Here in South Dakota that stadium would be the largest in the entire state, our biggest one fits 19k, and that’s our only good D1 school, South Dakota State University.
I at first thought it was a bit absurd they built such a huge stadium, but seeing the size of that band I can somewhat understand the need for such a high capacity stadium. I will say that video board is a bit of overkill size wise anyway. Shoot there's some D-1 colleges that don't have a board that big.
People always hate on the football team and I guess I can understand but one thing they need to remember is that high school football brings in THE MONEY so that's why they get preferential treatment lol
This totally boggles my mind how a high school game gets this many people. I'm from jersey. I played for a dominant team in my conference winning every game by at least 28 and the most we ever got in a game was probably a little over 3,000 and we played that game at the college of New Jersey. Other then that we had 1500 on a good day.
The real test will be what this looks like next season. It’s still a 1 school town, but coming off 3 and 4 loss seasons…. And a first round playoff loss. It was packed like this first game because the #1 team in Cali came here. No big teams will be coming for a while after this season, so it will be lucky to get filled at half capacity. More schools have built big stadiums, so the circus appeal is gone. That and when “non football” nationalities start coming to live, less important football life becomes…. I have a video of a rain game this season that I should compare to this. It’s litterally zero fans at the stadium lol
The high school I went to in the Dallas area, like Allen it's north of Dallas, had over 2,000 students and the 2 stadiums had about a 15,000 capacity but for big games they added standing room behind one of the end zones. There is one high school football stadium in the Dallas area that seats 20,000, that stadium is Mesquite Memorial Stadium. I believe it is the largest high school sports only stadium in the State of Texas.
Shout out to Texas from NJ! My high school's field can only fit around 6-8,000, only maxed out during rivalry games where they bring in extra stands to fit everyone, but god damn is this huge. Biggest crowd I've ever played in front of is around 15,000 during a state title game, these guys are doing it on a weekly basis in the regular season lmao I seriously hope my school schedules a game in Texas soon. We play out of state games every year, flying out to other parts of the country but I've always hoped we can fly out to Cali or Texas, some really talented schools out there.
I went to a 4a school in Colorado and I thought my stadium that held 1000 with 400 being the most I ever saw show up to a home game was big.. this is some SEC BIG 10 type stuff lol 😅 Notre dame could play here
To me, they did not have to spend sixty million on it. If you look in the back, it is not close to being packed. In my opinion they should've made it about 15,000 seats instead of 18,000. Even on a nationally ranked game or a big rivalry game, I do not think that they can fill the max capacity.
If u went to allen you would know that the side that was not fully full was the visitors side. The people from the other team normally don't travel long distances to see their team play.
One team. But it's more than just a 'stadium'. It's an athletic complex. There are the weight room, wrestling room, and golf driving room. All underneath.
Went to Plano West when we were actually competitive against Allen...in fact we were the last team to blank Allen at home in the regular season (of course that "stadium" is where the Freshmen play now)...Plano Senior in a down year also blanked Allen that same year. Plano East was so happy that we had beaten Allen because that ensured that they would be co champions in district that year. Cross town rivalries are quite intense in Plano but all three teams hate Allen. When Allen gave us our comeuppance the following year (and knocked us out of playoff contention to boot) there were signs of greatness of what was to happen to that program. Allen in Texas High School football now these days is like Bama in the NCAA.
My school can barely get New Jersey’s while Allen, Texas over here looks like they belong in the NCAA
Lmao we have hand me downs
Then come to a Bosco game in Nj they have 15k peopkle
Cryo Genic facts
I wish I could have played there but I moved my 8th grade year
lol frfr
At my high school we played in front of about 30 parents and 10 of those were likely to drunk to be on a high school campus. 👍
Brandonias LMAOOOOOOOO
When I went to Allen high school in the 80's the whole town had fewer people than the high school does now.
Must have had a huge influx of people moving in..

Most don’t especially the fcs ones

The Band Big For Nothing
Imagine having different prices for upper deck seating
They got a good booster club
Yeah here in Texas they take football serious
They probably have taxes go toward this lmao
They got a 88 million dollar bond package for this
more like tax money
@@Ryderdoesit As a citizen of Allen yes ur right on point

This is like 1/3 of Kyle Field

Allen has the biggest band but they do poorly at competitions. Plano’s bands do significantly better
Still a better place to play in than the Oc.O Coliseum

This is way better than the duke football experience lmao

my private high school (1990s) did not even have lights, so all of our home games were day games. i think they have lights now.

Madison Central's Jaguar Stadium in 10 years
