      @ronnylarock13 3 года назад

      @@David_Trowbridge "Common sense" would in your case be to ban the sport of strongman. Big Z fell over with an atlas stone falling down on his stomach, probably looooooooooooooooooooooong before you even knew what a strongman was - and that "could" inflict serious damage to the intestines etc. Danger danger. Its like the barrel throw: When the barrel hits the bar/plate and falls down towards the athlete, the athletes dodge them. Same here, they dont just stand still looking for the stone to "fall" all 20-30 cm, which is the distance between the bottom of the stone to the top of the head.
      Block pressing would in your case be 10x worse, because the blocks are lifted at a higher distance than the atlas stone.

    This whole event seemed shambolic and having atlas stone press is the icing on the cake. All bar three competitors were Brits and the ones that weren't are nobodies (no disrespect). It was held outside in Britain in autumn. If you can't have a meaningful competition. Don't have it.

    My God that atlas stone overhead lift is hard to watch. Carry on doing that and it's only a matter of time until someone gets badly hurt.

    I thought the "trial by stone" event at the Arnolds was bad but this atlas stone pressing takes it to a whole new level of shit. Hopefully we never see this again, way too much risk and it isn't even fun to watch

    Amazing hosting Eddie! I'd love if you were to host more Strongman Tournaments.. you make it more exciting for me, and I loved how you beat everyone in that one competition, highlight! (think that was in Day 1)
    I've got one question though, what's that awesome music that starts at 8:23 ?

    Wow I really thought Adam was going to pull it off especially after his performance in the keg toss but the slip on the stones cost him. Luke showed age isn’t nothing but a number & the young gun pulled it off.

    Im all for the new guys making greatness. But honestly I think Shaw will take 5th time WSM come the next event. He's totally hungry still. Shaw will dominate WSM at least one more time. He won't quit. Whether it's this year or whenever that guy wants to say 5x wsm.
