Have been using for 2 months now and I must say it is the best phone I've ever owned. The compact form factor, great screen, great camera and overall beautiful looking phone. The only downside is the battery size and the charging speed. Anyways it lasts a day for me. So no problem for me. However, if they increase the battery size in next series then it would be no brainer for anyone not to buy this phone. Not planning to switch back to those massive bricks anytime soon. Lifelong flip user baby.
I was looking into buying anew brick for videos when I'm laying down and on the treadmill. I decided to buy a cheap 10" tablet for under $100 instead. Now, I don't need a brick and will be getting this phone. Luckily though I don't live off my phone, so the battery issue shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Have had mine for about 5 months now and I HATE IT! It shuts off and the screen goes black multiple time and many time when I input my password it opens to the camera. It is black screen on me right now and will not come on through multiple attempts and procedures outlined on RUclips. As soon as I can get it going again I will be purchasing something else! I HATE THIS PHONE!!!
November 1 security update fixed one of my biggest pet peeves with it. It doesn't throttle as much any more! I played GameCube ROMs in hot weather and it no longer lags. Love it!
If they improve the battery capacity and charging speeds, this series is my next choice. Love the convenience and having a compact device in my pocket. Great video as always Linus.
Thats my hold on getting this phone...battery life...must be an all day for me..so sticking with s21 ultra till the flip 4 comes out hopefully with better battery life
Good video Linus, keep on going man! Regarding the phone, I have been lately so much interested in this phone's bigger brother, the Galaxy Fold. However, two factors hinder me from getting it, mainly the price and the company itself. I had a mediocre experience with Samsung phones unfortunately and can't wait for companies such as Xiaomi to make cheaper alternatives that have less constraints within their Android operating system.
Hey, thanks for watching! I also have the Fold 3 - it's an awesome phone. However, it is not always convenient to carry due to its thickness and weight
SamSprung makes the cover display more useful. But iPhone fans will never get how Android works. They're in love with iOS that still is restrictive for the last 14.5 years.
You don't use dark mode (judging from the settings screen)? Dark mode can improve battery life a bit, especially with OLED. I open the Flip by pushing in my thumb and do the rest by pushing the top to my chest.
Its been minths since its release and still loving the phone its very convenient bec of the folding mechanism that makes in to most of my small pockets fit perfectly
Hi I'm considering of getting it after visiting Samsung & hands on it today. But I'm thinking if it's good to use in the long run (minimal used for 3 years)? May I know how long have you used it?
After using this for a few months I'm more unimpressed and less likely yo ever use a foldable again. I went back to my s21 ultra and holy smokes is so much better.
@@Koderfacts the battery life is significantly better. It looks and feels better. The camera is better. Everything. I want to like foldables but they are not it. At least not yet. Maybe in 2 or 3 years.
@@Krato3 cheers, it's gotta fulfill its needs for the user at the end of the day, it's a pity, as it's such a nice phone. I'm in the same boat, can't see myself purchasing it, thanks
@@Krato3 Open, the screen size on the flip is almost the same as the ultra. i have just replaced my ultra for this & the camera is still extremely good. As for feel, imo the ultra was heavy, bulky, the camera bump unacceptably cumbersome & unsightly & the pocket space required was ridiculous. The flip serves a purpose & it perfectly represents those requirements......personally, i was expecting to be underwhelmed but pleasingly, the opposite was the case.
@@dyschromotopia yes it’s almost the same size but narrower. The keyboard feels too small for me man. The ultra feel better. And try using the camera in low light.
Great video. Samsung if your watching and reading these comments. Why can't I choose a color that I want without compromising color? I want the lavender in 512. Why do you limit us color and storage options? All colors should have storage options.
@@TechLineHD Wow I'm impressed. Thanks for talking with then. I also posted a comment on Samsung members and have yet to get a response. Thanks for the update. Samsung is lame lol. Makes sense though. If they remove SD option you would think we would have the option of color and storage options that best fit our daily needs. Not just one set color.
Don't wash your phone under a tap! It may be IPx8 rated, but why would you intentionally get it wet! Use glasses cleaning wipes or small amount of glasses cleaning solution with a lint free cloth. Never wash your phone!
After 6 months of use, couple of light lines showed up exactly where the phone folds and after a week or so, half of the screen started flashing an intermittent light exactly where the text box appears. Do I have to say that founding and touching the phone damages it?? Samsung service said that I water damaged the mother board witch isn’t true. Of course warranty does not cover it. I knew I would have headache with this phone but didn’t think I would burn my money like this. It should be illegal selling this phone. I can’t forget to say that with a minor drop, outside screen stops working
As a Flip3 owner since day 1, I can say its a great phone but it cant handle games well. Games such as Wild Rift and Genshin impacts struggles to keep a stable 60fps and it heats up like mad too...
You have the choice of 128 or 256gb internal storage & unlike the extortionate price increases apple charge for a bit more memory, samsung charge around £50 more for the 256 than they do for the 128
As I am not ultra rich, a 1000 euro start prize is a 4 month salary for me. Untill they bring down the prize to 250 euro(which is how much my huawei p smart z 2019 cost me as it came out), there is no point at even looking at new phones. My current one has been in daily use since day 1. At least 5 hours a dau gaming daily. No problems. Ive even done the split screen, watching you tube, while playing games.
I've owned flip phones before (Motorola Razr, Casio G'zone), no problem to fold it with two hands. Or open... I really wouldn't keep it in my pocket, I found a belt pouch for it, and plastic cover.
To Gates; Yes a belt pouch. It fits on your belt. Back in the day (2001) mobile phones came with a belt clip. The phones got larger and flip open. And after awhile they stopped. That was ok. I raised livestock, so I couldn't keep my phone in my pocket. I use pouches. Especially a big phone. Like my Notes...
I wouldn't buy it. The only advantage is the light weight, but bulkier in the pocket because you have to fold it. It becomes too thick once folded. I like bar phones because they come with bigger batteries and fit slimmer in the pocket. You just pick up the phone and look at it as opposed to flipping it open, and that ugly crease in the middle is a turn off from the start and I do not want to get used to something I do not like.
The crease is barely noticeable & does not compromise function. Every comment i have received from the many people whose attention it grabs, has been emphatically positive. When folded, the width is of no consequence. You can see notifications from the cover screen, call details, you can answer without opening, you have a cover panel widget for every app & you can take photos, videos, selfies (with the full res of the main camera) from the cover screen & multi task with split screen apps.....
Looking at the specs, and say compare with the Pixel 6, you have very similar phones, though it could be easily argued that the Pixel 6 is better in many regards, from battery life to cameras. So at the same price I would still buy the Pixel 6 on specs alone. The question is; is it worth $400 extra for being able to flip close and be smaller length-wise when pocketed? For the life of me, that $400 is way too much to pay as my workload is 100's of notifications a day and opening and closing to respond is a painful wasteful experience. So for me, subjectively, the flip is a gimmick as it does not add value, just makes my user experience suck. I am sure, as flip phones way back when did, will have some interest for those easily bored, looking for a new and shiny thing, but does it have the staying power to be anything but niche? Hopefully it will as there is bound to be a small rich demographic that are not on their phone 24/7 and like the compact nature of the Flip and are willing to pay a hefty premium for that feature. For me, it was worthwhile buying it for a month or so, to see what all the fuss was about, but in the end just confirmed my thoughts that form over function is not where I want to be.
@@MrGetoDac didn't sound like you did. the Flip3 is in it's own league. it's a foldable, so it has its limitations. so, comparing it with the new Pixel doesn't make much sense. i ditched my iphone 13pro for the Flip3 because i wanted something different and refreshing. besides, not everyone cares about specs sheet. but anyhow, the flip is not for everyone.
