Something new for you today : British English at the British seaside!! I do love a good pebble beach, so making this video was just so enjoyable!
In this video you'll learn some DAILY English in use today! Very essential for your learning :-)

I must laugh, when you talk about the sock-and-sandals thing. Is it also hilarious to you in Britain? How funny. To me, as a German, this is THE "typical" German tourist on the beaches of the mediterranean sea. Here, we also laugh about such folks - and hope that nobody will find the same combination on OUR feet.
I think English & Germans are very similar ☺️
I think it's just "men", whatever the nationality 😂 But what I found to be typical for british men - to walk topless aside beach🤦♀️

Hallo my princess...firstly I wanna beg your pardon for my inexcusable absence last time. Well, seaside is one of my fave topic! Nice idioms you used to describe your feelings when it comes to going to the seaside and the atmosphere you breathe over there! Socks and sandals...well sandals are ok, but socks...I'm sure you'd never put socks on along with sandals...you are posh and your elegance would spread all over the beach! Well, I reckon all the the children are the same, be them from England, Italy or wherever...I'm quite sure that fish and chips is exquisite, especially eaten in front of the sea! In Italy we have a special dish, called sea bass to crazy water...It's fantastic and I advice you to taste it when you'll come over to Italy! Are you a good swimmer? I guess you do! And yes, I totally agree with you about jellyfish...I hate them and scare to be stung! It's so entertaining to have a nuance of british culture...I just love it! It's so interesting to find out many aspects of your life, habits and culture. Fantastic lesson! I hope you'll go for the seaside this weekend and I wish you all good. Thanks Catherine, your video is really beautiful and interesting. Paddle has a double meanings one when someone go in the water until the knee and the other is a sea activity when you use the paddle to move the boat. Today I'm learning a lot of sentences like parasailing or wind Breaker or crabbing , etc.

When ordering fish and chips, the questions were same as asked in NZ. Why are the fish and chips, we eat in the summer are so delicious? The vinegar and saltiness are the best!😀

Objection, dear Katharine! The phenomenon of socks and sandals is most typical of us Germans. In fact, the well-known sandal manufacturer with the letter B in the beginning is a German company.

So it was 68°F when you went to the beach. Well it is 28.8°C where I live and it is humid as well. I do envy you British people with your cool summers.
I have only been to Blackpool in September, at dusk. I can image how beautiful the English sunsets must be at the beach. I only experienced beach sunsets in Florida, Mississippi, and Long lsland (New York State).
I will go back to England to experience an English summer at the beach. Brighton is on my list.

Well, I just wondered if you can use 'beach' instead of 'seaside'. Maybe they're slightly different, I guess. By the way, your shirt is so summery and gorgeous！I love it. How is your suger level. O too am mold diabetic take a pill each day. Needs to eat small portion each 3 hours . To maintsin constant suger level.Never eat ice cream is poisen. Suger substitutes will cause you Memory lapse. Are worse than suger❤

Hi Kathrine. 🙂Fetching English lecture on daily life as usual. 👌Just came home Monday from a week in the beautiful coastal town of Deal (Kent). Had several dips in the sea, although it was freezing cold, but I didn't want to be seen as a chicken, especially since there were several ladies at least 10 years my senior (I am 57) out for a dip. 🥶🐥Had to buy aqua shoes due to the pebble beach and ended up buying turquoise ones. This nice and sweet lady in the shop corrected me because I said I wanted the blue ones. I replied, "I am a man; turquoise is not in my vocabulary. I only see blue, green, red, etc." She actually laughed at that.
