Music video by DJ Shadow performing Walkie Talkie. (C) 2003 A&M Records Ltd., under exclusive license to Universal Island Records Ltd #DjShadow #WalkieTalkie #Vevo #Pop #OfficialMusicVideo
Personally, I think it's the perfect length. Many of Shadow's tracks have a tendency to overstay their welcome, but this song gets right in there, does its thing, makes its point and moves along. 😎
Incorrect. The 45 King has been making instrumental Hip hop albums completely made from samples since the 80's. That's nearly a decade before Endtroducing.
OMG... I saw this video the first time I took acid. I wasn't sure if it was real or imagined. Every now and again my brain randomly goes SUCKER brrrrrrrr!! :):)
I've seen it as a kid and I didn't even like the song lmao but it's so odd that after like 15 years I got an urge to find it and I finally did it. this is some dark trip
@Pingustar55 so? be happy for the artist? if youve been a fan since day one like m thats awesome. the fact that hey are getting more publicity after all the hard work they put in. even better.
@1charliebhoffman i can't disagree with what you've said, it's just i don't like how Vevo can get the licensing to upload artists videos, slap a couple of adverts on it and then gain profit from other's work. The only justification is that the artists get their due respect and attention. And DJ Dhadow is one of the most underappreciated DJ's around.
Good point. But not only that it's all a fucking myth. The 45 King and Tony D were were making full instrumental albums made purely from samples 8 years before Endtroducing was even released. And those are just two NYC producers off the top of my head. It's just a myth propagated by Guinness Book Of Records and the media. Real Hip Hop DJ's and record collectors know this, And so does Josh Davis so it would be great came out with a statement de-bunking this total myth.
@TheEloeo shadow's new label must have ok'd their permission to upload the songs. i cant rely think any other reason why they would upload them so late
@Pingustar55 No i totally agree and get where you're coming from. The adds and stuff are lame. Dj Shadow just needs respect cause he slays. I hope everyone realizes hes a legend.
god dammit! I feel cheated :S he even got the guinnes world record for it being the first album made only from samples. Perhaps they were satisfied it all came from the MPC and not live instruments.
why is there a lil wayne ad in the background... seeing lil waynes face while listening to dj shadow is like staring at a pile of shit while trying to eat
Such an underrated song! Easily one of the most immediately gratifying beats he's ever made.
This song is criminally short! It's too good!
Personally, I think it's the perfect length. Many of Shadow's tracks have a tendency to overstay their welcome, but this song gets right in there, does its thing, makes its point and moves along. 😎
If you're craving for length, try DJ Shadow's Six days Remix feat. Mos Def. Same backing tracks, but with actual lyrics.
Correct. Something isn’t right. But, I can dig it🎭
This music video is legendary
I'll never forget riding around with my best friends in high school all bobbing our heads to this... ABSOLUTE TIMELESS BANGER.
One of the baddest song Shadow has done...not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good!

I can’t believe this came out almost a decade ago. Aged well.
Just a decade? I feel like it's been longer then a decade. Maybe even 2 decades?
lol wat this is 2003
DJ Shadow = one of the greatest samplers in history, and owner of the first ever completely sampled album
He’s so quick. He’s so fast.
Incorrect. The 45 King has been making instrumental Hip hop albums completely made from samples since the 80's. That's nearly a decade before Endtroducing.

This tune is different from the one in the Private Press!
Yes! It's because it's the "Private RePress" version
OG is better than the Repress version
He's so fast, he's so quick

I love how Mos Def mixed this with six days.
Yasiin didnt mix it, shadow did.
Reminds me of Wave Twisters heavy
this song is short but has a lot of stuff changing quickly, making it EXTREMELY satisfying once you know it all by heart
Let's go people. Thumbs this up so more people can enjoy
This should be required listening in school
This is my favourite Alternative cosmic hip-hop megagrind song
Still one of my faves

The video uses visuals the way DJ Shadow uses samples.

Theres a DJ Khaled ad on a DJ Shadow video, thats not ok.

@Pingustar55 so? be happy for the artist? if youve been a fan since day one like m thats awesome. the fact that hey are getting more publicity after all the hard work they put in. even better.
This looks like a Animutation
Im sure this be from the live show In Tune and on Time
EDIT: Indeed it is... around the 15:30 mark
Screw APA, you can't argue with a crazy dude wielding a chainsaw :p
I hate how whenever I try to show this amazingness to people, they get creeped out by the "I LIKE IT HARD"
Ah yes, the "I LIKE IT HARD" part is unsettling. Of course, it couldn't have been the NIGHMARISH FEVER DREAM VISUALS-
Not exactly sure what the fuck I just saw.
But it was awesome.
great
2018 👊✌💯
Fun and play
wow.
someone discovered after effects.
bad mother{bleep} dj...This is why I walk & talk this way!

Well that escalated quickly.
Tokyo Drift - Six Days
Six day
Who actually give this a thumbs down??? Dumbfounded.... Just enjoy your lives ffs
I suppose if you care more about sound effects than how a track actually makes you feel.
HOLOFONIC!
You are trolling, right? They are totally different genres. Besides, DJ Blend was in preschool when DJ Shadow was dropping his first mixes.
Does anyone know where the "I like it hard! Hard as a rock!" sample come from?
Go to whosampled.com. you'll probably find it there
It's from Cochise - Freeze Defrost
Endtroducing actually wasn't completely sampled. Gift of Gab did some vocals on Midnight in a Perfect World.
Good point. But not only that it's all a fucking myth. The 45 King and Tony D were were making full instrumental albums made purely from samples 8 years before Endtroducing was even released. @TheEloeo shadow's new label must have ok'd their permission to upload the songs. i cant rely think any other reason why they would upload them so late
i keep thinking "aqua teen hunger force"
Don't believe you, I'd like to see an APA citation for that reference.
You would have to record the instruments, then make the sounds into samples...isn't that what the MPC is made for?
Ahh, VEVO's gotten to this song too. :(
Ah .frist time seen putten his fame .
I want to go to his SF show, but I know there's gonna be a bunch of dead hip-hoppers there; so this goth isn't going
Alguém sabe os nome dos cantores do vídeo?
@Pingustar55 No i totally agree and get where you're coming from. The adds and stuff are lame. Dj Shadow just needs respect cause he slays. I hope everyone realizes hes a legend.
why am I reviewing this
@nastynas373
This album was completely sampled?
=)
Weird, why didn't they upload these earlier?
god dammit! I feel cheated :S he even got the guinnes world record for it being the first album made only from samples. Perhaps they were satisfied it all came from the MPC and not live instruments.
Ahead of his time
This n walk it like I talk it mix ouch
why is there a lil wayne ad in the background... seeing lil waynes face while listening to dj shadow is like staring at a pile of shit while trying to eat
Didn't know that Obama was in a DJ Shadow clip...
Isso é um tanto perturbador! :-\
