  • Bob Newhart fan? Blooper fan? You've come to the right place. Enjoy these entertaining outtakes from the 1980's.
    Newhart was Bob Newhart's 2nd sitcom that ran on CBS from 1982 to 1990. Interesting to note, Tom Poston would marry Suzanne Pleshette in 2001. Suzanne Pleshette played Bob Newhart's wife, Emily, on his first sitcom. A role she revived for the series finale of this show, Newhart.

      In retrospect, perhaps they should have kept that part, seeing as how the entire series ended up being a dream in the series finale. It would have been epic.

    I'll never forget watch the real scene with Mary Fran @02:30
    with my family.
    It got dead quiet.
    Then Grandpa says to my Dad. "You see, I told you she's the real eye candy on this show!"
    Dad snapped back, "I never said I disagreed with you!"
    Grandpa looked at me and asked, "Well what do you think?"
    That's when I had to tell him I had been dating a 43 year old professor, for the last 8 months.
    He was so proud of me. lol!

      I still think they did Jennifer Holmes dirty. She was dropped like a hot potato. Julia Duffy was funnier, but somehow, it just seemed so cold the way Leslie/Jennifer was never seen again after season one.

    Do you guys understand that the "emily" blooper is the greatest blooper of all time? There's Bob letting his true lust for Emily shine ever so brightly, but not in an indecent way, at all (because these were good decent people with spouses who loved them and whom they loved, too) and then think about how this show ended - with Emily being in bed with Bob. Do you need more of a wink-wink/nod-nod? That's what makes this completely spontaneous blooper the greatest blooper of all-time. Bob and Emily really loved each other. And that includes some healthy lust, too. They never acted on those feelings. Those are special human beings. God bless them all. And the great Mary Frann, too (who gave her time and energy to help the less fortunate). What a great treasure we were given.

    • @slewofdamascus
      @slewofdamascus 3 года назад +11

      @@ramaraksha01 sir or madam, it's much more than a mere "TV Show". There's a history behind this production. As this blooper aptly indicates. This is Bob Newhart's life work. He poured his heart and soul into it, just as he did with his previous award winning show. Not only is he a one-of-a-kind comedian and writer (the buttoned-down mind...), so are his shows, with the help of a brilliant cast of actors. It's like saying the Carol Burnett or the Barney Miller show are just "TV shows" when they are part of the fabric of our culture...I guess it takes a special kind of audience to appreciate it...
