I love that confused look Ray and Eagon give each other when Peter asks what do they do after finding the ghost. These two were so caught up in just finding proof of the existence of ghosts that neither one of them had a plan on what to actually do if they found one. 😅
@@seanc5226 I was talking about where Zuul comes out of the kitchen and puts her claws inside of Dana's chair and drags her into the kitchen to possess her.
I think Afterlife is the second best one, because it had the wry humor and didn’t try to copy any of the others. GB2 was too sanitized and studio-meddled while Frozen Empire seemed like an episode from a streaming show.
When I saw this movie for the first time I was very young so didn’t really understand what was going on my grandma and grandpa said this movie was a classic. This scene scared the heck out of me
The first shot at 1:49 scared the crap out of me as a child, even more so than the jump scare. My mum used to work in a video shop (remember those…) in the 80’s on the weekend and occasionally I would have to go with here if my dad was working. Used to sit behind the counter watching the latest home movies and that was when I saw ghostbusters for the first time 👍 I remember it being damn cool to have the ghostbusters sweater too
Fun fact... that demonic figure the Library Ghost changed into? It would show up exactly 1 year later. Courtesy of another gem from Columbia Pictures. Here's a clue.... SOOOOOOOOOOO! That's right, from 1985, Fright Night. The animatronic figure was reused as the bat that Chris Sarandon would transform into during the final battle at his house...❤
Yes, I confess as a kid, this movie scared me, but after watching this movie over and over again. I began to love this movie, and I loved the soundtrack so much, I played it over and over again.
Watching this at 7 years old, I got so scared by this scene that I developed a literal trauma response that forced my mind to wipe this scene from my memory. I couldn't look at the library ghost for literal decades until I finally started to desensitize myself to its image. In other words, good job, puppet makers!
"Listen! You smell something??" - one of my favorite out of context lines ever. Also, I used to skip this scene as a little kid because it freaked me out so damn much. We had a library in my neighborhood that was very much like this one in its spooky vibe and I used to be scared of encountering something like this there.
It’s funny how they look as they start to approach the ghost with that music playing but even funnier how they look when they run away scared. Ray and Egon are backing away fast terrified while Peter’s running as if he’s saying, “Come on! Come on! Let’s get out of here!”
I’ve came back to this clip multiple times I love ghostbusters this ghost is nightmare fuel I am also going to make a Star Wars horror movie fan trailer I think this ghost is pretty close in appearance to the in universe entity I have in mind
Absolutely terrifying to a kid. The first jump scare of any movie I can remember.
So so so true my friend. Daaaammnn, the memories..
@@larssullivanfan2496 And this movie wasn't even a kids film. And that's why I liked it
Bro same
It was the sssh
Me too lol

😅
The chemistry between the three of them is off the charts.
This scene always scared the bejesus out of me. Who guessed that early 80's special effects can still hold up today?!
Yeah, I remember seeing this as a kid at my babysitter's house and all of us running across the room when she roared.
The clown scene in poltergeist scarred me for life.

Same bro, when I was 6 this scene scared me shitless, still the scariest ghost appearance I’ve ever seen
I love the fact that their reactions are genuine lol.
“GET HER!”
Probably one Dan Akroyd’s most famous lines in his whole acting career and I’d say his most famous line in the movie!
The look on Venkman's face when the Library Ghost tells him to Shhhh 🤣 gets me every time
He just looked insulted 😂
Exactly! Venkman did not take kindly to being shushed by a ghost lol
I can't believe I NEVER noticed the absolutely hilarious backward trot that Egon is doing until today.
3:10 Egon’s face and the way he runs away backwards always kills me 😂
As a kid back then this scene scared me bad😂
Did you cry or have nightmares?
@@diegofavaratozfilms962 just nightmares
Holy crap I was so scared of this scene when I was a child 😂
Not me, but the scene where Dana gets possessed scared me the most when I was little.
@@fearfulclan2007 it was her voice changing, it was still .funny

The dynamic of Bill Murray as an ironic parental figure at 2:30 really works.
Such a classic horror-comedy scene, I liked it.
This scence scared the crap out of me as a kid 😂
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters. My childhood memories are filled with awesome movies
I’m almost 31. But I feel like I was born in the wrong generation because of these franchises
RIP Harold Ramis
RIP Ivan Reitman
Nothing beats the original Ghostbusters, not even Afterlife
I like Afterlife but the Original is unbeatable
Afterlife sort of made up for the terrible 2016 version
lol afterlife is a toy for children with zero energy, lacks pretty much anything that made this movie great
I think GB 1,2 and Afterlife are on par. I personally can’t choose
I think Afterlife is the second best one, because it had the wry humor and didn’t try to copy any of the others. GB2 was too sanitized and studio-meddled while Frozen Empire seemed like an episode from a streaming show.
Omg the laughter this movie brought!!!
3:10 Me And The Bois When A Bee Flies Into The Room

1:10 Fun fact this book case fell down completely by accident and wasn't meant to however it fit so well with the scene that they kept it 😮
PKE Meter is such a cool device. Doesn't get as much love as the Proton Pack, but is just as important in busting ghosts
If not more important. How are you gonna use the Proton Packs on the ghosts if you can't find said ghosts?
Even as a kid, this made me laugh so hard. The roar the librarian makes is so priceless.😂

Pure 80s nostalgia 👌

Peter’s reaction running away 😂😂

Bill pulled dan's ear when he wasnt listening. He was so distracted in the scene.
"Listen! Do you smell something?" Does Ray have synesthesia?

They should’ve came back (No uniforms) with proton packs and caught this ghost. It could’ve been the first scene they used the proton packs in.
That would have been something of payback
