    A variation to consider (which also might be a cheaper option) is the Scooby Doo Rig. Essentially the same thing, but instead of a stiff wire, it's replaced with some fishing line, something we all already have.

      Thats actually a scrappy do rig. The Scooby through rig is something different.

    great vid and info Jimi ! I tried the Tokyo rig few years back, but didn’t really give it much opportunity. I need to try to again. As far as bait fuel, I honestly think it is more a masking scent than anything else. Since no smell, that’s why I say that. I’m sure it has to help. how much, is still to be determined. I definitely don’t think it can hurt.God bless!

    Just a heads up guys, the baitfuel i put some in my zoom uv speed craw bags, 2 of em it almost took the top layer of the plastic off. Made them look dull, but I have caught fish in tournaments when my partner was throwing same bait w.o the baitfuel. I just put it on before it hits the water now.

      I find that if you put it in the bags it just ending up looking like peeled skin. I just add it to baits as I use em.

    Hey Jimi, next time you do that Tokyo rig offshore I dare you to try a jackall archleon with it. Another soft plastic design to be used as a punch bait that works great just fishing it normal

    Great video, have some of those poop turds in my cart , looks like I need to go ahead and purchase them lol , also another great bait on the tokyo rig is the Zman Fatty Z and the Turbo Fatty Z , I really didn't notice a difference in the amount of bites from the tokyo or a big swinghead but they both got bit pretty consistently , as far as bait fuel I started using it end of summer and my bites died down, don't know if it was seasonal or baitfuel is a detriment lol

    The cover scat is my all-time new favorite soft plastic stick bait. This spring alone I have caught five fish over 5 lb and a new PB 9 lb 4 oz. Beating my previous PB by about a pound that I held for over 20 years. I picked up a pattern on this rip rap with these pitch were coming up at night on their beds and I've just had a time wearing them out. But I don't get bit much on anything but the cover scat. Thermostat and a 6-in stiko worm have been the deal.

    I think it works. But I can't tell if it works during the day and that sounds funny but when I use it at night I'm catching everything I've caught two catfish over over 10 lb 5 lb drum three and a half pound bass all in 30 ft section of rip rap using a coverskat and bait fuel. I used to during the day I get bit but I don't know can't tell if makes a difference yet

      It works without question, it’s not super drastic but you will get a few more bites, more aggressive bites, and have them eat it deeper while holding it longer than normal. The change is noticeable, especially side by side or working on the same school.

    Why do you have an employee, team member ?Randy ;that is trying to get a product ban(Live scope) . that one of your main sponsors, bass tank is trying to promote. Randy is entitled to his opinion but when he’s trying to BAN live scope from the fishing industry that becomes the issue. why aren’t you supporting your sponsors?Fish the moment and Bass Fishing Declassifield can’t have it both ways. Please explain.

    • @zachg5356
      @zachg5356 Год назад +13

      Randy is trying to ban it from the tournament trail. Not fishing. Recreational anglers can fish it if they choose too. Some other circuits have already startd to ban it. Randy is an absolutely incredible source of hard-core hawgin tips. That's why he's on there that and I know he and Johnny go way back. Furthermore I'm not certain why this upsets you so much? Are you financially invested in live scope?

    • @landonfrey7369
      @landonfrey7369 Год назад +9

      It’s not up to randy to ban live scope, he just one of the driving forces but you have to agree livescope is not fun if you watched bass back in the day they were real fishermen with real raw skill now you turn it on and see guys with there necks broke lookin at a screen with a d shot just not any fun, recreational is one thing but imagine if they limited the Anglers to 5 combos and side and down image only then the real fishermen would shine

      @@zachg5356 no, I am not financially invested in live scope. I use it in tournaments and in my every day fishing. it’s a tool just like power poles are used in shallow water fishing. The issue is that he wants to ban live scope. answer the question..doesn’t that make him a hypocrite ?when he’s trying to ban a product but yet he’s taking money from the sponsor that’s trying to promote the product. everyone’s entitled to their opinions but when they start trying to ban a product that’s the issue. you anglers have a choice you don’t have to support or fish in tournaments that allow it or watch it on TV. start your own tournament trail without live scope. I wouldn’t try to ban it I just wouldn’t support it.
