For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him.
Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible.
The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil".
LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
RIP, Treat Williams, 1951-2023. He sadly passed away from a motorcycle accident at 71. He made this one my favorite movies from my childhood.
He turned from everyman into a badass character you root for till the very end.

Criminally underrated movie I watched just last year and is now one of my favorites. The fact this movie died while the equally good movie “The Mummy” went on to be a smash hit is sad.
Captain Boomies really floats my boat.👌
This could have been a Resident Evil movie. Swap out the mercenaries with the STARS Alpha team, tentacles with zombies/monsters, the boat with a mansion.
I had the same thought as a child while watching this holy crap.

This movie scarred me for life. When I was 8-9, I used to sneak into the hallway at night and see what my parents were watching past bedtime. When they rented this I only caught the scene where the lady gets sucked through the toilet. Still think about it sometimes when nature calls.
Funny how scenes like that just come back to haunt you later in life. Every time I see a rainwater drain I still picture Tim Curry. That scene wasn't always played out but thanks to the remake and social media it's a meme now. But thankfully it hasn't taken that away from me.
The joystick thing on the boat is a real thing on some vessels - it's basically the steering wheel and throttle combined. Forward is speed up, backwards is slower, and then of course port and starboard. It's common in smaller, faster naval vessels (patrol boats and such) in a fair amount of countries (not the US, IIRC). Basically, it's used because the pilots don't want to have both hands occupied when they have a complicated dashboard to keep track of, and lets them adjust speed quicker in rough sea.
And yes, that kind of steering does allow for some funky manoeuvres - like, drag it down and to the right or left allows you to do a tight turn, forward and either direction is the clsoest to strafing you can get and so on. It's pretty neato!

Tony Deep Blue Sea is literally on the shelf right behind her! I was yelling "it's right there!"
And the interesting thing about it being a secret prequel to King Kong is when you remember the same year the Roland Emmerich Godzilla was also released. I almost wonder if there were talks of a late 90s Monsterverse with those two?
I'll never forget watching this in theaters. Such a blast.
I watched this with my bro and older cousins and I'll never forget the bloody hallway scene with the half decomposed skeletons lol.
I love Captain Boomies. She has an amazing laugh. It's a shame that Johanna wasn't in this episode, but we did get her in the commentary track.
For whatever reason, I feel Deep Rising and Phantoms would be a great double feature in the theatre for late 90s monster horror.
Damn, I was already gonna rewatch DR, definitely gonna have to add Phantoms, both are ridiculously underrated 90s fun.

The "You know what I wanna eat?" scene was GOLD.
A fun monster movie. Treat Williams is so entertaining. We also got Sagat, Kano & Jean Grey. Including legendary quotes like "Chick with the muscles".
Plus during Billy's last memorable scene, I always thought Jason Flemyng's character said, "Good God it's me".
Wes Studi was great as the Sphinx in Mystery Men
I loved him in that role!
This is legit one of my favorite Sci-Fi action movies and I don't think it gets enough attention, so thanks for putting a spotlight on it. It also taught me a very important fact: _That song_ is called *The Girl From Ipanema.*

I personally love this underrated movie
This was a fun movie to see in the cinema. The cast of character actors were great, especially Kevin O'Connor. The practical and most of the CGI monster effects were cool. That octopus and fish in the bottle story was creepy.

I always wanted to hear Tim Curry sing the Drunken Sailor song, you hear him sing a little bit of it when his character is first introduced in Muppet's Treasure Island and its good.

What a great cast! A vastly underrated little genre flick. Trevor Goddard and Treat Williams are sorely missed.

Small correction. Sommers wanted to do Journey to the Center of the Earth as a follow-up to this movie. The Kong reboot/remake was a rumor.
Deep Rising (German title ,OCTALUS’ 🤣) is so much fun! I introduced it to my wife about three years ago and we had a blast together 😀
I think it’s super well-made, holds up surprisingly well and all the actors have great chemistry. Also that one part (if you know, you know) is pretty damn gory for a 16 rating here in Germany.
and of course ending the whole thing on Skull Island of all places is just the perfect cherry on top.

About a year ago I bought the blu ray when I finally remembered what the movie was called, another movie from the 90s I forgot and found again was the Island of Doctor moreau, that’s your next episode tony!!!!

I hope you gain so many views and all the likes. More people need to see this classic! So my hopes of you reviewing it will spread so more know of it so we can demand a sequel.
it's sort of odd to see Tony actually have genuine chemistry with the co-host, but maybe Boomies just brings the chemistry with her.
