I quite adore the Thousand Sons. A Legion based off the twin themes culturally of ancient Egypt and Persia, with its motifs being sorcery and knowledge. And of course it's Terran roots in ancient Achaemenid lands which lending an eventual fate of tradegy, betrayal, and loss. Perhaps in the earliest days of human history the Emperor had been Zoroaster himself, to grant so many boons to the neophyte 15th Legion.

Question, do you OC think and or believe the" Thousand Sons " were supposed to hold the position of the "Grey Knights" ,but the Emperor after awhile said to Himself "meh"!! Due to that the problems of the "flesh change" that could have been removed became a serious problem. Do you think indirectly the supposed deal with the Chaos Gods were quietly kept above board?
im pretty sure thats true, the emperor even once offered magnus the chance to rejoin the imperium and he would be given an even better legion, wich was heavily implied to be the grey knights, but he refused because as the thousand sons couldnt be redeemed due to tzeench owning their souls or something magnus chose to stay traitor just to not abandon his marines

The answer to that is always the Guard. They're the first response, and often last since there's not enough Chapters to go around in a galaxy of millions of worlds, space stations, asteroid mining stations etc. Astartes also often come to break the spine of the enemy, leaving the Guard to sweep up the rest, i.e. the routing mass of enemy making the majority of their numbers. As for the fleets, their greatest kill count has to be Exterminatus, but however much this option is brought up, it is a matter of last resolve.

The young inquisition looks puzzled a moment and answers "no" candidly. "I thought not, it not a tale the inqiusitorious would tell."
"The Thousand Sons were no magpie hoarders of lore."- Me hearing that line, "Hmm yes, Blood Rave......stupid brain."
@@aguspuig6615 his sons those were his sons and he could not abandon them which is very sweet of Magnus
@@augustuslunasol10thapostle magnus was almost as empathic and loyal to his sons as Angron was to his chosen family on Numeria before the butchers nails.

My headcanon is that the Grey Knights are from Magnus' Geneseed cleansed of the Flesh Change mutation. Grey Knights being from Emperor's Geneseed sounds like "My OC is Perfect and Unbeatable" nonsense lol
These videos have made me want to start a HH Thousand sons force
Now this is a way to open a new full year of lore.
Excellent video. One of the most interesting legions & one of the biggest tragedies of the Heresy.
Killer AF video as always Brobot!!!!
I could listen to you read and the storys you tell all day. you should do audio book readings as well
I am genuinely happy that all of you are genuinely happy here as the Historator gives unto the Imperium of Man yet another treasure.
I liked the video and narrative, thank you. Good job!
Absolutely fantastic video.
Black Dragon "Look at them with their Flesh Change....lucky us , our gene seed is free of even the slightest mutation."
At last he is back.So missed this voice.
Glad you r back your video s r awesome
Question: Who killed the most Xenos? (since the Heresy)
A) Imperial Guard
B) Imperial Navy
C) Adeptus Astartes
The answer to that is always the Guard. They're the first response, and often last since there's not enough Chapters to go around in a galaxy of millions of worlds, space stations, asteroid mining stations etc. Astartes also often come to break the spine of the enemy, leaving the Guard to sweep up the rest, i.e. the routing mass of enemy making the majority of their numbers. As for the fleets, their greatest kill count has to be Exterminatus, but however much this option is brought up, it is a matter of last resolve.
D: Kryptman and/or Yarrik.
I just love the perspective you take in telling you stories in Warhammer 40k.
_They were no Magpies..._
You know, some of us aren't ready to give that up, no matter what GW thinks.
Excellent video as always. Thank you 😊
0:15 We are some of us, cursed with knowledge.... Aight Thanos!
Very jealous when my friends legion gets an hour long video and mine only get 10 minutes :D Great job! 😀
Well narrated!!
Since I devoured your knowledge many cycles ago as it seems now to my people mind quite possibly due to aesthetics or possibly just not proper upkeep I always forget to add you in my big collaborator wish list but to have you and ab Prince and the others together retelling the tales would be such such a pleasure if that could even be afforded in this damn damn dark age
Damn, your voice, your music...
This is some grade A story book-like content to fall asleep to
❤
Ah, the Blood Rave... I mean, the Thousand Sons. My favorites!
Thousand sons are my most favorite traitor legions: for espousing "ignorance is nadir" maxim
Magnus' fall can be butterfly effect from Navigator's greed
I would like to know when I'm going to die. It would help me make a clear timeline and set my expectations/make a bucket list.
It would drive me to complete my ambitions and ensure the prosperity of my progeny... A very strange thought.
If I recall correctly Magnus got along best with Perturabo, due to their love and appreciation of information.
Perturabo and the Khan
@@SonsOfLorgar Such a weird combo. Besties with the most free spirited AND the most iron-handed.
@@randomcenturion7264 it was indeed quite the strange friendship
I have to say I miss zegram's voice as Magnus
Do you think Magnus was made big and red and had those huge horns on his armor so he would look like the devil from "Legend" with Tom Cruise?
Magpie Hoarders, eh? The Blood Ravens would like to know your location.
I'm sorry, but I still can't call the Thousand Sons, and Magnus, the villains. I still love them all, as much as I love the Ultramarines.

For years I've seen and heard the whole "Magnus did nothing wrong" thing. That is just folly and wishful thinking at its worst. Poor Magnus. Brought down by his own hubris.
"by his own hubris" how is trying to be a good person hubris he fell because of the emperors hubris not his own
It all comes back to the Emperor, just like if you believe in a divine being having created everything all the flaws percieved in the everything comes back to the creator, but perhaps big E just work in mysterious ways eh?
It’s a short-hand for rebuffing people that blame Magnus for the fall of big Es plans. It’s 100% of the emperors fault in a ridiculous amount of ways by being a bad leader and father that Magnus causes the problems that messed things up.
In short…Magnus did nothing wrong.
@@bitharne It is nit just Magnus neither, big E treats all the primarcs the same, like babies and they are hundreds of years old, big E was a horrible leader and humanity payed the price.
Imagine being so wrong and so loud at the same time
We just not going to talk about that "Kingson Crim" at 45:10?
