I have really sensitive ears and a fear of loud noises, these alarms are my favorite because they don’t make me have an anxiety attack.

We have a weird system in our condo. We have a simplex voice evac system on the upper floors, and down below in the parking garage. We also have the commander 2’s in the stairwell doing a very fast code 3 to the point it shortens the last sound. It’s basically bee- bee- beep. Bee- bee- beep

We have gentex commanders and trualert horn strobes
My school has three of those. One in the lobby, one by the kinder classrooms and one outside. The rest in my building are trualert.
My church has the 4903-9219 horn strobe I haven't heard it go off so I don't know if it's coded to code 3 March Time or continuous but I remember in 4th grade we had a simplex 4903-9219 in the hallway and that was coded to continuous we had the truealerts in the classrooms.

Yes, these ones appear to be doing about 130 BPM rather than the typical 120 BPM. Therefore it's really not properly temporal 3 per NFPA 72.
EDIT: I've been informed that it may be considered a 60 BPM for regular temporal 3, this video would then make these going at about 65 BPM. All depends on how you count it in your head I guess. My brain hears a 120 BPM metronome when hearing Temp 3.

Probably yes, because you literally cant read the fire lettering (if they have it) and its going to be difficult to read it.

It is, because despite half the comments on these videos saying they are commander 3's, they are commander 2's (I checked people, part of this inspection was to literally pull down devices and get the model numbers). The commander 2's do code very quickly, and not up to spec with what NFPA 72 defines Temporal to be.
What's louder the spectruealert advanced or gentex commander 3? Well I personally think gentex 😂
@@TheFirePanel really? I had an unexpected fire drill at a summer camp once and they had the advanced but I wasn't startled and it didn't bother me at all, but it is your opinion 😁
That’s a pretty fast code 3. Is that the fire alarm itself or is it the panel. If so what kind of panel is it?
That's the alarm. The Commander 2s were known for doing a code 3 (Temporal) that was too fast.

why is the panel coding it so fast?
The panel is coding very quickly, and with the way the buzzer acted after the silencing. I think there may be timing bugs either in the programming or the crystal is going bad.
Zachary Fleck yup my school has those Buggy silent knights, instead of a silent knight, it’s an intelliknight which lags a lot and sometimes a fuse could disconnect setting off all fire alarms in the building

differences between a commander 2 and 3?
Commander 3 has a slower code 3 pattern
Commander2 strobes and horn/strobes are fixed candela. Commader3's are multi-candela. There's no horn-only Commander3.
