I hit 65 next year and I've decided that as I'm getting closer to finishing my time on this planet I'm going to do away with or ignore any BS or toxic crap and only concentrate on the things that truly bring me joy and pleasure and that list came down to 2 in number - BAND-MAID and beer, fck the rest. Damn Band Maid is all over the map. This banger is almost 70’s soulful rock.
Every member of Band-Maid have grown in confidence and skill over the past eleven years. They just keep getting better. Saiki bloomed after her throat surgery. Her vocal coaching after recovery taught her a lot. Miku had undergone similar surgery and both of them reaped the benefits of the surgery and the rehab coaching.
When Band-Maid promises "We will do our best", they mean it and I've never heard of a harder working band.
You did great highlighting how balanced the Maids are with their compositions. Every member is featured throughout their performances.
However…the secret that makes them unique in the rock space: they call their concerts “servings.” So each solo is not to show their individual talents, but rather their way for each member to serve you, the listener. That’s how they think. Zero egos in this group.
The other member of Band-Maid calls lead guitarist Kanami, SENSEI, meaning teacher and is known as a drill sergeant during practice

You wouldn't think when you first start watching an all female band in maid dresses playing a hard rock (that's a first) that they would play a real proggie hard rock. That's Band-Maid. They have several proggie songs. By the way, Magie is the French word for Magic.

If you love bass and drum solos, do I have Band-Maid song for you. The live video recently out on RUclips and going viral is titled "Honkai" SPIN-OFF. The intro by the "Thunder Buddies" MISA, the bassist and Akane, the drummer, is EPIC. After you watch video, you will ask yourself, "why can't all rock and roll be like this?" The answer, of couse, is there is only one Band-Maid.

Yes, on the outro solo to Choose Me, Kanami was using a sweep picking technique.
I think to be very technical, that "sweep pick" was more of a "broken chord." Very similar technique, just more slowly and deliberately arpeggiated. Both really hard techniques.
