  • Hey guys! In this video, I finally finish off a long Halloween day of flying up to San Jose, California aboard Delta Connection after an awesome experience aboard the Delta 777 Retirement flight. I originally had this flight booked in Economy but was given a free upgrade to Comfort+ which I'll always take. Short night flights like this always for some reason are one of my favorites, especially when it's clear out as the peacefulness just sets in I guess. It definitely helped that SkyWest and Delta know what they're doing as far as passenger experience and COVID safety precautions making this flight even better. Rarely do I get a flight aboard a regional jet with power outlets and this 4 month old E175 had them which was sweet. We also got a snack bag, free IFE, comfy seats, and for me at least, plenty of legroom. Overall a great experience and I'd highly recommend Delta in general when choosing who to fly as they always deliver a high level of service 95% of the time. Hope you guys enjoy!

    Definitely prefer flying into OAK than anywhere else. BART is literally across the street. Huge Southwest presence and only 40 minutes from my farm lol!

      OAK is a good airport. I flew the SWA Santa Barbara flights. SBA-OAK and OAK-SBA. Not a bad airport. 2 problems. One, no TSA Precheck. Two, its an hour away from my friends house in SJ.

      @@barharmie Yeah, I've also noticed that the cheaper fares are starting to move across the bay. When I'm visiting my family I always flew into Oakland and took BART to Dublin to get picked up but it's getting expensive to fly into Oakland.

      Sfo has Bart within the airport. I do agree san José has yet to get Bart. Bay Area public transport is pretty bad though.

    With all the dozens of trip reports you've made,I can't think of one where you rented a car--you seem to either Uber or take a shuttle bus to the hotel or whatever desired destination--in this trip to SJC, you must've been exhausted, your day starting out on the east coast,finally ending your day in Pacific Time--was about 930pm PT but Pittsburgh time (body clock)would put you at about 1230am! Interesting when scrolling through DL's entertainment section,the AA logo comes on,as if you made a mistake on what airline you boarded! As for San Jose,I understand the cost of living is super-expensive,apartment rents are stratospheric

    Never flown out of San Jose, because it's out of my way to travel to the airport, but do go to San Jose occasionally (okay mostly during hockey season pre-COVID) but if you do go there for an extended period of time or have time to find a place to eat before you have to take off for your next exciting flight video, try out Iguana's on 3rd Street. Not too far from the campus of San Jose State.

      @SYDAirlineEnthusiast Месяц назад

      I might have to disagree with you on there cause it isn’t a hub for frontier or sun country.
      It’s mainly a hub for delta, American, United, and Alaska.
      The other airlines don’t follow a hub system, especially southwest, who follows a point to point system.

      I flew into lax last October. It improved. Every terminal is connected airside and lots of good places to eat at. Of course, you still need to take a bus to that weird remote American eagle terminal, but aside from that, it’s a decent airport.
