I just found this out. Every year, I go to the tab on the bottom and close all workplaces. Then I put workers back into all the buildings. What this does is makes the closest houses to the workplaces provide people. When you do this, you will no longer see orange or red dots next to the workers, which tells you that they live too far away. Everyone may want to try it. Keep the game paused while you do it. Good vid.
I do it every time I build a new area & get it decently populated. It’s easier to keep on top of that way. But you’re right, it is a good tip as keeps the production levels higher too. Each fabling will go to their home to eat when they’re hungry so the closer they are to their workplace the less production time lost, which can make a massive difference. And if I do only have yellow or red fablings available I try to put them in a workplace that requires two or more fablings & fill the other slots with green ones to minimise the production downtime.
For future reference, when a new encounter spawns in the realm, the notice has a wee upside-down teardrop you can click to go straight to it. If you miss that because the message has disappeared, open the page symbol at the bottom (next to the hammer) and then go to the "history" tab and the indicator will be there as well. HTH. :D
Loooving this series! Excited to see what gets built next episode~ Maybe the Clock Tower 👀?!?! Keep on Keeping On, Penge, and thank you for doing what you do!
The castle is good to place near condos - but condos hate being near the rabble. Plus an embassy (staffed by commoners) allows you to trade materials with other countries, which is stupid useful
I bought this game because of you! Let me share one game tip with you. On the world map, you can just send a love letter to the princes/princesses. No need to send gift. Just click the envelope icon and send them a letter to improve the relationships 😊
I know it is coffee and not tea, but will you probably do a one-off of the game Coffee Caravan? I think, it also has some tea options and it looks so cozy.
Do you think it possible that Ferguson killed Eric Sr? Junior seemed to show up just as the beanstalk encounter completed. So now we have to care for Eric jr! It’s only right and it would hurt your heart otherwise. Or maybe my imagination is too dark
I wonder if Eric the Cyclops will help you fight if attacked. Don't forget to put in a pig sty in the upper left corner. I think that's where the pigs are. Near the trees.
You could relocate the house affected by the iron camp & then move it over one square. It doesn’t count the garden only the homestead being in the red zone. Once you’ve placed a pig farm & the pigs are in it, you can relocate it to a more suitable place if you want. I try to keep my pig farms near vegetable farms or a granary at least. Also if ever lose Fergus again, just click on his picture in the top left of the screen & then you can move him to where you want. I always try to put him back next to his tent when I remember because I am always losing him 😂
Writing this only a few minutes into the episode, assuming that if you guys already told Penge, he would have addressed it at the beginning of the episode, but are the foresters and lumber camps not diminished in effectiveness when he builds stuff in the area of their work? Might be causing issues with all the lumber, wood, planks and cole resources? I do not own the game, but usually, this is the case in other games of this type...
Watching you put down a perfectly good lumber camp and then proceed to knock down a bunch of trees with completely unnecessary roads... it hurt me. T_T Then you knocked out almost all of the trees that your very first lumber camp had left...with another unnecessary road (and poor farm management). If I didn't know better I'd think you had a vendetta against trees! :P
Roads are bad around farms. The farmers will leave the field, get onto the road, walk to the other side of the farm and re-enter the field when they could have just took a straight line to where they needed to go and walked slightly slower.
How bad would it be to temporarily destroy a bit the house that's affected by the iron quarry? It would be enough to move it one tile to the right to spare that family the bother.

Yeah, kinda wish there's a button to do that quickly. Now I just plan ahead as much as possible to avoid doing that

Surely the castle should be on top of the hill.🏰
The amount of time it took to spot the large green giant, even after the snow came was such a good laugh-inducer :D
Nothing against Winifred, she's glorious... but the only princess in my heart is the Farrah, the Tinker Princess. ♥

You get bees, and you get bees, and YOU get bees... EVERYBODY GETS BEES!
I loved when you did the early access for this, and I'm really enjoying this whole playthrough now! I got the game so I could do my own playthrough.
It's a really nice game, a lovely take on the city building genre. I hope your own city lives happily ever after!
I laughed my head off when you said, “They can stager out of the tavern and go and watch some puppets.”

Sometimes you get an encounter of a pair of emissary gnomes, who don't attract attention to themselves. Just two lil dudes with pointy hats
Excuse me Sarah, did you say "pointy hats"??

Just a tip when you get a new encounter you can click on the pop up arrow and it will take you to the encounter
Thank you for the very interesting video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 💖

( *Approves of the drunks watching the puppet shows* )

Oh no. That is entirely plausible but I really hope that isn't the case!
@@TheGeekCupboard Eric Jr dropped in with 5 days to go, so I think we can be reassured that didn't happen. Also, [spoiler redacted].

Penze, Fergus Is not actually wearing his trinket. You need to properly equip it.
Indeed, this gets sorted out next time!
Yesssss!!!! Another episode 😁😁😁😁
Loving this

Yah, but you need some so that the connectors go to the other places, later. [Just finished the hard mode run and they were essential].
@@Bethgael Yes, a road on one side. I agree.
