    you fail to mention you have to raise washer to unclip pump.....

    • @kolbiter
      @kolbiter Месяц назад

      You don't, actually. It releases from inside the machine but the catch is hard to see behind the pump from above . They show the bottom view to give you an idea of the location so that you you know where to press the release by feel.

    I can't thank these guys enough for posting this. Performed this same repair in an hour and it went flawlessly. I know a few folks here mentioned it's easier if you lay the washer on its side, but if it's on a pedestal and you don't have help to lift it down, this method let's you repair it in place and was just what I needed. Plus there are a lot of electrical components that will get soaked if you're not absolutely sure all the water is out when you tip the machine.
    If you're doing this repair because of a possible clog, don't forget to check all three legs of the bellows hose...i found a lot of buildup in there because a deteriorating floor mat was washed (don't ask) and if i hadn't removed and flushed it out, the pump would have just immediately clogged again.
    Thanks again RepairClinic. Saved me a bundle.

    I use this to , replace the pump in my washer dryer combination. Because they're so cheap. It only lasted a year so I'm back doing it again so here I am reusing the same video and I appreciate it. It worked great for me the first time.

    Wow
    Instead of using the three screw holes at the bottom of the pump LG decided to make you take half the machine apart
    Great...
    Fortunately, I was able to remove our pump by tipping the machine on its side (make sure it won't slip) and use a 5/16" ratchet to remove the bolts from underneath it

    I have a 2018 model WM4370HKA and my pump assembly didn't have the clip on the bottom that had to be released, thankfully. I have the washer attached to the small under drawer washer unit, so I couldn't tip mine back to release the small white clip. Mine had 3 hex head bolts that had to be removed, similar in the video where they pointed out 2 screws to be removed and then release the white clip on the bottom. I had 3 bolts then the entire assembly with drain pump and recirc pump came out.

    Great video and helped so much but just a word of advice, be sure to buy OEM parts, I just had to replace my new pump again after only 3 months because I bought a cheap replacement part......don't be cheap when buying the new parts?

    Why not just lay the washer on its side and remove the bottom panel to access the pump? Seems like a lot less work. Thanks.

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  7 месяцев назад +1

      If the washer is not draining because the drain pump is clogged or failing and not all the water is manually removed, some water may spill. If there is no water remaining in the washer, laying it on its side is another option.

    • @mikeskinner0815
      @mikeskinner0815 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yup I laid it on its side and that was way easier to get it out.
