So impressed that Eddie still has his strength whilst shedding the weight. Legendary💪🏽💪🏽 Edit: Luke Richardson absolutely dominated the Atlas Stones. Madly impressive 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Watching Mark Felix doing the Denny Stones really made me appreciate what Brian Shaw did on that bridge even more; and watching those other guys doing the keg toss also made me reeeaally appreciate Brian Shaw's 18 second keg toss... Great content, Eddie!
I don't get why they did an event like atlas stone press. It's so dangerous. Even the guys were hesitant to push themselves. You literally can smash your head if your grip slips.
I mean almost all the events in strongman are technically dangerous when you're pushing absolute human strength limits but I agree that stone press is ridiculously dumb and especially dangerous.
The atlas stone press is not a well thought event.. That shit is dangerous, a little slip up and you'll knock urself out, get a concussion or even worse smh.. Lovely competition otherwise
Agreed. I hope they never do it again. I don't even feel like it does a good job of making people compete on a strength level, more a mental game of who's more willing to put themselves in harm's way.
And still every time I see Mark Felix compete he impresses me the most. 54 years old aswell and still stronger than I'll ever be in my time, probably. What a legend!
Terminate the whole sport of strongman because all events are dangerous. Too bad the sport has attracted so many soft snowflakes the last years... Commercialization brings alot of "computerfans" , sad to see. Great event that tests arm-muscles and wrists in a completely different way than i.e the block-press.
I agree, that event is just so unnecessarily dangerous (I mean I know it's a dangerous sport but all it takes is one small slip and that stone lands right on your head and you're gone)
@@David_Trowbridge "Common sense" would in your case be to ban the sport of strongman. Big Z fell over with an atlas stone falling down on his stomach, probably looooooooooooooooooooooong before you even knew what a strongman was - and that "could" inflict serious damage to the intestines etc. Danger danger. Its like the barrel throw: When the barrel hits the bar/plate and falls down towards the athlete, the athletes dodge them. Same here, they dont just stand still looking for the stone to "fall" all 20-30 cm, which is the distance between the bottom of the stone to the top of the head. Block pressing would in your case be 10x worse, because the blocks are lifted at a higher distance than the atlas stone.
Well done to Luke, but the competition was pretty limited to be fair. No Stoltmen, no Icelanders, no Poles, no Lithuanians...so is it possibly just The Shires Strongest Man?
There are better strong man events for over head press. The atlas stone press is stupid and dangerous. Im not one usually to say they should not do any moves or pressing but this is dumb

This has been an awesome series. I honestly have a hard time keeping track of any strongmen that aren't in the top 3-4 or on the History channel show. Eddie's commentary is amazing and it's helping me keep track of these guys.
Eddie, really awesome you go down to this event and support the next strongman ... I think being a reporter (especially for this kind of events) would really suite you ... You got the mouth, the knowledge and the witts to do it .... Keep going m8.....
2:22 Colin introduces Bishop as the “Defending” British Strongman, which is very telling of this “Europe’s” Strongest Man. I believe that’s said when the champion is competing in the same competition the championship was won, not in a different competition, since here he is not defending his title.

Impressive show by everyone, Mark Felix has some truly impressive grip strength. Still figuring out the strengths and weaknesses of the individual competitors but grip strength is very much Felix's strength. Bishop and Luke took the lead and kept it very well done.
This whole event seemed shambolic and having atlas stone press is the icing on the cake. All bar three competitors were Brits and the ones that weren't are nobodies (no disrespect). It was held outside in Britain in autumn. If you can't have a meaningful competition. Don't have it.
Hey Eddie, quarantine is difficult but your video make my days easier, thanks for the content, love it ! Looking forward to the fight 💪 keep smashing !
I thought the "trial by stone" event at the Arnolds was bad but this atlas stone pressing takes it to a whole new level of shit. Hopefully we never see this again, way too much risk and it isn't even fun to watch
