Do not ever say someone should cut someone else off at the end of a race. Don't promote that kind of running.
I fundamentally disagree with almost everything this guy said. He said that Teare didn’t need to go at 400 or 300 (even though he did and went from 8th to 5th from 300 out to 200 out). He even said 200 was early. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Make the move and make people chase you. Herrara stupidly moving out to block the BYU guys (a very tacky move in my opinion) was the only reason teare wound up with a shot in this race. And somebody PLEASE tell me he was wrong when he said the BYU guy should have cut him off. That would be the biggest bs move I’ve ever seen in track. You don’t do things like that in the last 100. When you have to worry about running the next curve that’s one thing, but in the last 100, you run to the shortest distance to the finish and that’s a straight line. Period. Cutting someone off like that is just admitting that they would have beaten you. We race to see who is the fastest, not who can box the other guy out the best.
Yeah, Herrera got what he deserved here with that move to lane 2, and I think BYU would reap what he sows with an injury or a dq if he had moved to lane 1 after passing. Not even in the last 100, the final ~35m maybe, which makes the suggestion to cut off an even bigger deal.

Can you go to lane 2 when you're in lane 1 and a guy in lane 2 is trying to outkick you? Is it legit to block him like that? Because if that's legit I will do that every fcking time
Technically you can but it’s definitely a dick move and they might confront you about it your not supposed to cut them off at the last 100 it’s basically cheating
