostalgia is how I feel about that Store. My mom worked there for like 15 years growing up so I spent so much of my time there, oftentimes helping out and semi working there, but it was all fun. Great tour video, glad to see Riff in here too!
Love it! We just started collecting and I found my first NES (but needs to have a quick repair to it)! It’s hard to find stuff but it’s amazing when you do!!
@@retrorick I’ve already made a purchase that was nerve wracking but it was a game I had to have and it kept going up in price (GC Windwaker). I keep talking myself I won’t make too many purchases like this but who knows what tugs at the heartstrings..
The Back to the Future shelf right by the Zelda shelf... my favorite movie franchise right by my favorite game franchise?! 🤯 BttF part 2 is my favorite movie of all time but I love the whole trilogy.

Did you know that 2,000 Americans died liberating Palau during World War II from the Imperial Japanese military? Many of the great grandchildren of those American soldiers would be alive right now, but they aren’t because they died for the freedom of Palau. Hopefully you understand if Americans today enjoy the freedom of spending their money however it brings us joy and find it annoying to hear someone judging us for it. Our grandfathers sacrificed immensely so we could have these freedoms. It is not like the USA gives nothing back to the world. The USA invented the Internet, lightbulbs, AC/DC electricity, airplanes, GPS, microwave ovens, televisions, personal computers, smartphones, social media and so many countless other inventions. Look at the technological changes that has happened in the last one hundred years. The USA was a huge part of that. You have no idea what this man does for charity in his personal life.

Taking over the lands also meant getting the hands on valueable natural resources, and later on the enslavement to cut the producion costs. US has never helped any country unless there was a juicy benefit. Recently they freed Iraq from Non Democratic Saddam. But over a million civilians died, many had to leave the country, while you were enjoying your toys. Oh by the way, inventions are not done by a single person or country. It is a collaberative work of one generation to the other.

Today I just picked up an RCA 27” Truflat and it’s just as awesome as the Trinitron.

I use that same cube organizer for a fish tank stand. Have two 10 gallon tanks on mine. So far it’s been holding for almost a year with no issues.
