It really depends on where you land after punching Regret, sometimes you land amid 2 elites with dual plasma rifles, then basically that means instant death. I guess you are quite lucky this time.
This was a lucky run for sure. Keeping an eye on the radar can help you find the right moment to pounce, helps to avoid falling into a swarm of elites.
Focus on the elites first, kill the plasma rifle elites while leaving the others alive so you never get more spawning and just run around the arena to avoid the sword elites
There is a skip for this part where you can rocket jump up the side windows of the structure & drop in & the enemies wont spawn, then you can set up using the crates & objects to block the spawns when you do eventually spawn them, i think people only really use it for LASO though
If anyone is struggling I highly advise that you ignore the sword elites if possible and only kill the ones with plasma rifles. I have done this multiple times and got situations where only sword elites were on the field and so I just beat the shit out of regret while they chased me pointlessly.
As much as I love halo, this is one of the lamest boss fights in any game I’ve ever played. It can be difficult sure, but there’s literally no music, no special attacks you have to wait for him to do to be able to hit him, you just find him and spam B until he dies and hope you don’t get merc’d by a squad of honor guards
Actually game is not about boss. It is about supermacy of humans over other aliens. If you look at Halo series then the story of masterchief is running in parallel with many other events. In every game the role of player is hero of that series. E.g. story of halo wars 2, Spartan strike, ODST and even arbiter is equivalent to master chief.
I didn't even know you could get close and board him so I was bringing around the rocket launcher and plasma cannon from before to use everything I had, and then I would die to a dual plasma rifle elite eventually. I had to look it up to figure it out 💀💀
Why didn't you stick him with a plasma grenade? I'm pretty sure Regret can be taken out in 1 explosion if you do that. The trick is to stick him right before boarding. Basically you're putting your hand inside his shield to stick him, and then you punch him out as usual. You don't take damage from the explosion because all that is confined within his shield.
NGL if you play Legendary, and you work on this bit for a while figuring it out You realise the way he's showed you above is easily the most efficient way of doing so (provided you get lucky with teleports)
This boss fight was the worst thing Bungie ever did. It is boring, it lacks music, it is janky, it clashes with the lore, it involves too much RNG and it is unjustifiably challenging on higher difficulties partially due to the RNG. It is the single worst, least fun piece of content that they ever produced between all of their games, and it alone is enough for me to drop Halo 2 down below CE and 3 in ranking if not Reach as well. My hatred for this battle is immense. and I need to know if there is a mod that lets you one-hit kill him as it qould be lore accurate and actually make it an acceptable end to the level.
Are the spawns in this room infinite or can i wait by the entrance and pick off the dual plasma rifle elites until there are only sword elites like the people in the comments are saying?
The best thing you can do is finish the fight as quick as possible. You can kill the plasma rifle elites as you go if opportunities arises, but I wouldn't recommend getting too fancy. Move around the map and watch your radar, pounce when an opening arises.
seems fake... no. of elites in hard level is 4 once you jump on regret and got back. but in your case I can only see 2 elites and additionally in mere 4-5 hits of plasma shield went down and kill master chief but in your case even after hit shield remain almost 20-30%.
Man, he interrupted the hell outta that sermon.

I screamed
Put bro on skates

Yeah, right. I played this level yesterday and it took me some time to kill Regret because the double weapons elites

Took you a minute? Weak. Took me an hour
😆😆😆
Took you an hour? You need to get good.
I gave up and couldnt finish it.
@@jakefromstatefarm8964 you gave up & couldn’t finish it ? you need to try harder i couldn’t even make it to this level
Not legendary that grunt hit him the damage is all wrong for it and the numbers

That battle took me days to complete on Legendary back in high school. I died hundreds of times.
Master Chief caught on camera punching the shi* out of a priest.
Master Chief vs the Pope
0:50 Nope
It took me 3 hours to complete that mission and around 300 deaths just to kill Regret, those royale elite werent playing around
100 deaths an hour ? Meaning around 1 and a 5th deaths a minute

Lol, punching a boss till he die is not lame... It is bad ass.
@@mohitkathel yeah but playing it is kinda boring
@@medge8845 what would you say of killing 343 Guilty Spark... That was lamest of lame.
@@mohitkathel yeah now that I think about it gameplay wise halo doesn’t have a great track record with boss fights

Sword elites are so scary lol I always get so tense when they are in striking distance. Especially when they nearly hit you.

One of the most satisfying moments in the halo saga.

Sword definitely helped. Thanks for posting
That random plasma pistol 1:18 appears out of thin air
Regret dropped that, always does as far as I've seen.
now does it on LASO. took me a whole day.
Ayy gangster

I like this part now, though once I dreaded it.
Halo 2 was the best one. You have bad taste
My god i tried that but after 20 times he killed me
Whenever I play this, I tend to throw grandes before jumping on him. That's literally how you have to beat him when you play on laso pretty much !

Literally looks nothing like legendary
Took about five shots to lower his shield to zero. Looks like legendary
Legendary but he got extremely lucky that the Elites didn’t feel like attacking him
I hit legs super hard today and got to the gym early
Damn bro keep grinding
Regret's legs also got hit super hard today when he hit the ground early
YOu literally made it so easy to do
No ragrets
Dual needlers, thats all im gonna say
Só venci ele pq os elites estavam todos com espada de luz por algum motivo, se não mesmo batendo no regreat as vezes tomava dano no escudo dele

0:49 on legendary it should of noticed you
and also the elite after that should of hit you
my god why does everyone play the fake one? play real halo 2! only on xbox!
Wish I still had it. Would like to feel how the original plays against the remaster.
that was not legendary, this is a fake
