I watched this video until the end for curiosity since he was doing a self test on the front loader, and I will tell you it was a very good video, no BS loud music people blend in their videos, good instructions step by step, to the point and effective in delivering the message, I felt I did not waste my time.

Excellent, clear, step-by-step video I'm so happy I found BEFORE I start taking my machine apart. In spin mode, my Lg inverter direct drive front end loader sounds like a wicked, noisy 747 with a slight clunking sound. Thought perhaps my kid or husband left bearings in their coat pockets and they launched in the machine's tumbler! Nope. I have removed the upper lid and motor panels, checked all tubing and the hydraulic arms attached to the tumbler for any obvious, visible issues. None. I will try a machine self test tomorrow....will see if the Lg washer is able to dx its own problem while in spin mode. Holy spin cycle speeds too! Thanks so much for this video and such a relief to not have someone "umming" and "ahhing" thru it all with unnecessary prose! Well done!

Wow! Such an awesome video! I see that you've helped ppl in the comments below...so, I'm going to unload my problem on you and see if you might grace me with some of your wisdom. :)
My washer stopped draining. Being very, very poor but somewhat handy, I did a ton of online research and the most obvious answer seemed to be the drain pump. I ordered the part on Amazon, took the washer apart and...it wasn't the pump. I really need to get my washer working and finally decided to ask for an appliance recommendation on FB. One of the comments suggested it might be the timer...and I had an a-ha! moment. I remembered that the timer said '7 minutes left' for an hour+ before I realized anything was wrong. I figured it wasn't moving on to the spin cycle because it *couldn't* drain. But maybe the washer just isn't getting the "time to drain" message...? I actually had a really hard time getting the wash to end so I could even open the door. Does that sound like a timer issue to you? If you have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions or directions to point me I will love you forever. I'm out of clean clothes! :,(

Thank you this was very helpful. However I went through all steps. I received no error cods, but the last one I believe step 9 or 10, drum spun but water was coming out from bottom of washer, I'm guessing a seal needs replaced. But what concerns me, is it was humming like it wasn't going into the next phase. Keep in mind, it filled, and the drum was spinning when we got to that step. Basically my problem is this, Washer stops at the spin cycle.

Thx for the great info!! Is there a way of testing the fabric softener water feed? Mine does not empty and all holes and tray are clean. thinking water isn't going into the dispenser when required. Thx again

Really interesting! I’m getting the FE error and this test didn’t throw any codes but I enjoyed doing it anyway.

This video is awesome. Unfortunately my LG washer isn't. My second time watching this video and my 4th repair in 10 months

Hi I know this video is old. But until 2021 it has become very handy to us. Do you have another video explaining what happened (need to fix) when the number don't move when you adding water and the spinning cycle?

Hi Eugene, LG front loaders have so many movements. Would you be able to show a Handwash Cycle?

I dig your Videos. Do the WM3400CW have a recirculation pump. When I do a self test I hear a motor but no water is spraying threw the Jets. No error codes or problems with Washer though.👍🏾

Thank you for helping me confirm that it is my drain pump. Very informative video. Now can anyone tell me the best place to buy a drain pump?
