Because, deep down, everyone listens to them. I mean, so many of their songs are imprinted in your brain. I'm a huge metal fan so I don't really care for them anymore. Chad's really a douchebag alot of the time and it gives the band a bad name. Which sucks. Their drummer was one of the reasons I got into percussion. The long road was my favorite album as a 10 yo
Ya much of this is the sound man and the idea thst shows like this are practically out through recording studdio type equiptment. I have saw other shows on here I couldn’t even watch it was so bad. Not over all sound but the way they sounded singing was horrible.
Chad will lipsync to tracks live which is why his voice is so well preserved. They have clicks going in their monitors to stay in time, and all of their live releases are pretty much re-recorded in the studio. If van Halen will do it, you bet these guys will
@Ayetch Studies Only on certain tracks, photograph is one. A lot of post production goes into it. Pitch correction, and overdubs. What we hear is not what the audience hears.

Yo the sound engineer deserves full credit times a thousand...one of the most well mixed live recordings ive ever heard...no instrumental line or vocal is lost and its beautifully cleaned up while keeping the live feeling, never feeling like its studio recorded
Daniel Adair is an incredible drummer. When nickelback asked Vinnie Paul to play drums for the song side of a bullet, he refused and said that Daniel was playing it as well as he could.

Regardless, every note and every drum hit is being played live, but there are guaranteed to be some effects and additional mixing done during the editing to make it such high quality. It's the same for a ton of bands.

"Nickelback haters can suck it." They are just such a "generic rock band" for the era they gained popularity in. All those bands sounded exactly the same the lead singers sounded the same. You go back to 70's rock and every band had a unique sound while occupying the same space. Like I don't know if I'm listening to Nickelback, Creed 3 Doors Down or whatever other shitty milquetoast generic bullshit was out then. Even 90's freakin 3rd wave ska bands managed to sound different from eachother, despite the fact every songs music was an upbeat one drop with horns.

I admit, I was not a fan of Nickelback up until I seen them live on the Dark Horse tour. And they made me eat my words. They rocked. Chad knows how to work a mic and get a crowd going and their musicianship is top notch. They're total professionals when they work the stage. Definitely a magical night. You have to see them live cause that is where they shine the best.

Saw them open for Bon Jovi at Giants Stadium 2006. When they played Photograph, some people on the floor seats unfurled a huge Canadian flag. Will never forget that.
Looking at this makes you really wonder what kind of people put this band down. Unbelievable musicianship. Daniel Adair is a machine. The vocals,harmonies and use of two microphones to get two effects is amazing. They don't represent their true selves on the albums (as good as they are) compared to how they appear live. 🤘

Perfect song for me and my girl. Went to highschool together. Fell in love at first sight, yes, first sight. She scared the crap out of me. I was too shy to make it happen. We never forgot about each other. 34 years and 2 failed ( Thank God ) marriages later, I knew I had to find her. As fate would have it, it took 18 months but I finally found her. 7 1/2 years later, we are going stronger than ever!!! I Love You Gina!!!!!!
Love or hate.. One thing is certian.. they've spent a helluvalot more time rehearsing than they've wasted smokin and jackin off in a lousy tattoo parlor. Live.. they're clear, well timed, and capture most studio quality nuances. You can shit on their persona, Chads dickyness, etc.. but you can not legit shit on their sound, effort or basic polished talent.

And why did you hate them? Because it was cool to hate them? So many people say they hate them, yet when asked why they have no idea or they have ridiculously lame reasons. Most haven't heard more than a handful of radio songs. You can't judge a band by 5 songs.

Live.. they're clear, well timed, and capture most studio quality nuances.
You can shit on their persona, Chads dickyness, etc.. but you can not legit shit on their sound, effort or basic polished talent.

you're 11.... don't worry about it.... enjoy it all..... in fact I am not a huge Nickelback fan, I am from Alberta and had the pleasure of meeting them one random night 20'ish yrs ago and they are really cool guys, down to earth, fun to have some beers with, I prefer Nirvana music wise but don't take my opinion on this, love it all, appreciate it all and take it for what it is.... Oh except for Five Finger Death Punch, they suck..... on this one, take my word for it and denounce them completely!!! ;-) Have fun Buddy!!!
