I think ink lemonade is more about consuming body fluids of a person and less about traumatizing squidward
yeah
They’re fish tho they eat each others poop 💀
"person"? Did you use your brain when you made this comment?
@@Ozzy622wdym
Clickbait all videos are banned and that lemonade episode isn't banned
I feel like the panty raid episode has a good moral though
Don’t disrespect women in a way you wouldn’t do to your mom
Not to mention Mr. Krabs got punished at the end for it so its not like they're glorifying or promoting the deed.
They could’ve gotten that message across without depicting sexual harassment, though. I don’t want to imagine a victim of sexual abuse (child or otherwise) turning on an all ages show they trust and seeing an otherwise harmless character doing that. This was like trying to send a message about mental health awareness by having them discover Squidward’s dead body with poison and a note- it’s an important message, but not an age-appropriate manner to get it across.
@@legometaworld2728red mist
@@datdankdj8264 How is that relevant?
Or don’t disrespect women at all, but yes.
notice how half of these episodes have a real life human problems?
Frrr✨
no shit?😭
Exactly, parents don't want kids to know about this until way later into their life (even though it should be the opposite). Also modern Spongebob could only dream of having anything remotely related to this stuff fr
*have real life problems
🤧🤧!!! JUST seeing that as this comment like rolls/flips (I find it distracting sometimes lol🙈) and YEAH!
Coincidence?!?! I think NOT!
I think where the problem people have with the black ink episode, is that, they’re tormenting and scaring squidward, getting his ink from it, then profiting off of it behind squidwards back without him knowing or even so consenting to it. And then also selling it to the customers without the customers knowing where it came from.
My parents didn't like the episode bc it reminded my mom about SA and things like that. Forcing someone to let you do things to there body that they are clearly uncomfortable with and then making profit off it without the person's consent. My mom being an SA survivor that's all it reminded her about the first time she saw it was was shook it was that obvious but it could just be certain trauma causes certain things to look different ways quicker but idk 🤷 and watching it now it looks the same way. But yet again they end up fixing the problem and apologizing at the end to and realized what they were doing wrong. Idk there's a lot of controversy on that one episode alone so
It's just overall disturbing.
You could make some dark parallels to that if you wanted to. 😳
@@TheSlipperyNUwUdle"everyone likes sausage but nobody likes how it's made"
Ngl, I have seen that episode (its not banned in my country) and I'm not really scared (I'm not trying to be mean nor bully y'all)
Honestly, squirrel jokes discusses casual racism phenomenally. And just racism in general way better than a lot of other kids cartoons. The allegory is clear and consice.
I could probably write an entire essay on how this episode is meant to be a commentary on casual racism but I'll just leave it as, the episode is 100% beyond shadow of doubt, about racism.
This might be controversial, but i think soulless corporations feeding people poison isnt a good thing
It’s not a good thing, which is why children should be taught that corporations usually don’t have the best intentions, especially when it comes to food and cutting costs
Yea but you have to understand that there was a point where the world went thru a national food shortage. If it wasn't for processed food we wouldn't be able to sustain the amount of people we have. Also it's just an option, you are free to get all organic food if you please. Personally in think Soon we will all be evolved to processed food lol @@larryrump6173

lets unban the episode
@@Monkaehbutgameromg
Lol why? It's not even that interesting
@@hotaruishere2133 its still an episode
hell yea
Ew
11:50 the episode was actually censored due to a scene where squidward was set on fire and was cut due to being too recreatable.
Ink Lemonade, for me, is worse because it's psychological torment. It isn't hurting squidward, it's actually torturing him until he's trembling in fear. That's the kind of torture that never heals.
The worst part is that Spongebob and Patrick dont face any punishment, and they feed him spider egg cookies
I physically cant understand people not agreeing with this, its not funny humor, its just torture for torture
i think the "you like krabby patties dont ya squidward" one was because there used to be a scene in the episode where when squidward sneaks into the krusty krab, mr. krabs had booby trapped it by dumping a bucket of gasoline on squidward and then a lit match drops on him n he blows up. this scene was removed because it was little too specific, and i think it was right around 9/11 times and they were taking out any kinda buildings exploding type stuff from media. this one is often sited as a mandela effect lol but no it really happened they just removed the scene.
I thought Just One Bite was banned because of the gas scene.
It was. This dudes wrong
@@longsalad5334 No, he's not. The gas scene was banned. Not the episode. They replaced it.
@@GoldPikmin well i stand corrected then
@@longsalad5334 You know what, I respect owning up to it. If I were to say that to like, anyone else, they'd probably get all butthurt and swear they're right and I'm wrong. So yeah, respect.
@@GoldPikmin respect to you too sir
Just One Bite isn't banned because of the subject matter. It's banned because of the one scene where Squidward gets doused with gasoline and set on fire twice.
I made an audible "What?!" for almost every episode in the first seven minutes of this video-so many of these are episodes I remember fondly that portray the problems as a bad thing. Like, what the heck is objectionable about SpongeBob's Last Stand? Were highway megacorporations offended by it?
Man you forgot Squidwards Suicide
That’s not a episode 2005 episode is real
@Youcansaythatagain-h2hit’s a creepy pasta
It’s not even real
Are you talking about the red fog episode that never aired
that was a scene not an episode.
One thing I do have to say is SpongeBob was one of those series that none of us really grasped, we watched it because it was our favorite thing to watch. So controversiality has nothing to do with it we felt the show for as it was and we ultimately learned from it because it’s how most of us acted. I can say I didn’t come from a stable home. This show with it in my life I honestly don’t know if I would ultimately be a good kid back then. Everything happens for a reason and we loved this show.
Hope everyone a good time 🙏🏼
11:22 Nah, it got banned bc of the deleted scene with the bucket of "water" and matchstick joke. They thought it was too violent/imitateable.
I thought it was banned because the US was on edge after 9/11, and they banned a lot of stuff relating to explosions and stuff
@@IM_BILL_CIPHER_TRUST_ME_BRO yep also that
I remember seeing Ink Lemonade thinking how wrong and gross it was
I didn't have a problem really because ink is an actual delicacy in real life
Same the whole ink out of the nose thing made me skip that episode everytime it came on
I imagine that the episode where Patrick and SpongeBob are a “couple” was only controversial because it came out in the early 2000s-early 2010s when it still wasn’t “normal” to be gay in a lot of states. Gay marriage was only made completely legal in all states in 2015, so you can imagine that a lot of parents in most likely the south were pretty pissed seeing their kids watch two guys raise a kid
Being gay isn't normal
Man, by the time he said "squirrel jokes" I was just sitting there like he already named off my top 10 episodes. I don't know if I even need to finish the video. I feel like I already know
I took the Sandy playing stupid as more sexism than racism. Like when he says “but clap slow, remember she’s a squirrel!” Squirrel rhymes with girl which probably made me think that, but I guess SpongeBob also had many female audience members who also laughed and made fun of Sandy.
11:42 this episode was actually banned because of the GAS BUCKETS. Yes, the “security system” was controversial…
It’s crazy I just saw it was a deleted scene it was so bizarre to watch it
Mid life crustacean is the best episode ever to be released on SpongeBob
Top 10 easily
I didn't even know it was banned. I could've sworn I saw it on air when i was younger.
@@ShortSquid_027it isnt banned per say, but they removed it from streaming
1:03 the fact Patrick says that isn’t for kids it makes sense why the episode got banned
I remember watching Rock A Bye Bivalve as a kid and i never thought any of it, just that it was funny. Even my eight year old brain could tell that Spongebob and Patrick were just portraying a mother and father
Mid-Life Crustacean taught me the word "debauchery"
the controversy on the squidward krabby patty episode was the buckets of gas that were edited out after 911
I feel like it's weird to focus on "psychological torture" for the Ink one. The episode feels bad and uncomfortable because they're repeatedly forcing him to "ink." Not a stretch for some suburban mom to feel like it's a little perverted, even if that definitely wasn't the writers' intention.
I remember watching every one of these episodes when they aired when i was a kid, didn't think any of them should've been "banned"
Where are they banned? Seen them all in tv 😅
The just one more bite episode has cut scenes too, where squidwards is on fire. Apperently the krabby patty alarms system is a bucket of gasoline (squidward thinks it’s just water) but then a match falls and it explodes, this happens again when he goes into the kitchen. Since this came out around the time of 9/11 they thought that those scene could trigger some kids or something
Crabby on Mondays looks like Buffalo wild wings
Crabby O'Mondays
I'm pretty sure it's a spoof for TGI Friday's
what about Are You Happy Now?, I remember it being super dark as a kid
He's already talked about it in it's own video
watched every single one in my childhood except quarantine i think
One course meal was a little touchy personally. I have depression, and ive tried to take my life before. So i really didn't see it coming when plankton layed down on the road, then when SpongeBob asked him what he was doing. He full on admitted that he was just trying to end it all, and SpongeBob was just. Ok with it!
1:35 i vividly remember watching Rock A Bye Bivalve
15:02 it;s only a 15 minute video, no where near forever long haha. Loved it!
The fact that I remember all of these episodes perfectly 😭
I agree with the splinter one because when I was a bit younger, that one episode disturbed me so much.i can feel bro’s pain on 9:23
Fun fact they were actually cursing in the studio making the sailors mouth episode
Whoah. Hearing stickerbush symphony after all these years gave me whiplash. Nostalgic asf
tbh a longer video would have been dope lol with timestamps too
One of the very very few episodes of this show I have seen was that joking about Squirrels one.
Had no idea it eventually got banned, that is so dumb.
Also the fake swearing ep? So many of these banned episodes are just adults becoming stupid enough to ban them
I'm surprised there's an episode about quarantine on this list, but Fungus Among Us avoided getting the hammer.
I never knew these episodes were banned, I distinctly remember watching them in germany.
Who even bans them
Edit: ah its just controversy except for one
I’m only just realising most SpongeBob memes come from these episodes
The mother and father episode never got band in the UK. Not from 2010-2015ish anyway; (the years I actively watched the show). I remember it being aired on Nickelodeon.
I'm glad I've seen ALL of these no lie ... no wonder why I can't find them at all if its not clips 😂 thumb scene lives rent free in my mind
The [Somewhat Actual] Reason why they Potentially Banned the Mid-Life Crustacean Episode because the Panty Raid was an Actual thing that Actually happened in Colleges and Universities in the USA in the 1960s, since Mr Krabs that is Old it seemlessly Fitting that in this Time Period he would've Potentially do this in that time.
[In the 1960s he would have Potentially been in this 20s, Which it is Fitting. or at Least Hypothetically Speaking]
Wait, where is randomland? They literally had to change the episode because of the red mist refrence
The panties raid episode made me so, so uncomfortable. I kept thinking there was going to be a gag of not actually getting panties. Then.. they did. I kind of agree about the ban, but I don't think it actually should have been.
The episode where they raise a clam together made me upset because of how overstimulating it was, and how awful Patrick was. The ban was purely homophobic, and bullshit.
SpongeBob was way out of character in the snail race episode. It scared the shit out of me too. I don't think it should have been banned.
Wow! I had blocked out the splinter episode. How dare you remind me of it. /joking
I'll never forgive Nickelodeon for banning Midlife Crustacean. That was one of my favorite episodes...
I’ve watched all of these aside from the panty raid, ink lemonade, And quarantine crab. And I hardly watched SpongeBob.
The Gary episode traumatized me when I was a kid and now I’m vegan, a little too effective
Random fact:most of these episodes weren't banned in some parts of canada
The main problem with "One course meal" for me was the ending.
I remember an episode where squidward gets his toenail ripped off and it looks so gross 😂
Krabby O’Mondays isn’t really taking shots at big business as a whole, as much as it is calling out fast food restaurants unhealthy food, which was a hot button topic at the time. Nice to know people never knew nuance! 😤
Why was that a controversial topic?
@@oddtomato1049 people became aware around that time about how fast food was made an just how unhealthy it was for you
@@ntcnetwork9934 I alwlays overestimate tge masses.
15:07 the projected whales always looked so terrifying to me, like something out of place.
what about when they killed the health inspector😭😭😭
i think the clam Fam episode is a beautiful and silly depiction of struggling families/Marriages that ends in the kid flourishing and the parents reuniting
My favorite controversial episode is Sailor Mouth 🐬
I have seen mid-life crustacean, I vividly remember being so confused as a kid
"They never once show interest in women."
😏
There is one reason I found why SpongeBobs Last Stand was controversial. The scene were SpongeBob is standing in front of the bulldozer, On the wiki it is a reference to the Tank man massacre in china. So that’s a reason I found why this episode was either banned or controversial.
Mid life crustacean being “infamous” and later banned for the panty raid scene is something so stupid, it could only have happened in the 2020’s.
That Clam Flu episode has got to be a disturbing episode IMO. IDK why they got away with making this.
the diddy kong racing theme in the background at one point.. oh the nostalgia T_T
For spongebob's Last stand. That episode was banned because of the hippie part of the episode IIRC. A lot of these episodes being "Banned" are very weird, considering there are tons of worse episodes that are not
Feels like a crime that Wormy still isn't banned.
It's LONG, HAIRY, AND PIIINK 😱😨
@@mavericksantana4033so is patricks belly button
We did it, Patrick! We saved the city!
None of these should be banned they're all fine its ridiculous how pathetic people are now
Facts it’s absolutely pathetic
Can't believe these are banned. Literally some of the most memorable episodes
I think you can still watch Mid Life crustacean on the older spongebob dvd if in correct?
All these used to play on nick into like 2022
If you search it up on RUclips then u can watch it
I.. I watched all these episodes?
Me to
I think the difference between showing spongebob in his tighty whities, or even showing a comically shiny butt is that the intention behind such an image, an intentional panty raid is perverse and out of character, not that its executed this way, but from a black and white standpoint it makes a whole lot more sense.
super Mario wii music in the background is goated.
I think Midlife Crustacean was banned because parents had issue with the idea of a panty raid being broadcast as a part of kids show in general, even if the episode had a good moral, even just teaching children about the concept of a panty raid is kinda iffy as a whole
bestie its kinda obvious that the underwear episode is banned because its a from of sexual harassment irl
Smash Bro music in the back is fitting.
Fr
Skylanders music in the intro hit me hard
I think one course meal is much more controversial displaying su1¢1de, yes the bullying but personally I think it goes much deeper than just that
I heard some Diddy Kong Racing in there.
Just One Bite isn't controversial because of the addiction plot. It's controversial because in the first airing, there was a scene where Squidward snuck into the Krusty Krab and saw that their security system was a bucket of water perched on the door, which he kicks over. He then smells the water and realizes it's gas before a robotic hand drops a match on the floor.
It was removed in later airings.
The thing is with Ink lemonade. Yes , squidward has been tortured in In the earlier seasons, but usually it's because he deserves it. Not just mess with him. And episodes like For example, boating bodies or something usually. It's that main character's trying to torture squid word. And that's what makes it so frustrating.
I watched all these before they was banned
The first one shouldn't have been banned
10:20 iconic
Selling out was and is/always will be one of my all time favourite episodes, also never was banned in the UK, thankfully.
the fact that ive seen all of these episodes other then the ink one makes me feel so old 😭
update haven’t seen the covid episode either
I grew up with this show, so I might have seen some of these, and I want to share what impact these banned episodes had on me.
Mid-Life Crustacean: This episode made me consider what it's like to grow old and drift away from your younger self. While recapturing your youth can be rewarding, there is a reason we all grew up. So, you should temper your cynical adult views with the views of the optimistic child you used to be, and do your best to accept the passage of time and learn to age gracefully. This was definitely an episode aimed at the adults, but it's a lesson I carried into adulthood.
Rock A Bye Bivalve: This episode is a little dated now, but it was an eye opening exploration into the parent dynamic, where it can go wrong, and why it's worth it in the end. I think this was meant to accompany the lessons related to the housekeeping lessons that students learn in middle school where they have to take care of a doll or balloon.
The Great Snail Race: This episode is about the perils of pushing yourself or others too hard to achieve a goal. I think the lesson is pretty sweet, and it's one that I think more people should learn.
Squirrel Jokes: This is about the dangers of pleasing a crowd at the expense of someone else, and the effects of stereotyping. The lesson being that if you're going to crack jokes, you have to be even handed about it, or else you'll inevitably end up picking on the smallest minority in the room without realizing it.
Selling Out: Big companies bad, and money won't make you happy. This is more of a lesson for small business owners, and there's no reason for this to be controversial.
Spongebob's last stand: This isn't one I'm familiar with, but it seems pretty innocent compared to a lot of the other new episodes. Not sure where the controversy is, since it's a pretty accurate portrayal of what activists have been facing for years. Nobody is gonna care about the environment until it effects them. (though in recent years, even this was proven to be not enough to get people to change their stance on climate)
Ink Lemonade: wh- what is this? They just tortured squidward for a whole episode? I think the overarching lesson for squidward torture episodes is that even though he's doing exactly what Spongebob and Patrick are doing, because he usually has some kind of selfish motivation or is overthinking it, he fails where Patrick and Spongebob succeeded. This episode almost completely ignores this, and just makes Patrick into a dumber version of Squidward with seemingly no consequences for his own actions.
Sailor Mouth: This episode gave me more guidance as a kid about swearing than any of the adults around me ever could. It tells you exactly why it's bad, why they're used, and why they are being punished for it. It also lays on the implication that once you learn them, you can't unlearn them. That's why Mr. Krabs swears so much when he stubs his toe, he was a sailor himself, so he knows all of them, and they all came tumbling out when he lost his composure.
The Splinter: This one made me stop watching all together. I think the intended lesson is that when you are injured, you should ask for help immediately instead of ignoring it. It's just that the consequences are so grotesque that the lesson gets lost under all the pus.
Just One Bite: This one appears to be about peer pressure and addiction, specifically to fast food, since drugs aren't appropriate nor does it fit their humor. Squidward is punished because he is once again being selfish to the point of self destruction. He didn't want to give Songebob the satisfaction of being right, so he hid his addiction, which then grew completely out of control. The circumstances around this episode make the lesson much more broad than simple addiction, it's also about being honest with yourself and others, or else bad things can happen. As for the peer pressure angle, this doesn't always have to be a bad thing nor is it always about drugs. Spongebob just wanted to help Squidward experience a new thing, but then discovers what is probably the reason why he was avoiding them in the first place. Spongebob also learns his lesson in this episode in that he realizes afterwards that he was too pushy, but the damage is done.
Kwarantined Krab: Another I am unfamiliar with. Not sure what the lesson was supposed to be, other than don't be that guy who hides their illness, or you can get everyone around you sick.
One Coarse Meal: I'm familiar with this one, I watched it many times as a kid, and I still don't know for sure what the lesson was.
I am genuinely disturbed by the episodes where plankton, squidward, and gary are mentally tortured. A new pal for gary is the most disliked, and lowest rated episode in the ENTIRE series
i swear the half of the banned episodes are still up on bulgarian Nickelodeon
I hate that spongebob nowadays is just disgusting shit all the time
5:50 amazing and very true episode btw
When I was younger I watched SpongeBob. I didn’t know what any dirty joke meant, didn’t affect me in any way because I didn’t understand. Was all just funny to me. Now that I’m older and rewatch it, it is hilarious and is fine for kids. Kids don’t understand anything unless you teach them it.
The episode with the faceless, corrupt corporation buying the Krusty Krab isn't anti-corporation, it's anti-faceless-corporation. There's a difference. The episode is a warning against what happens with drabness and facelessness takes over.
I swear to God if I go to Prime Video right now, I bet I see four episodes. That are not banned
As a kid, the Krabby O’Mondays episode was one of my faves because of the message… always wondered as a kid why I never ever saw this re run
“Didn’t want to make the video forever long” the video is only 15 minutes!! 😭😭
Omg I remember all of these! I wish the butterfly one was banned growing up 😂
None of these were banned in Canada, I remember every single one of these.
