Hi Paul, I'm about to order an 070R, and I'm a bit stuck on what pickups to go for. You have experience with so many different combinations in Aristides guitares, so you're the right guy to ask! I want a medium output set with great split coil tones, but a very aggressive, tight, and clear rhythm tone, as I play primarily rhythm. I'm stuck between the Juggernauts/Fluences/Cold Sweats/Lundgrens, and I don't know what's for me! I'd really appreciate any help you can give me.
I feel like with he consistency that Arium provides that Floyd’s would be very good on Aristides guitars right? I’ve been debating for a solid month not pulling my trigger on a Floyd 060 but idk if I would rather just buy a JEM or some other variant.
+Paul Ozz haha maybe, also how does this feel compared to a ibanez Jcustom, wich has always been one of my dream guitars, and i cant really compare them because they are both pretty rare, havent seen any of them in shops.
Review coming soon but I can tell you the JCustom is nothing in comparison to an Aristides. The neck of the Aristides is a little fatter, a little less lean, but its way more comfortable. The tone is uncomparable as the Aristides is just 10x as resonant as any other guitar I've played.
i used to watch you years ago. just saw how Mike Stringer from Spiritbox is using that guitar w M7’s and came back to your vids w it. I am getting a 7 string esp baritone loaded w M7’s for drop F# tuning. hope it sounds angry and articulate just as you have it here. are you still liking Lundgren m7’s today? best for low 7 string tunings?
This was a borrowed guitar back in the day - and it sounded so good. I think Lundgrens are still super top-tier, and as Mike as proof? Obviously they sound pro-level!!! Cheers man haha. You're gonna have a GOOD TIME!
+Riversof Gore Shit, really? Fuck dude I'm sorry, I really dig it! No OD pedal and the PATCH is actually lower output. It's a very refined snarl that this guitar has and usually the pickups are viciously hot. Maybe you should check out my video where I review a Caparison 7 string with M7 pups in it - it's a different tone and was shot a while ago but it still sounds tasty!
Paul Ozz To me it sounds like lower output pickups with the gain up too high on the amp. I get that sound with PAF-7s and no OD pedal. There's just that looseness on the distortion and extra bit of noise coming out. I watched the Caparison videos and it sounds tighter on those although it's difficult to tell in the mix.
my favourite aristides you have shown us so far, just by a little tho jajaj all of them are awesome. Awesome playing, as always jaja.
+Felipe Cárdenas Villegas Thanks, jaja, :D
slayer yes !, great demo
Summoning Redemptiooooon. So sick.

Always good to hear some Death riffs coming through :D
Morbid Angel and Slayer Riffs! Awesome choices.

An Aristides will stay in tune better :)
Do you have any other guitars with M7's in them? I'm curious to hear how the Aristides itself is figuring in.
+RunawayThumbtack I have an old review of a Caparison 7 string with Lundgren M7s in there! Go back into my channel history!
i never knew my home country made guitars. pretty cool
+larsheuker I love em ^O^
+Paul Ozz im sure id love them too but they are so expensive , i cant afford these xD

Hey Paul what was the signal chain for this video? The lead sound was amazing
+Matt Perrotti A Marshall style lead tone with some tasty verb and delay! Axe-FX 2 was the main thing used.
Spirit crusher made my day ^^

Morbid Angel :)

Not a fan of that distorted tone. No OD pedal or are the pickups low output?
