Came here because of how people were saying villagers back then actually wanted to eat Franklin during Turkey Day Holy shit this is hilarious and a little dark lmao
13 years old and people are still looking up this and finding this video. Noice! This game was the best of my teens. Also you sneaking off to find him with the utensils is like some kind of shady deal. lol 😂
So much I have missed in this game when I was younger. I mean I knew about all the events but never knew about some of the stuff you could actually do during a event. .
And that is why the Harvest furniture series is the perfect series to use when trying to impress the HRA rare holiday furniture that really isn't all that rare that scores you tons of points from them anyways. Not as cool as the other holiday series like Spooky and Jingle and Snowman furniture but the perfect for getting tons of points and getting the fastest and still having it be holiday furniture if the furniture returns its going to be one in of My many rooms that has *To be continued*
Its kind of the same thing as in ANIMAL CROSSING: CITY FOLK, where FRANKLIN's still hiding behind buildings and trees, but instead of just taking the fork and knife off the table, TORTIMER gives you it, plus, the townies aren't around the table, I missed that.... *Whirr*
Thank goodness Franklin doesn't have his usual Cranky voice like in later games, because if he did he would sound like a total monster like all the other Cranky villagers in this game.
I love the cranky villagers. You have to do favours for them for them to loosen up and become friendlier. It shows character development. The snooties on the other hand...
chadheck96: Yes, he's a character in my game. While you'll get different animals camping out, the igloos are built by animals that already live in your town.
Yeah not to mention I liked Franklin's reaction to seeing the Knives and Forks in the GNC version better, here he just says "no way you have another knive and fork, not again!" speech, in the GNC version he had some diversity because it would be a random saying each time he saw you bring the Knives and forks sure his panicing here may be funny at first but I can imaingine it gets old after a while, I really perfered his random different speeches when he saw them, not to mention they were funny.
elminibart: Franklin is the Thanksgiving turkey. If you swipe the silverware from the table (so people can't eat Franklin), he will give you harvest furniture in exchange.
Like Halloween, I've only experienced the Harvest Festival through New Leaf. Unlike there where you have to help Franklin get ingredients for the feast, I see that you have to help him survive to avoid being the main course of the feast. Gee, didn't knew Animal Crossing was pretty dark. I think he has mentioned his previous experience in New Leaf though. And unlike New Leaf where sometimes a villager would be in their house preparing a dish which you have to help find an ingredient, I see that they're at the fountain enjoying a party like the Cherry Blossom Festival.
BAM94productions: Sign boards can be bought at Nookington's. Once you've put one up, just stand in front of it and press A to select a pattern to display.
A7XBetch: The harvest furniture (and the other holiday series) can't be re-ordered from Nook. So if you want to keep it, you'll need to store it somewhere...in your basement, attached to letters at the post office, or in the island house (if you have a GBA + link cable).
toontownmasterqueen: The autumn sports fair will be on September 23 or 24, and the spring sports fair will be on March 20 or 21. It starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. (There are two hours for each event).
Man, I hope City Folk has a Harvest Festival. Along with Franklin. I kinda wish that they had the well in City Folk where they could have the festival. It looks like a lot of fun...
strahd9: I agree completely, although trying to find Jack at Halloween is even worse. Believe it or not, I've never fully done the Christmas one with Jingle (at least not more than one or two items worth). Maybe I'll give it a go this year.
Its going to be one of My many rooms that features holiday furniture (because I plan on getting Jingle Spooky and Bunny and maybe Snowman and whatever else they have that I can fit in My rooms in there that I will decorate them with) and My rooms will be different holiday series (Like a Jingle series room a Spooky series room well you get the idea).
fjmnkl: Yeah, I noticed that too. City Folk is still a very good game, but Nintendo really is getting lazy. You'd think they could at least come up with a new joke about Franklin rather than copying Tortimer's letter verbatim from GameCube.
You know its a wonder how many Knives and Forks were kept at that wishing well when only a few villagers showed up there, its surprising they didn't run out of them from all the times you keep taking them away. Some things just make no sense but I like it that way it makes it all the more funnier.
reala9865: I'm not sure when I started or stopped using it, but that sounds about right. Since I've been making AC videos, I try to change it every few months just to try something different.
Whoa they changed some furniture in this theme since the Gamecube version to the Wii version. The table takes two spaces in GCN while in Wii it takes 4 spaces. The mirror takes 1 space here, but two in Wii. I think that is all. I just got done with my harvest room in City Folk.
Bury a regular shovel in the daily glowing spot. A golden sapling will appear. If that sapling fully matures into a (golden) tree, you can shake the tree to get a golden shovel. If the sapling dies, you'll need to try again though...it can take several tries.
stanki0: On Snow Day, Tortimer will give you a snowman to put in your house, and that's about it. It didn't even snow in my town. It's not much of a festival.
Since I work 3rd shift, I think I cheated (time traveled) when I got home from work and completed Jingle sitting there for hours going thru. :) Thanks for putting these up sir!
Hopefully they bring Franklin back for the Wii version! And hopefully they tweak people to tell you hints to where he is all the time. This year I was banging my head against the wall trying to get people to tell me the column or row he was in. :)
Came here because of how people were saying villagers back then actually wanted to eat Franklin during Turkey Day
Holy shit this is hilarious and a little dark lmao
Kinda weird how they want to eat another animal...
Well in this sense it is, I guess. Then again, we can catch frogs and have frog villagers sooo.
Lol I have Diva and she's a frog
5:15 ursala has a seizure in the background-
Suffers from epilepsy
Wow this was way different compared to what we have now.
13 years old and people are still looking up this and finding this video. Noice! This game was the best of my teens. Also you sneaking off to find him with the utensils is like some kind of shady deal. lol 😂
this video is from 2007!! before accf, and of course acnl and acnh. cool that you were here from the start
Man, I forgot how even Tortimer talked some light smack! Geeeeeezzz 😅
So much I have missed in this game when I was younger. I mean I knew about all the events but never knew about some of the stuff you could actually do during a event. .
Listen! We need knives and forks at the table...so don't even try taking them.
*yoink*
:D

13 years ago, and the quality was still good
@mobycocanut: In theory, that's where Franklin would go if he was caught, so he could be the main dish. But of course that never really happens.
Thank goodness Franklin doesn't have his usual Cranky voice like in later games, because if he did he would sound like a total monster like all the other Cranky villagers in this game.

Happy Thanksgiving 2020!!!
why are there four of us here watching the exact same video 💀💀
@@residentsilly lmao who knows
chadheck96: Yes, he's a character in my game. While you'll get different animals camping out, the igloos are built by animals that already live in your town.
at 5:19 is Ursala okay?
Julian Del Campo no
She’s freaking out she sees Franklin

5:18 Ursala, are you okay?
Ah sweet nostalgia
I have played this game for almost 20 years and I had no idea there was a turkey!!!!
i love your videos jvgsjeff! i watch them over and over again!

I love the harvest set so much.
5:14 LOL 😆
@jensmon3: You get the golden axe by maintaining perfect town status for two weeks. You get the golden net after catching every type of insect.
Franklin's text is recycled for Animal Crossing City Folk.
0mariofreak0: It's part of the hat. Animals will occasionally ask you why you're wearing "that silly hat."
That's actually so creepy oh god poor Franklin
Thenumber1yoshi: They're very similar, there's not much of a difference. But if I had to choose, I'd probably go with the City Folk furniture.
Yes, I've finished working for Nook. My first AC:CF video will be up very soon.
BAM94productions: Sign boards can be bought at Nookington's. Once you've put one up, just stand in front of it and press A to select a pattern to display.
Yes, I have Baabara in my town.
BonTonSwan: It's the 4th Thursday of November, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The turkey will often be hiding, so look closely for him behind trees and houses.
A7XBetch: The harvest furniture (and the other holiday series) can't be re-ordered from Nook. So if you want to keep it, you'll need to store it somewhere...in your basement, attached to letters at the post office, or in the island house (if you have a GBA + link cable).

Man, I hope City Folk has a Harvest Festival. Along with Franklin. I kinda wish that they had the well in City Folk where they could have the festival. It looks like a lot of fun...
animalcrossingfan333: Thanks for watching. I'm glad you like them. :)
Franklin did not appear in the original Animal Forest, so how did they celebrate Thanksgiving?
The original Animal Forest was only released in Japan, and Thanksgiving is an American holiday, so it didn't have that event.
@@jvgsjeff Toy day was also not in the original animal forest even though japan also celebrates christmas, but it's usually a date night for them
strahd9: I agree completely, although trying to find Jack at Halloween is even worse. Believe it or not, I've never fully done the Christmas one with Jingle (at least not more than one or two items worth). Maybe I'll give it a go this year.

i have sarias song as my town tune too!
at least some of the important ones like Christmas Halloween and a new one that represents Easter (Bunny Day)
MoltenFists0008: Yes, it's Saria's Song from Ocarina of Time.
Lol,I dunno why but I thought of the word canibalism watching this!Do you think Thanksgiving would be put in AC:FC?
wow animals run in the gamecube version i wish they ran in the wii one lol
Got your wish, they readded it in New Leaf
fjmnkl: Yeah, I noticed that too. City Folk is still a very good game, but Nintendo really is getting lazy. You'd think they could at least come up with a new joke about Franklin rather than copying Tortimer's letter verbatim from GameCube.

i hope they do the holidays and furniture in city folk. it will be fun to deck out my house for xmas, thanksgiving etc...
I hope that Thanksgiving is like this in City Folk.
reala9865: I'm not sure when I started or stopped using it, but that sounds about right. Since I've been making AC videos, I try to change it every few months just to try something different.
Its too bad in ANIMAL CROSSING: CITY FOLK that you can't equip the FORK & KNIFE... *Whirr*
I've already had snow a couple times this month, so it can snow in November.

I use a TV tuner for my PC.
Mrmonk9: Yeah, they have. But the City Folk one doesn't seem as festive without everyone sitting at the tables and laughing.
Thenumber1yoshi: I don't know. I usually get my town tunes from GameFAQs, but they don't have the song you're looking for.
@ACnintendocrossing: Because I don't have Wild World for one thing. :P I'll make videos for the home console games, but not the portables.

reala9865: I think I might have had Sally for a short while, but it was a long time ago.
americanroulette: Yeah, I didn't put the finishing touches on it until today.
No. The GameCube version doesn't have WiFi, and the Wii version only lets you play with other people who have the Wii version.
xIceDragonFirex: Yes, it's in City Folk too.
evil856: No, this is the GameCube version. Check out the video response to see the Wii version.
manny2189: The DS suitcase is different from WiFi though. He was asking if Wii players could connect to DS players in WiFi, and that can't be done.
Or where I can find a good L&L town tune that actualkly sounds like the song.
This was made the day before i was born!
*gasps* A child!

When all the animals can talk, it's just messed up when they try to eat eachother!
What happens if you DON'T give the knives and forks to Franklin?
I like the City Folk and New Leaf versions better, but I like the instruments in this one.
Megamartin45: Yep. Every time you swipe a fork and knife, he'll give you a piece of harvest furniture in exchange.
Thenumber1yoshi: Yes, I got City Folk today. Look for my first AC:CF video soon.
Woah, after looking at this and the new one, they have updated the graphic's. I couldn't tell until after watching this video.
I have the whole harvest furniture series.
tobirox69: The 4th Thursday of November. The date changes each year, so check a calendar if you need to.

I don't get it, I set my time to Nov. 27, Thursday, 2008, Copper said NOTHING about the festival, and no one's at the Wishing Well.
2007? The year after I was born! Lol. I’d give anything to go back in time.
