Congratulations on the engagement. Today’s lesson is wonderful little sentences. Thank you, my teacher. I pray to God to open your heart to Islam and grant you Paradise.❤❤
Congratulations, Katherine, on your engagement! Wishing you both lots of happiness and success. By the way, is 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating' similar to 'The proof is in the pudding'?
@@englishwithkatharineThe proof of the pudding is in the eating (proverb): the real value of something can be judged only from practical experience or results and not from appearance or theory
Congratulations Katharine for your engagement. I hope that Tom, as good Scottish, will get married wearing the kilt, won’t him? Since our trip last summer on the NC500 route, my wife and I love Scotland.
We use most of the idioms you mentioned here in the USA. However, when talking to different people from different parts of the country (including the UK) and different generations, you should use plain simple English with the least amount of idioms when speaking. This is especially true when it is job related. This is coming my experience. An example of this is when I spoke to a co-worker who was in his mid-thirties. I mentioned a former co-worker, who we both know, that he was a ‘pinko-commie snowflake’. He did not know what it meant. The term ‘pinko-commie’ was a term used in the 1970s and ‘snowflake (people who take offense at anything from political policy changes to offensive comments are as weak and vulnerable as a speck of snow)’ was a term from the late 2010s. I was calling this former co-worker a communist who was weak and vulnerable. It is a negative idiom but we use a lot of that here in the USA. Anyway, congratulations on your engagement. I hope you two have a very happy and long life together. I also love your Jane Austen shorts, but please stay away from that bad-boy Mr. Wickham. Mr. Darcy may not be around to help you. Have your fiancé around you.
Maybe I'm not pretty and smart, and not so funny like Simpson Bart, but with every part of my heart, I wish you happy 8th March ! Scent Of The Day : Veejaga - Hascish Homme (1983.) Cheers my dear.....
I just broke up with my girlfriend and You appear with a ring on your finger. Lucky me!!!😂. Well. Speaking seriously I wish you and Tom a long and nice life together.
