- Four eggs were in the nest, unfortunately only one chick survived. The blackbird father made the nest fall down. This and many nice moments from the blackbird familiy you will see in this video.

Wie traurig mit den Babys😢,die Küken sind echt so goldig,wie sie ihre Schnäbel aufsperren😁😁--ich hatte selbst schon oft in meinem Garten Nester und vor paar Tagen entdeckte ich in einem Busch ein gerade flügge gewordenes Amseljunges,die sind so niedlich mit dem Federkleid,wo noch Flaumfedern darin sind😍😍😍und tschilpen so niedlich🎶🐦

i've watched quite a lot of youtube nestlings videos over the years and all of them promptly removed dead babies / fecal sacs, except for an eagle killed by siblings and left buried in the nest.
Blackbirds have been featured in nursery rhymes and they truly fascinated us. My other favorite is red winged black birds. You all are familiar with these species?
Bird was not ready to leave the nest when it started walking around on the ground. Its doubtful it survived

@@lilianarodriguez1928 Good morning Liliana, thanks for your question! The nest fall down by accident and the chicks where lying for hours outside the nest. I discovered them the next morning and placed them back into the nest. I guess they were injured by falling down and also they might have been getting too cold.

Hätte, hätte, Fahrradkette..... Mir tun die beiden verstorbenen Küken auch leid. Aber wenn das Video dazu dienen kann, aufzuklären und solche oder ähnliche Fehler zukünftig zu vermeiden, hat es einen wertvollen Dienst getan. Wir sind alle nicht Fehlerfrei und hier ist nichts mit böser Absicht geschehen. Danke für das Einstellen, sonntagskind111, ich konnte sehr viel lernen.
Was heißt hier „mit böser Absicht“? Es ist grundsätzlich diskutabel, warum hier in die Natur eingegriffen wurde. Das Nest ist heruntergefallen und that’s it. Ich hätte keines der Küken eingesammelt sondern die Natur das Thema regeln lassen.

Was der Amselvater da veranstaltet ist kein agressives Verhalten, er möcht nur den aus seiner Sicht störenden Korbhenkel entfernen. Wahrschheinlich ist dass er die beiden Henkel als eine Art abgestorbenen Zweig Material ansieht, dass vom Nest entfernt werden kann. Wie sollte er auch wissen dass Korbhenkel und Korb zusammen gehören (bzw unlösbar miteinander verbunden sind), und zusammen mit dem Nest eine für Amsel unlösbar Einheit bilden? Dieser Kommentar hat als einzigen Sinn zukünftige Amsel Familien Tragödien vorzubeugen, bitte nicht als Kritik auffassen.
Nachdem die Jungen aus dem Nest gefallen waren und auf dem Boden lagen, sind sie vielleicht durch Verletzungen, aber mit Sicherheit durch Unterkühlung sehr geschwächt gewesen. Aus diesem Grund haben sie es nicht mehr geschafft, wie der überlebende Vogel, ihren Kopf zum Atmen, aus dem Gefieder der Vogelmutter zu schieben.
Da der Korb mit einer Folie ausgekleidet war, sind sie höchstwahrscheinlich erstickt.
Also beim nächsten Mal, immer versuchen, die Folie vorsichtig zu entfernen, wenn die Altvögel auf Futtersuche sind und das naturfremde Nest, zusätzlich gut sichern.

oder kurz gesagt einen Unsinn. Wem den so wäre müßten ALLE Jungvögel in den ersten Lebensstunden ersticken denn da hudert das Weibchen auf dem Nest und kein Jungvogel in dem Alter schiebt seinen Kopf raus.
Das die Folie nicht ideal ist stimmt, aber ersticken tut deswegen niemand. Bei Höhlenbrütern sitzt das Weibchen auch auf dem Nest und darunter und rundherum befinden sich Holzplatten. Deswegen gibt´s keine Todesopfer zu beklagen.
Bei gesunden Küken, sieht das Ganze anders aus. Aber die geschwächten Küken waren nicht mehr in der Lage, sich ausreichend zu positionieren, wie es schon die kleinsten Küken, bei Bedarf, unter der Federdecke der Mutter machen.
Für uns ist das nicht der erste Fall. Aber hier, haben die Küken keine 3 Tage überlebt. Lt. Tierarzt, bekamen sie zu wenig Sauerstoff und sind aufgrund der Folie (über Nacht) erstickt.
Überschüssige Wärme und Feuchtigkeit können nicht reguliert und abgegeben werden und die Sauerstoffzufuhr ist zu gering. Alle drei Faktoren zusammen oder jede einzelne kann bei Küken zum Tode führen. Daher ist so eine Folie nicht zu unterschätzen und sollte immer entfernt werden.

Not much. Mom nor dad will sacrifice their own needs for their young. They have to remain fit and healthy or in nature, they won't survive. Nature is not forgiving and not for the weak or unhealthy. Every animal has to be at their top physical health for survival reasons. They can always breed again and have more chicks if they have to abandon the nest due to lack of resources.
However, mom and dad does provide food very well in this video.
For some reason, they didn't like the handles on the basket. The adult is like, what are you doing out of the nest?

Oh weh, das ist wunderschön und schrecklich zugleich! Ein Hang zum Perfektionismus kann scheinbar nicht nur bei Menschen töten. Ein wunderbarer Film ist dir gelungen, bei uns haben es die Amseln dieses Jahr auch auf Balkonien getan nachdem der Vermieter die meisten Bäume auf dem Grundstück fällen ließ. Das zu beobachten also das Brüten war wirklich jedes mal nicht nur faszinierend, sondern auch herzerwärmend und das Ausfliegen werde ich wohl nie vergessen. Danke, dass du deine Amselgeschichte geteilt hast. Liebe Grüße 🙋🏼♀️

@@sonntagskind111 Die kleinen Krabbeltierchen haben es mir auch angetan und es ist immer wieder schön zu sehen wie sie ihr Leben in der Wohnung bestreiten. Mit den gefiederten, flauschigen Vogelkindern können die 8beinigen Mitbewohner emotional nicht mithalten, was sie aber nicht weniger interessant macht. Liebe Grüße 🙋🏼♀️

Die haben echt ne seltsame Art zu füttern. Sieht ein bißchen wie das Babyspielzeug aus, wo man Blöcke in passende Löcher tut. Oder ne Art Trial-and-Error Whack-a-mole. Von Nahrung-zerkleinern haben die wohl noch nicht gehört. ... Und was hat der Daddy da für ein Problem mit den Korbgriffen? Mann, so gestörte Eltern. Die Tragödie setzt der ganzen Familie jetzt zu.
Ich persönlich hätte den Korb allerdings auch am Regal befestigt, da ja Bewegung auftritt; Und es kann auch mal windig sein.
Hätte man die Jungen vielleicht aufwärmen können? Per Fön aus sicherem Abstand oder so. - Hab aber auch gehört, daß Amselnachwuchs generell ne geringe Überlebensrate hat.
Erstaunlich, daß keine Katze dem Nest Probleme gemacht hat. - Der wollte doch wohl nicht das Nest woanders hinschleppen, hah.
Woah, und dann peilt die Mutti nicht, daß ihr Junges neben dem Nest sitzt und chirpt? Die sind echt total verpeilt.
Und das Junge dann als krönender Abschluß in die Dachrinne rein. x_x - Wie hat sich die Situation weiter entwickelt?

Das ist sehr Traurig.Es gibt dieses Jahr sehr wenig Amseln und s Singvögel.Ich vermisse sie sehr.Der Gesang am Morgen,oder Abend.

Those are sick birds. We’re you using fertilizer or have any runoff near where they forage? It’s prob in the water, and delivered to the chicks mostly through the worms etc
nest fell down , chicks left naked on ground in the cold , got too weak / sick and no energy to call for food , eventually starved to death in the sleep , except for the one revived overnight from mom's warmth and was hungry craving to eat after without any food for last night

Thanks maxavail for your question. The father-bird teared frequently at the basket-handle, maybe he were irritated by this. So the basket with the nest inside fall down tragically.

It shows only the poor knowledge about this so common birds by sonntagskind111. From the previous recording she shold have known that they don´t use at all fruits to feed their chicks. Not interfering with the nest? Are you kidding me? She even placed the chick on it´s back in the nest after the fall on the ground!

I live on an island. I love cats but I do not own one. If I did I would only have a big run for them, which I think would be cruel to the cat to some degree. Others here have cats which are allowed to roam. We have quite a nice amount of curlews here and we had a pair of curlews with two adorable little chicks which would share the 3 yards around us, they were just starting to run around, then I saw one of the regular cats in our yard, I chased it away, then we did not see the chicks any longer. When we first moved here, we found two skeletons of two adult curlews behind our shed. I wish people would do the right thing, but people rarely do! Makes me so angry. I love birds also.

Hi Dara, thanks for your comment. I suggest, the father-bird had been picking the basket-handles until the nest inside fell down. I found the three chicks on the floor. Two of them seemed to be injured. Unfortunately they died one day later.
@@sonntagskind111 LOVELY video..but felt sad when they passed. My dear u know they died of being choked .....I hv 23 birdies i know a lot abt birds. Ofcourse this didn't happen to my bird's. I hv finches, budgies, bulbuls, Sunconure n my Kelly the Quail. My bird's fly around the entire house n I hv small mini balconies with plants n all enjoy n our very content. By evening they all go to their respective homes called cages. . .😀 They talk clearly in English n understand watever is said to them. I spend my complete time to my little birdies....I hv'nt bn on a vacation for the past 16 yrs as I can't leave my bird's. They are my life my whole world.... We enjoy each other's company....besides looking after my family too....🎉🎉👍🙏🙏
