I can't tell you how bad I wish they would release it on switch or do like a GameCube greatest hits with like animal crossing Melee and Mario kart Double dash that would make a fortune
When I saw ur 2019 video on this game it made me go buy the game again and start playing!! Best animal crossing ever man!! I was in high-school I remember when my friend Jake introduced me to this game and I jus remember thinkin it was so cool and us playing during the winter time with the snow, Xmas lights, and igloos!! Man can't believe it's been over 20 years already!!😭😭
I enjoy seeing people still carrying the tradition of playing the original. Once it reaches 2032 (if I remember correctly, that's when it ends), will you restart to 2001? I love your videos ❤. Keeping it old-school. The commentary gets me every time 😂
It's after 2030 that it messes up. At that time, I'll change the year back to 2003, which lines up with 2031 with the same days of the week and continue playing as normal. I'm glad you enjoy the videos! 😊
I'm 4 minutes in, and I'm so glad to watch a 30 minutes gameplay video of the original Animal Crossing. I actually never played it, since I never had a gamecube, but hoo boy! Do I want this game to come to Switch in some form. Be it in NSO or a Remastered Version (Like they did with Metroid Prime) with online capabilities.
I have all of the tradable items, but there are some items that aren't available through normal gameplay. They require an e-Reader, a cheat device (the Zelda NES game, for example), or a bunch of towns (11 of the 12 train station models, for example). I also think I need a couple of Gracie's shirts still.
I don't plan on obtaining the "impossible" items. While I wouldn't mind unlocking The Legend of Zelda, I don't think I'll ever buy the cheat device just for that. If I want to play it, I can use my NES Classic.
Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have a way to capture video from my 3DS, so I won't be posting New Leaf videos other than my yearly slideshows of screenshots. I do post New Leaf blog entries twice a month though, at www.jvgs.net/newleafblog/.
No, mainly because of the catalogs. Many of the games have items you can't get through normal gameplay without time traveling, using cheat devices, or making a ton of extra towns (like the train station models, which have 12 variations but you only get one per town). Not to mention getting all of the villager pics in later games would take decades through normal gameplay. So I'm not concerned with 100%-ing everything, but I have completed the main goals, like catching all fish/bugs, completing the museum, achieving perfect town status, getting all the golden tools, etc.
Gotta love GameCube Animal Crossing. Can’t believe it’s been 22 years since it released. 😅I feel old

Olivia: So you're saying maroon nail polish just makes me look dumb, then?
But her ears, paws and tail are maroon!

Keeping the village alive!
How did I manage to guess Tutu was gonna be Pate’s replacement well before she popped up? lol, great video. Love the GCN game.

DO YOU INTEND TO INVITE GOLDIE TO YOUR NEW HORIZONS ISLAND!?!?!
Haha no, I just scanned her in for the video. I do like Goldie a lot though, so I certainly wouldn't mind having her in the future!
I like the starry night shirt and I also want that UFO
Love this! I love GameCube Animal Crossing. :)
I'm waiting and watching this until this blows up 🎉 man I wish I had a GameCube 😢
Awesome gameplay session btw
Your town tune sounds so familiar... it kind of sounds like that one coldplay song i think
Yeah, it is a Coldplay song. Clocks.
0:53 is it tom nook that writes this or another character i've always wondered
Lets hope you dont encounter the dreaded *BITFLIP*
These are the best ❤
Do villagers give better gifts if good friends? What are the incentives of being good friends with villagers in the gc version?
Always wondered, since you've played this game for two decades now, how complete is your catalog?

@@jvgsjeffdo you ever plan on obtaining the "impossible" items or would you rather just keep the way you play "safe"?

Good sir I wish we could play soccer together in game. We were robbed on the Switch.
awesome video! if you can, could you upload some more new leaf content?

Have you 100% completed every AC game?
