I’m shocked by how Billy keeps impressing. He is truly one of the most talented artist’s of our time. He’s got me into bluegrass and I just can’t stop listening.
@@Tracej99Lexington was insane! Was there night one and treated to this! Hopefully I’ll be able to hit both Pine Knob shows later this year on Fall tour!
Billy drives this band to stardom. Genius guitar playing with a killer band to blast along with 3 fabulous lead players. Fantastic harmony vocals help set this band in the top drawer of creative Americana music. We are so lucky to be able to hear and watch Billy Strings and his bandmates show us how it is done. Glad I am here to catch it all. I saw Doc and Merle and the Dead years ago. Doc and Jerry are grinning ear to ear on this one. New blood and how wonderful. Thanks Billy. Tip the band. They all deserve it. You are listening to the finest.
God gave this boy a beautiful talent and he is and has been so amazing with each and every performance and song he does. His band absolutely makes the music come alive Love it WOO-HOO
For those that don't know this man's background, suffice to say that he's come a long way and he's one hell of a guy. I've listened to many a blue grass, but this guy is off the charts. This goes without saying that the band as a whole is amazing. This is the music that generations now need to listen to. Keep this music alive and flowing for years and years to come! I'd give my right arm to see him in concert. I'm left completely without words to describe how amazing Billy Strings is....love you man!
James, Billy Strings is touring all the time he has shoes all over the country. If someone asks for your right arm to go to one of his concerts don’t give it to them. It only takes a little bit of money no body parts need be exchanged. BMFS!
As a musician...often your only as good as the musicians you surround yourself with. Music has brought me many places, from these green mountains where I grew up watching Phish play at The Front in Burlington before they were “Phish”. I’ve played all over this country of ours...from Chicago to the South...finally landing in Austin,TX where I was fortunate enough to be able to make a living from music...Billy & Co are carrying that musical generational torch. I grew up with music, my uncle the mando player for a bluegrass band The Bluegrass Patriots...to all the music my folks played as I grew up. I’m always lovin these guys...they really do compliment one another, the way it needs to be.
I want to ask if he might possibly be on the autism spectrum -- possibly Asperger's. This isn't a smartass comment. My exes family had lots of autism and Asperger's and the ones that had Asperger's were all excellent musicians. I swear I don't mean any disrespect. Just curious if someone might know. He has the look.
Me too, it just blows me away. He is coming here two nites is February to a small venue that doesn't have a bad seat in the venue. Planning on going both nites
I dont think it's even comparable how much more talented these guys are to anyone else in the genre. I'd love to hear an explanation to the 5 dislikes on this one
It's a wonderful tribute. Well done Billy, your music is FIRE. I hope flat gittin' on a Danny Barnes tune brings a wider audience to chow on Bad Livers. Delusions of Banjer really is a masterful album. Right on, Mr. Strings.
I remember seeing Danny Barnes walk out on stage with Jeff Austin at Delfest a bunch of years ago . He was fucking wearing a Napalm Death shirt and I looked at the dude next to me and said, fasten your seatbelt brother cuz this is gonna get freaky. Haha.
I don't know if it's on purpose but right around the 4:03 mark and a couple times after sounds exactly like a mound tease unless that's how he wrote the song
As a hard rock / old school metal player i always appreciated the upbeat bluegrass stuff . The playing is phenomenal. I always joked .... give a bluegrass player a Gibson and a Marshall and all the metal players would cut their hair and get s job at McDonald’s
Lol, no…. Hard rock/Metal requires more than this right here. Attitude, phrasing, vibrato, tone, etc… Yes what Billy is doing is badass, but would he have been as good as Randy or Zakk with Ozzy or Vivian with Dio or Gary Moore in everything? Buckethead can do all this stuff Billy does in his sleep.
Some might say Tony Rice "blew away" Doc Watson, and I'd call them fucking nuts. There's some parable about the student becoming the master. Seldom Scene brought us something like this... Their vox might've topped the Strings band, too. But what the hell is the point of rating bands when they're all in the stratosphere? What are your thoughts on Tom Brady, btw?
I watched Saturday Night Live yesterday and as usual they had some puke band on the show. I thought, "What a shame, they could have had Billy Strings on their show." I wonder why they are having a problem getting some TV exposure. They did a three minute shot on the Jimmy Kimmel show but that's about all, as far as I know.
"Here's a creepy love song." -Billy
He blows life into every music he touches. God bless him. Many have the talent, but few have the will.
Been at this almost 50 years, skiing, climbing, live music, everybody will be bragging and drinking that wine
I’m shocked by how Billy keeps impressing. He is truly one of the most talented artist’s of our time. He’s got me into bluegrass and I just can’t stop listening.
Same. I didn't listen to bluegrass until I got hooked on Billy. Now I'm a big fan.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
He ain’t “human!”
Greatest band of our generation right here
I won't quit going to Billy shows until I get this live. And then I'll keep going after that.
Hope you made it to the Lexington show last weekend. 20 minutes of pretty daughter, absolutely insane

Facts. Seeing Billy's a few months younger than me really gives me hope for my generation lol

I'm so glad 😊 I saw him before he got so popular
His band deserves a higher cut for sure though. Billy makes the dollars and the band makes the change

How many times can I say, "WOW". Always excellent. That one was near perfect.

A band of virtuosos. Brilliant playing by all. Billy Strings is a phenom.
These men are gifted and puting it to real use. Thank you.
I’m a die hard prog/fusion fan - Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Jeff Beck - but Billy Strings is from another planet. Just amazing, and his band, too.

Only of goes by boat. We have to protect this man at all costs. We got to keep him out of airplanes. We've lost too many good musicians early.
I have yet to hear a Billy Strings performance that I didn't love. I have to see them live!!

Danny Barnes!
Yeah, that will "play". Do it by the book first, then "improv" the rest. I "like" it.
