I was wondering if anyone else noticed the scat was upside down. The little marker spot he pointed out is where the hook tip gets tucked into in a Texas rig I believe.
I took the padded seat off my stand up pole and replaced it with a padded toilet seat instead . I feel I am much more accurate making short pitch casts now . I missed a giant last time out when I skipped one of these under a floating outhouse . Bass was so big it sounded like a toilet flushing when the fish hit it as soon as it hit the water .
These things are amazing! They are a new staple in my bag. You can walk them on top water just like a frog too. I love that you use them in any application. Slow retrieve, through weeds, popping like a rapala, and top water even through pads. Try it out!
@@MrBassTV funny thing is I was planning on filming a cover scat video this weekend and saw this. I'm going to be targeting Wisconsin smallmouth though in clear water.
Looks like it casts very well you could prob catch the same fish with a splitshot or MOJO rig or a jig or a T rig or a C rig but it is just fun to catch them on da poop lol
I love this bait...heavy weedless gets bit by all bass...easy to use..lost a monster last night on the pink 💩. Broke 40 pound power pro braid at the bank...florida pond hopping it works great 👍
I heard if u put them on Carolina rig these scat baits get smashed. I never tried it on Carolina rig but sounds like it would probably work well. But u where using them upside down haha the hook slot is for the bottom haha so the hook can slide up further and give u bigger bite gap but hey if they still worked guess it doesn't make too much of difference.
Well heck, that was a good day fishin poop! Lol, maybe I need to try some poop....Got to see the new tournament legend rod at scheels last Sat and dang is it nice!! Have you done a rod review on your St. Croix's?
I see it catches fish, but it still just seems gimmicky to me. I feel like you're probably catching the same fish you could catch on a light jig or Texas rig
It's an amazing bait that casts far and catches all sizes of bass in grass or open water..skips good and goes through cover exceptionally well...and has not been seen alot 😉 .
Sweet. What size hook did you prefer? 4/0?
Damn he caught fish rigging it upside down!

Are they scented accordingly?
Lol. They are scented, but fortunately not that scent.

😂
I think I will just keep using Lake Fork Ring Frys :)
Now you should try the yamamoto yamatanuki
Great video! The scat is designed to be fished the other way around, the bump you highlighted is to hide the hook point 👍🏻
Rigging both upside down 😆
Yep. And it still catches fish. Lol
Hahahaha nice man. Subbed!

We all need farm ponds like this one. Poop bait. Hard to believe but sure worked well for you :) Thanks Mr Bass!
Just FYI - you rigged the cover scat up upside down.
Yep. And it still caught fish

That sounds like a blast. I image the smallies will tear that thing up!
Oh sh*t!!! Typically a crappy video would be a bad thing but this one was solid!!
What hook size do you use ?
3/0 for the 3.5”
👋🏻
Great video! Thanks for all the info 🎣
Nice going with the Scat. Nice little farm pond to . Your right it is not a search bait . Have to know where to throw it . Stay Safe Tight Lines
Thanks for the donation! Next time I will rig it correctly. LOL

Matthew says that they work great on a Carolina Rig. That’s what I will try next.
@@MrBassTV Yeah I bet it would

It’s upside down?🤷♂️
Yes and it still catches 'em. Lol
It for sure does! 🎣
Don't get any turd on your hands. Lol. Good one, Mr. Bass
Nice test
Good amount of bites on the ole stink pickle .. Kind of disappointed not a single Howdy Ho while casting

You are probably right. I think one advantage is that it casts very far compared with a regular texas rig

Both of these suck, the jackall cover craw was the best one imo, had claws and it would slide under docks or cover without weights.
Thanks. I haven’t tried that one yet.
Your way off on your weight estimating
Sounds like a nice little honey hole!!
What a crappy video. 😂 😝 Thanks dude!
You're welcome
