I relate to 1, 2, 5, and 7. A LOT of these are heavily affected by ADHD, especially the ones dealing with emotion. A lot of people with ADHD experience emotion dysregulation, which basically means knee-jerk, overly intense reactions right off the bat, which sometimes don’t make sense in that context, and also not being able to tell that you are over-reacting until much later. Like when I was trying to study for CLEP exams, I literally started bawling my eyes out because the video instructor for the exam had really crappy handwriting and I could understand anything that he was writing

Isn't Dunning - kruger basically when people are too stupid to realise how stupid they are ? I've never heard of it in relation to above average intelligence.
@@54356776 Yes and no. It shows that people who overestimated their abilities and underestimate their abilities fall on opposite sides of intelligence and expertise. I've never been this early before. 1) I don't know if I'm smart. I'm paradoxically the smartest and dumbest person in the room. Unless it's emotional intelligence. Then it's I'm denser than a black hole. 2) I can't read emotions. At all. 3) Yeah, I'm creative. 4) I'm extremely impulsive. 5) I sometimes look for new experiences. I'm looking for more and more everyday. 6) I'm shit at self-care. Though I do "self check". Again nonexistent emotional intelligence. 7) Yes Yes Yes! I will never be out of things to learn! Learning is tastier than pizza, more priceless than the a puppy and more special than anything in the universe. 8) No emotional intelligence to speak of. I am very easily manipulated.
You yourself are believed to exist, the biological processes created carbon based species, therefore there must be some other sources in the whole universe whether carbon based or not.
Hello! I’m sorry! This is kind of unrelated.. but my best friend has really bad anxiety.. especially nowadays! She used to go to therapy but can’t afford it anymore! I’ve been helping her with it, but I really want to be able to do more!! I looked up what I can do to help, but mostly found what *not* to say or do to someone with anxiety! So I still don’t know what I *should* do.. it would mean a lot to me if you out made a video on how to help someone with anxiety! I love your channel, by the way! I think you guys are doing an amazing thing for the world 💖
Well, I think you should just be a good listener. Ask her to talk to you about how she feels. Pls do not say anything like "I know how you feel", because you don't. Maybe try to find out what triggers her anxiety, and duve deep into it (but while doing it do not act like "there is something to worry about that. Why are you anxious about that?") Overall, just listen to her and try not to make her feel like she is stupid or weird for feeling that way. Hipe it will help😊
To be fair, scientifically (psychometrically) it doesn't exist. It's a social construct version to the measurement of agreeableness of the Big Five personality test.
I was tested in the 140s IQ range when I was a kid. I started school a year early early, and was nearly skipped another grade on top of that. College was easy for me, and I'm one that has a cool head in emergencies. Reading people isn't hard, either. I'm great at writing and photography, because I use my analytical skills for both. I never stop learning; literature, the sciences, history, languages... For me, it's all about observation and curiosity. The problem is, I do it so much that I'm disconnected from those around me. I've been diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Order and Depression, and spend my time isolated. I have no relationships. I love traveling and experiencing new things, but I don't emotionally connect with people. The fact that I don't have any true passion or direction in life despite all I've done greatly bothers me. This is a huge blind spot, and I don't know how to fix it. Also, I fall short in several subjects. For example, I don't know anything involving the technical aspects of music, no do I have any talent for it. Same goes with anything involving astrophysics, aeronautics, oceanography, sailing, spelunking, pottery, medicine... My coordination is average at best, and I haven't played any sports since college. Math is decent, but Calculus was a real headache. There are innumerable parts of history that I still haven't covered yet; I want to focus more on Asian history and philosophy to learn more about my heritage. I'm trying to teach myself Mandarin right now, but it's much, _much_ harder than European languages due to the sheer amount of differences and emphasis on tones. All I can do is keep studying, learning, and applying whatever I can. But now that I'm getting older, it may be necessary for me to narrow down my field of interests to maybe 3 or 4, and specialize from there. I wish I could go back to college and earn a doctorate, but it's so ridiculously expensive now. Regardless, my username isn't just for show; I really do intend to be polymath.
@@iaaiaikdmekwhynot Wow, that must be difficult. Here in the States, they only require that you have 3 years of a foreign language. But the options were really limited 25 years ago when I was in school; there were only Spanish, French, and German. I went with Spanish, but I'd have gone with Mandarin in a heartbeat if it was available.
@polymathically man i can exactly relate to your personality. Im asking myself what the solution for someone like this is. I keep thinking to myself if i should just pick one sphere of interest but i always feel unsure abouut any decision. Plus i cant really picture myself in any future career path its strange ...
It sounds like you are expecting a lot of yourself. Just remember you don’t have to be excellent at every subject. It’s a good thing you want to keep on learning though but don’t put the bar to high. 💕
I feel like I have most of these traits, 1. I understand most people and their emotions, I've always been fascinated with emotions and what it does to people 2. I've never seen myself as a smart or intelligent person because I've never been the best at my school 3. I am pretty creative, I always make up many stories in my head, even though I feel like the stories I make are so stupid 4. I love learning, I feel like I'm the only one, who genuinely loves learning most of the time, of course I have my bad days where I hate learning but most of the time, I love it 5. I'm mostly open minded, I don't really judge as long no one is getting hurt, a lot of my classmates aren't as open minded because of religious reasons and even though it hurts me I understand their reasons and much rather let everyone be happy with their beliefs then impulsively get mad because they don't see things like I do, which brings me to number 6. I feel like I'm proactive( I'm not sure though, probably not) whenever I get into a fight on the internet I don't just react and start shouting and swearing uncontrollably (like most people I've seen) I read through their reasons and answers politely cause I don't want to shout at someone who I don't know, cause that's irrational and unnecessary to me, but who knows maybe I'm not intelligent at all maybe I'm just stupid like everyone else or maybe I am intelligent, doesn't really matter to me 😁😃
Thankyou for making these videos, and I’ve discovered that I’m a HSP, and I’ve always thought that i was just being to sensitive, and crying out of nowhere, and i notice way more details than people around me, i think a lot, and i do over process a lot, this may be the wrong video to comment about my trait, but I’m very glad to find your videos on RUclips, thank you !

I always used to underestimate my intelligence. Then I saw what people were writing and saying on the internet, now I know I am smarter than most people
I lack in maths so hard that it makes me feel so stupid sometimes but then there are those little moments I suddenly see through and say to myself "you're not that stupid then you think..." and this video helps a lot to gain more self awareness. Thank you!
Me just being an emotional scorpio: **anxiety- mAyBe depression- bottling up everything** InTeLlEGeNt? Brain: don't even *try* to get out of this hole you've unknowingly dug yourself into.
When I ARGUE any point that I believe, it is NEVER MY PRIDE that motivates me, it is my Fervent Belief that I am arguing for - is the truth - not necessarily what is right. Nothing to do with my pride!
There's a paradox here... People click on this video hoping to be smarter than they think but in doing so expect to be smarter than they think. Meaning they're not smarter than they think because they expected it. Ok I need to stop thinking my head hurts
Holy shit all of these are the characteristics that I have. I used to think that I'm different from others in a negative way (like having a mental problem or something like that). To whoever made this video, thank you so much now understand myself and I feel better about myself now.

Everyone says I an intelligent, and I know I am intelligent. But, at the same time, I am always trying to prove it to myself, and I always think things like "what if I am not that smart? I should be able to to this better."
1. You do not feel smarter than avarage *(average)* 1:03 2. You are empathetic 1:25 3. You are creative 2:02 4. You are proactive (rather than reactive) 2:30 5. You are open-minded 3:19 6. You practice self-improvement 3:58 7. You crave to keep learning *(or just "you crave learning")* 4:39 8. You are emotionally aware 5:10
to me this also invokes a lot of fear, i always knew from knowing myself and my family/friends telling me that im highly intelligent and the thought of not being able to become who i wanna be and not having all the skills i wanna have and strengthen my existing skills by the time i'll become older scares the f outta me but its also what keeps me going and im thankful for my high awareness and consciousness
Being too Smart is being so much aware, and It is so hard to neglect little things though itll b better to just let it go. Self conciousness is a big deal, it takes so much self responsibility.
Me: "No... don't give me hope" My brain: "Just shut up man, how dare you to think about it. Owh have I mention that your grades are average probably below average?"
School grades are leveraged on how much you are willing to follow orders and doing things against your will. It doesn't determine how smart you are. Remember, the majority of anti-vaxxers are people with an actual goddamn education.
Me: has a pretty reasonable amount of intelligence Also me: does stupid stuff like accidentally dropping my phone in the floor at least once every two weeks Why am I like this 😂

Me after watching this and realizing none of it applies to me: Ah. So I AM stupid.
Glad I'm not the only one ( ;∀;)

Not stupid more like smart in your way. Maybe you don't relate with these things but you are verry smart in other things/situations
Yea.. i don't relate to any of these
I believe when we start understanding people better than others, this is the key. It's empathy
Same, I’m very dense. I don’t know when people are sarcastic, and I have tendency to say or do things before thinking.

Have you ever looked into Alexithymia, considering your difficulty with emotions?

Hello!
Why are you anxious about that?")
Overall, just listen to her and try not to make her feel like she is stupid or weird for feeling that way.
Hipe it will help😊

No not at all! It's a relatively new concept!
To be fair, scientifically (psychometrically) it doesn't exist. It's a social construct version to the measurement of agreeableness of the Big Five personality test.
Haha I knew, since I have emotional intelligence. Am pretty sensitive and aware
@@machalatte3 aww you're so cute
@@iaaiaikdmekwhynot Oh hey, Malaysian! I'm a Malaysian too!
*set the bar to high

Being too Smart is being so much aware, and It is so hard to neglect little things though itll b better to just let it go. Self conciousness is a big deal, it takes so much self responsibility.
One sign is that you identify yourself with being a learner instead of being smart.

My brain: "Just shut up man, how dare you to think about it. Owh have I mention that your grades are average probably below average?"
School grades only check your motivation to study and memory most of the time. It's not really a good ctitique of intelligence 🤷♀️
School grades are leveraged on how much you are willing to follow orders and doing things against your will. It doesn't determine how smart you are.
