    Aaron sahlman deserves more appreciation. Np has 2 moves a huge surge around 2k. That drops the kids that went out too hard. And then at 2.2 miles. Aaron is at the front of both of those surges . He pushes when it gets hard and sacrifice his race for the better kickers on his team to consistently go 1-2-3. Much props

    The last mile of this race was very fast. Mile two had the most hills and curves. The last half mile of this race is a gradual downhill into the finish so it makes it an incredible ending.

    Great video and great analysis of a fantastic once in a lifetime race! I am wondering if someone has or could perhaps make a video of the Young and Salmaan families (maybe 2 videos, 1 for each family). Would be interesting to see their athletic heritage and where it comes from, what drives the boys to running excellence and get to hear what their parents, siblings, family members and close friends have to say. Just some thoughts. Keep up the great work. 👏😎👍

    Has that course been certified yet? Some teams that attended Prd by over a minute for this race after having PRs on a similar course and winning a state title.

      I’ve ran this course, it’s definitely not short. I’ve raced it 3 times and it’s abt 10 secs away from being my pr course. It’s just a really fast course because of how maintained and semi-flat it is.

    • @roro6064
      @roro6064 2 года назад +6

      @@TmT672 everyone in Florida is confused and is wondering why he didn’t run the national race, I think if he was injured they definitely would have said something cause even the mile split Florida account said “he should have ran”. And dude won all his races in trainers easily running 14s and they claimed it was his tempo pace so I don’t think he would lack confidence. I think dude started track early and is gonna run some college races or something since college preseason track already started. Only explanation I can come up with since he’s like 2 seconds from a 3min mile

    • @schpood
      @schpood 2 года назад +9

      I have zero doubt that Rheinhardt just wanted to keep his undefeated record intact. His PR 5k time isn't even close to what the NP guys ran in Alabama (yes, i realize there are a lot of factors that play into that, but for now that's all we have to compare). There is very little chance he would have beat Colin, Leo or Lex, although a top 5 is feasible. Still, a loss is a loss, and he wanted no part of it.

    • @roro6064
      @roro6064 2 года назад +6

      @@schpood he ran like 14:40 in Florida with trainers on no spikes and his coach said he can run 14:20s when he tries And everyone got huge prs. Like everyone pr by like 20 seconds. I have no doubt he would have been sub 14:08 at least sub 14:10. He prob would have loss. Prob would have won tbh but either way dude should have just ran. Especially since Florida has never had a runner as fast as him in history Like man just do it for the history😭💔 who cares about a dang undefeated record💀 mans is already committed to Oregon. Running at nationals wouldn’t have changed a thing for him😭 who knows the next time when Florida will have a runner that can be top 5 or 10 in the nation. We already know cali is gonna have 3 next year😔🥴
