I remember having a plugin on the old M33 firmware that allowed me to play music and games at the same time. I miss my old PSP and the modding community was great back in the day, nice to see its still active over 15 years later.

@@MicaelAzevedo sorry for the very late reply. If you’re on a PC you’ll either get a .xpd file downloaded or shown in your browser. The .xpd file contains the links to the actual downloads. It’s how a web server tells the PSP what to download and where to save it.
After being for so long in v6.20 PRO Fast Recovery, I decided to give ARK a try. I succefully installed but, as I didn't have an "Extra" menu, "Plugins" and "Custom Laucher" were added under "Games" and they both only opens the exact same parameters as "System". I beleive the ARK team didn't consider this condition. Does anybody know how to fix this?

But the entire video is made with the assumption that we know anything about this and have a clue of how old setups work, as a newby this makes me doubt every step. Please make a video where you assume we know absolutely nothing about psp hacking, handhold the entering the adress, as that got me stuck for a good half hour figuring out how to even enter an adress without failing. Well done, but could be much better if it was made for a newby into this world. Another example: "but if we go to the VSH menu..." i have no idea what that is and where!?

@@elchingue There are PSP to HDMI cables now that have internal scalers. They are relatively affordable and let you play full screen on a modern TV. For capture I used an HDMI capture cable and one of these HDMI PSP cables.
@@icingdeathicingdeath5581 PSP only support WPA (1 not 2 or 3). So there are a few things you can try. If your WiFi supports setting up a guest network with lower security that’s the easy way. Some old androids phones let you set up a hotspot without a password. Otherwise a second WiFi router setup for legacy devices is probably the next best option.

Do you have to delete everything of your SD Card like remove all your home brew apps and stuff like that and if not will they all work properly? I’m down to 30 gigs left of a 128g sd and I know having to transfer that all back over will take a coupple hours I love your tutorials plz don’t stop I just got a psp last month I’m just now learning
@@T_plays_gamez Most modern routers are too secure by default. PSP requires WPA (not WPA2 or WPA3), and for really old firmware it only support WEP. I use a second router with weaker security, or a guest network with weaker security. Some people have had success setting up an unsecured hotspot on an android phone.
My PSP connects to my wifi, I added funds to my wallet to buy parasite eve 2, but when I go into the App Store now that everything is set, the console freezes and then restarts, please help
It doesn't work for me, I tried different variants and it says this:psp the game could not be started (80010016). I solved it by applying the older method (6.61 LME-2.3 CFW) and everything is working.
I downloaded the 3 essential plugins on that site. I’m in the plug in menu and I installed the loader into the VSH but do I install the cdda and npdrm there too? The read me doesn’t say. Super new and would love some help. :)

@@Sssjose408 there original firmware is still being reverse engineered on an entirely volunteer basis. Someone still needs to RE the WiFi driver bits and see if wpa2 is even possible. The simplest solution is a second router you can turn on when the PSP needs access. Or a guest network with reduced security settings.

@@xdKnuspiii You need to get it on wifi (WPA1, not WPA2 or WPA3), log into the PlayStation store using a device setup code (See my using PSN video for steps). And then you should be able to activate. That video also has the activations steps. I have been unable to activate for video/comics lately, but activating for games is working.
@Nba_Jway if you want to revert to an untouched OFW 6.61, re-run chronoswitch to reinstall 6.61 OFW, then delete all the ark items from your memory stick.
@@Nba_Jway primarily it lets you run homebrew, such as emulators, and run backups/ISOs. It also has a lot of feature enhancements over the factory firmware and makes the system easier to repair if something goes wrong with the firmware.
@@saoloannathan9011 Ark4 has a lot of features and fixes. You can change the UMD region, it fixes the save error on a lot of old games, it has a much improved iso driver, built in file manager, ftp server, resistance to soft bricks, a new plugin manager right in the xmb, and on and on.
@@enriquepaniagua1133 if you’re already on 6.61 you can convert to ark, but you can’t run the 6.61 installer so this method may not work for you without a battery.

@@toshiba360 Most of the readme's were written long before ark came on the scene. CDDA installs for POPS/PS1, NPDRM installs for game and xmb.
