    I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

    Hello John ...greetings from Peru 👋👋👋... It is very important to take care of our bikes, even if they cost US$10K each. After doing a research to see what were the best options, let me tell you that your solution to hang your bike up was the simplest one I saw.... At the beginning I was closed to buy a Steadyrack Bike and expend US$180 for a pair, but after watching your video I made the same rack as yours, but I added a couple of hinges in the backside which connects the rack on to the wall. In this way I can fold my bikes, but only in way way. Thanks for sharing your video. I have just one question. I want to buy the same drill bit that you are using to do your guiding holes. Where did you get it??? I will appreciate your tip. ... Have a nice and save ride ...

    Is okay but some wheels have aluminium spokes that are fragile and can snap as a result of putting all the weight on it.

    • @chris4536
      @chris4536 Год назад

      The weight is bearing on the rim, not the spokes.
      The spokes on a bicycle rim are designed to support the weight of the rider plus the forces from riding. The tension of the spokes effectively suspend the hub from the upper part of the rim as the wheel rotates. This is why some wheel manufacturers are able to employ 'soft' spokes made out of essentially nylon rope (look up Berd wheels) which is said to offer a different ride quality to traditional rigid spokes.
