Excellent reaction. Ren is an amazing artist and human being. He just did an interview on the Zach Sang Show that was absolutely the best I've seen. I would highly recommend it to you & every Renegade. You will not only learn what he has suffered but also see his intelligence, insight, self-awareness & concern for others.

Incredible, right? This was the first reaction of yours I've come across and I was listening to the intro thinking Ren is a very good fit. He's all about honesty, vulnerability, lifting other people up. He did a short video thanking people for 1 million subscribers which I think you'd enjoy. An excellent interview came out today on the Zach Sang Show.
It's worth diving into Ren's catalogue as his music is so varied and captivating. He used to be part of a band called the Big Push, and they have their own channel too. Have fun!

This information gives you some background on Ren and puts much of his music and performance art in perspective. I gathered the information from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release.
Ren is a Welsh independent artist, musician, producer, and mostly self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton.
Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure.
Ren is currently in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries. His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects which he just released. Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Hope you do more Ren. He defies genre (just when you think you have him figured out ... blam.. whole new thing). His latest album #1 in UK is considered a hip hop album because Ren said he wanted to do one... but he excels at storytelling so who knows what's next. He's just put out a ton of music and will now probably be "away" until February as his medical treatments escalate. He is without label, and without limits.
We DEFINITELY will do more Ren. He's simply phenomenal.

Oh I'm so excited!! A new reactor just stepped into the rabbit hole!! Welcome! Get ready for an amazing trip! I first came upon Ren in the beginning of 2023 with Hi Ren. I have become obsessed, not only with his creative genius, but he is such a genuine human being. He has, and still is, struggling with so much pain. He is so authentic and incredibly kind...so inspiring. Just be mindful when you watch the tales to watch all three at once and in the following order. Jenny, Screech, and then Violet.

May this be the first of many Ren encounters for you. Truly a once in a generation artist who really never misses. What Queen and Pink Floyd did in my generation, Ren is doing in this one. Inspiration especially for other creative young artists, but he also speaks to a universal experience that so many people can relate to. And when he speaks of hope, it always gives me chills no matter how many times I hear it.

If you're really looking to fall down the rabbit hole of Ren, i cannot recommend "The Tale Of Jenny and Screech and Violet's Tale" enough to you. It's a trilogy of tragedy and it would be fantastic if you had a listen. Make sure you watch the video which encompasses all three of the songs though. Diehard fans may have a bit of a go at you if you don't lmao

Ren's music tends to render people speechless. As everyone in the comments have said, you really should react to all his amazing songs - trust me, you won't be disappointed! Literally everything he does is like a work of art! I just recently stumbled upon an older song of his called "Crutch" and all I can say is, OMG!!! It's hauntingly beautiful and grips your soul. Not to mention, the videography is stunning! Can't believe it's not a number one hit on every radio station! Would love to see your reaction to it!

You got exactly what Ren confirmed in recent interviews and talks, and it was a great reaction. He said a lot of people interpreted the song to mean he "defeated evil," but (paraphrased) he said it's really about acknowledging, dealing with, learning from, assimilating, transforming the darkness that we all have within us. At the end when he goes back to the operatic singing, it sounds triumphant and joyful, but the "dark side's" flickering lights are going crazy at the same time. I always see that as the acceptance and melding of the two sides into one. Almost like a cooperative truce. The famous psychologist Carl Jung often referred to our shadow side as being a part of us we tend to tamp down, repress and hide from the world, but it can actually contain pieces of our psyche that make us whole. And the more negative aspects of the shadow can be sources of learning and self-discovery. Subbed!

This masterpiece that Ren has put together literally helped me so much. Learning to live with what my world is, and learning to live with it, a dance of some good days and then some bad days. Good thoughts bad thoughts. Learning that it won't change but I can try harder and harder until my good days outweigh the bad ones. Since I heard Hi Ren, I've been taking steps to better myself instead of sitting on my butt avoiding everything because whenever I move my body, I get the worst pain. I gave up so many years ago because I tried ending my life to stop my endless life of pain so many times, but it never worked. You see, when I was 18, I was in a really bad car accident, I broke my lower back and multiple places in my pelvis, my legs and feet were crushed and I have a brain injury which affects my memory and balance. Since hearing Rens song, I've been taking the necessary steps to better myself, I've been getting hydrotherapy and physio, I've also been talking with a therapist to better my mind too. It's been hard and some days I just don't want to get out of bed, but then I start thinking about how far I've come, then I get up, because now I do better because I know better. I've also been learning Spanish, it's taking me a little longer because of my memory but I'm getting better everyday. Your reaction was awesome, I am also now a new subscriber to your channel. This was recorded live, in a single take! As are a lot of his videos. Ren's a genius fullstop but... when it comes to music and performance he's just untouchable! A once in a generation talent. He writes in EVERY genre and yet never misses, whatever the genre! He's fully independent too! No label, no financial backing, no PR machine. Just Ren and sheer talent! Every label under the Sun has tried to sign Ren. He turned them all down! His artistic freedom is more important to him than wealth and fame. With Ren it really is all about the music! A life full of horrendoys pain and suffering has nerthelss enabled him to understand his proorities very clearly and fame and fortune are way down the list!
Ren is insanely talented! He plays about a dozen instruments well. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All self-taught! He raps like a rap god! Believe me you'll be blown away! He scats and beatboxes brilliantly. He has incredible vocals! Capable of multiple voices, styles and tones. Some of his live vocal performances are jaw-droppingly good! He can go from all power and range, to the most beautifully delicate little vocal touches. Always dripping with emotion! He direvts almost all of his own videos. Many, like Hi Ren are recorded live, in a single take. His songwriting is world-class! Especially his lyricism. He's a poet really and a bloody good one at that! He's a fantastic producer and lays down all his own music/beats/audio! I could go on but you get the picture! lol. :)
To top it all, he's also an incredible human being! Highly intelligent, wise beyond his years, deeply compassionate, not afraid to show his flaws, really really cheeky and with a wicked sense of humour! He can be profound but he's always down-to-earth and self-deprecating. He has natural charisma and his stage presence is palpable! 99% of people who discover Ren end up falling in love with his music AND with Ren himself! You have been warned! :)
He wasn't even able to properly promote the album. He's too ill to tour and has spent virtually the whole of 2023 in a clinic in Canada, undergoing intrusive, experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain. Yet he ended up with a number 1 album in his home country, also top ten in dozens of other countries!
What happened wqs word of mouth, on the Internet. Especially on RUclips. The reaction community discovered them and Ren embraces them. Never pursuing copyright, interacting with them, giving them interviews and inviting them onto his livestreams. He interacts with his fans all the time too. We're incredibly devoted to Ren because we all realise that we've stumbled across a singular talent. He's SO good that we just stay with him. It's like discovering Bowie, or Prince but in 2023! He's also encouraged a really positive community to develop amongst his fans. He's an inspiration to many and much of his music provides a voice for many, in myriad ways. This is how he achieved a #1 album! :)
tl/dr - Ren's great! Ren's music is great! Definitely react to more Ren! You won't be disappointed. You will be surprised, constantly! :)

in the uk, a few years ago, we had a massive snow storm which is very rare, it came from the east. It was dubbed the "beast from the east" by the media and weather channels etc, this is a phenomenal double.

Great reaction. Who remembers before Ren when RUclips comments sections were a cesspit of hate & horribleness? Ren changed that, even those reactors who don't really like what they see (yes, very few and far between) didn't really get hate but suggestions for his other stuff that they may like. It is refreshing to read comments that are almost universally positive and helpful. It may just be my own changing mindset but I think I notice it on non Ren videos too. Ren makes this world a better place and by god we need that right now at this time in history. Oh yeah, enjoy the Ren rabbit hole Luke, it's an entertaining enlightening ride!

My favourite emotional piece of his is "How to be me", dealing with Ren's friend Joe's self chosen exit.
Unfortunately, this year, I have very personal reasons to look into Ren's songs regarding said subject matter, as my cousin decided to leave, as well.
Joe's exit and its aftermath is also a big reason Ren didn't go through with it, despite his own unbearable health. To put his physical suffering into perspective, check out "Seven Sins", or "Sick Boi".

I've listened to this song and watched this video so many times. AND so many reactions to it. Gotta give you kudos for being the first spotting what i saw in that video? All the light's flickering in that final aria. Meaning that finally the dark side and the light side joined to make a masterpiece? You can't fully understand joy if you've never experienced sorrow etc. He says it the the line before the aria? We are a coin but just two different sides! Well done. Loved your reaction.
