I say this because they had a lot of time in 2008/09 to spend on planning the story out because of the writers strike. Maybe, Vince Gilligan has been just doing a great job keeping this top secret.... and these leaks of photos with actors "during production" are leaks by Vince himself. Amazing if that were true, but i think its makeup.

I love how when Saul is first introduced, he's shown as this budget shitty lawyer with a crappy firm, and you're left to think he's probably just super incompetent and a crappy. But behind the grimy exterior, there is a brilliant legal mind, a very keen negotiator, a very well connected smoothtalker, and a savvy hustler.
"You're not that lawyer on late-night television, are you??" "Better Call Saul!" "You're the billboard guy. You're the lawyer" "Better Call Saul!" Those parts gets me everytime.
You can see the stark difference between the Saul in Breaking Bad and the Saul in Better Call Saul. In BCS you can see Jimmy fighting for his soul and stay on the right path but in BB you can see that his dark side won the battle and he's in it completely; he's a damn good crook and he knows it. I'm psyched to see the final season of BCS and see how things go off the cliff and lead into BB.
He has had a comic role (almost) in breaking bad ,but those who have watched BETTER CALL SAUL would agree that he is a damn good lawyer. He even beat CHUCK for crying out loud!
I love when he says only the very best, he hesitates because he wants to say "and" but instead say with just the right amount of dirty. Like he pauses briefly to think is this too schmaltzy and fails anyway. Gotta love the little nuances
