I used to love the metropolitan opera. I now NO LONGER DO. Peter Gelb and the shitty productions herein presented is absolutely RUINING the previously marvelous metropolitan opera.
I wish they wouldn't modernize so often. It borders on political and propaganda as though the static on the radio is contemporary with time. It just isn't so.
There was a time when the MET would announce their upcoming season and one would become excited while reading the names on the cast. Now my reaction is, "whatever". Perhaps Plácido Domingo will make an appearance. Just kidding. Then again...
Should have happened years ago, but certainly not for her politics. The woman is a dreadful singer. The only great decision Gelb has ever made, if only by force. Thank Christmas we’ll be spared that squawking tit parade from defiling anymore of the world’s greatest music. Now she can go sing for Putin all day, be his little nightingale. Ba bye.
She’s a big supporter of Putin. Do you support Putin and his destruction? Yes, freedom of speech and opinion, but there’s a price to pay for the freedom and opinion.
Dmitri Hvorostovsky is so greatly missed and warmly remembered !

Why do they have a still from a different Traviata with that other tenor? The orchestra is amazing, tho.
