It can move people of all cultures and trigger such rewarding experiences. Some people are so addicted to music that they sleep with their headphones or earbuds on. We had come across some videos that claimed that that can be harmful, so we decided to do some research about the subject. So, is sleeping with music on good or bad? Are you intrigued to know? Did you know that during the ages, not all cultures had a term for music? Some civilizations didn't have the same concept of music as others, so they don't even have the term music in their language. They just considered it a part of their lifestyle and didn't feel the need of giving it a name. Technically, music is just noise, an organized noise to be specific. It's a combination of various sounds and noises organized in meaningful patterns. Anyway, music is found in every culture, past, and present. It became more global and popular in the modern era because of the evolution of technology. Now, music is becoming a global thing where we can see cross-overs of different genres. It's becoming a universal thing.
#2. Dangers Of Listening To Music While Sleeping
1) Necrosis of the skin: If the earbuds or headphones cause pressure on the skin in the ear canal, this can leads the body tissue to die, It's the premature death of cells in the living tissues. This can lead to gangrene and be fatal.
2) Your safety is at risk: When we sleep, our brain is naturally prepared for an emergency, when something happens, your ear is your guard, it sends a neurovascular message to the brain to inform it that you should wake up. So, naturally, you realize there's an emergency and wake up immediately. What if the ear can't do its job properly? Then, you might not realize that there is a danger until it's too late.
3) Wax build-up. Sleeping with earbuds on can prevent the wax from escaping the ear. It builds up and can lead to more complications. Along with it being gross, it can also be quite unhealthy. The excessive amount of earwax can cause hearing problems and ringing in your ears and vertigo.
4) Death: There is a chance of getting a gangrene caused by necrosis, also, something might happen while you're sleeping that can affect your safety and you might not be able to hear it because of the music, or there is a slight chance of a cord getting wrapped around your neck and causing a lack of air supply which can lead to death. This is highly unlikely to happen.
#3. Benefits Of Sleeping With Music On
1) Studies have shown that listening to music while trying to fall asleep could be used as an alternative treatment for those who may suffer from PTSD and insomnia.
2) Music improves the quality of sleep in those who suffered from various sleep problems.
3)Music also can regulate your mood and relief your stress, and that can be beneficial for sleep.
4) Music can enhance sleep efficiency. Research shows that a pre-bedtime music listening session can help you fall asleep more quickly.

Many people nowadays use music as a treatment for sleep disorders. This can be beneficial for sleep efficiency, but like anything ever, there are some potential side effects to it. Music can enhance sleep quality, and relieve anxiety and stress, but sleeping with earbuds or headphones may not be a very smart thing to do. The best thing to do would be taking your earbuds off before falling asleep or listening directly from a speaker instead of earbuds or headphones.
