I love your videos, and I always get excited to see Jocelyn there. 😊 She’s my all time favorite picker. And you’re my all time favorite antiques expert. ❤❤
Good evening, George. I liked the black and white bamboo pattern on the dinnerware set. The jewelry cases had some interesting items. That cameo was a beauty! Thanks for the take-along!
Thank you! I was pleased with the cameo and I would've liked that music cabinet if it had been priced. The black/white really was a good design, more mod than your usual taste but it worked somehow I thought!
@@TheAntiqueNomad That cameo, to me, was _the_ find. You might could've asked if the music cabinet was for sale. A price tag could have been removed from it, by another shopper...or shopper's child. Yeah, the black & white was much more mod than what I would usually go for, but the bamboo pattern, somehow, creates a sort of "bridge-link" between traditional and modern designs. Bamboo designs have the quality of being able to do that. It's like the Victorian pickled bamboo...it will work quite well in a modern setting.
I love the shape of Sango's cream and sugar set and the colors and finishes they use too. Wow you did well! You always win in my book George.👍😊the cameo was way cool.
Whoa, that Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass record was a blast from my past! My mom & dad had that in their fav LP stash on top of the cabinet stereo in our living room. Oops, did i just reveal my age 🤗
I think you won for most spectacular item. That cameo is stunning! You mentioned the cat is marked "JJ". Who is that? Oh, my gosh, the Thermoses. I rode my bike to elementary school in the '60s and we took our lunch. I was forever breaking the glass liner. My mom would get furious with me. 😂 I'm always thrilled when I see a thumbnail of you, George, because I know I'm going to learn so much. 😊
George, I always enjoy your videos so much, and continually learn from you! It’s great to see you in our area! I’ve been to this store 2-3 times in my life, and only live about 15 minutes from it! After I saw your video, my son and I went over, and found a few really nice things, even though we’re not, but SHOULD be, resellers!! Thanks again!!
Hey George! I really liked the Caprice bowl. It has an almost kaleidoscope feel to it. I enjoyed this day if shenanigans!. Kate tells her fans she is allergic to thrift shops, so she must love ya'll to venture in with you! Can't wait to see more of Mexico!! ❤❤❤😊
I've seen this from Jocelyn and Jacob's POVs already. 03:45 Sit the lampshade in a brass holder. Add candle? One of those ball candles would work perfectly. 20:44 The pointy-bottom glasses are for use outdoors. You just stick them into the ground to hold them up. 28:34 I have that JJ pin somewhere! My local Ill Will stores don't put out any jewelry at all any more. As for filling a cart, you're lucky to NEED a cart.
When I had a Covid for a week a couple years ago, Lamp lady played in the background for most of my sickness duration. It was the right combo of relaxing and entertaining at the time but I must say I wish the algorthym gods pointed me to your channel George. It wouldve been a welcomed edition 😂
Loved the 18K cameo you got. I have a small collection of cameos and 18K is my favorite. I also purchase cool ties and I do periodically wear them. I think you had the best haul!
I have the Cambridge blue Caprice (cigarette) box and there shell ash trays. They were my mom’s and now mine. (I’m 62). They sure are beautiful. I lived that clear caprice bowl you picked up.
I love the vintage glass ceiling shades. Lived in a pre civil war farm house and we had them in every rm. Wish i had a use for them now I would collect them! I did once see in a home magazine where the had mounted them to a wall, like a whole wall full. That colorful snake was eyecatching. Might have brought notice to your booth stands from afar. 😊. The cameo was beautiful.
This was great, love the jewelry counter too. GoodWill is selling theirs online now, however sometimes the ARC is selling piece jewelry. Darn shame too. Have a great day
Hola Amigo, como estás Jorge? I enjoyed this video, cool to see you have fun with your friends 😊 This place is so big, you were not kiding. 👍 Another place to go when in Ohio.
George, somtimes when I'm shopping in the local goodwill or savers, I'll put a random item in the unattended shoppers cart. It's quirky and interesting to see if they buy it.😁
That pretty lamp shade, I’d try to find some sort of base to hold it , a round black metal wire type . You could put artificial flowers in it . Or how about pouring a candle in it ? That’s if that glass could stand heat from a flame .
Wow, very cool place. Every year, I take my PTO time for vacay and include sourcing of some sort. This year was Peaches to Beaches. Last year was in MI. Year before was Flea Across Florida. Next year, I may have to go to Ohio and check that place out! (Though being a Michigan Wolverine, the thought of going to Ohio for anything makes me shudder! LOL). Bill Knapps was also a classic old restaurant that was in Battle Creek. They went out of business quite a while ago, but sold rights to some bakery items to be sold in stores yet. Every once in a while I see some old piece of memorabilia from that place. Great video.
Just asked Siri to confirm my memory - The original Wynn Schuler's Restaurant was established in Marshall, MI...the building has now been razed ... that crock held cheese, if I remember correctly, with, as you said, a wire handle ... I have a nice memory of driving there with my uncle to meet my dad there ... I live in A2 and my dad lived in Chicago, so we three met halfway! Nice memory!
If you are ever in the east valley Phoenix, Arizona area you should check out Purple Heart Thrift (they have three locations), 360 Thrift (they have a bunch of locations too, all worth checking out), Stuff Thrift and Sunshine Acres. We've found some good stuff at all of these places. 👍
Hi George! I’d love to meet you my home state of Michigan! I’m having trouble finding where you will be May 9-11? I looked on Rosie’s channel and can’t find more info. Thanks! Cici FabFlipLady
Fun trip. Love Jocelyn.
George, you may not have won a race yhere but you're ALWAYS #1 in my book!

And you’re my all time favorite antiques expert. ❤❤
Thank you, George! You bring so much joy to people, and we appreciate you!❤❤❤
I appreciate that!
Sharing his videos is a great way to show appreciation for George
The green silk tie is beautiful. I think it would look great with a modern suit. ❣️
George, that blue plastic wine glass, I think you’re supposed to stick it into the lawn….or better the beach, on a picnic 🧺
The vintage pink light cover..Amazon or EBay sells replacement chain kits for those. I’ve put one in my bedroom and love it.
Good to know! I wondered if they were available
The Cameo was a excellent score. Absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you purchased the tie with the Disney characters too. If i saw it I would buy too ❤
Yay I just became a big fan of Jacob and Kate ~ great to see them ❣Blessings to you George and all 😻
Never get tired of watching you shop George! Thanks so much!
Thank you too!
That cameo was just lovely!
This was fun!!❤😊
Fun video 😂
George, you crack me up. “Most collector plates can be used for skeet shooting targets” 😅😂
Neat store
That was fun! I saw Jacob's and Jocelyn's videos too.
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for enjoying it with me!
It's always so much fun to shop with friends.
Beautiful music cabinet!
I’m Glad you got the cameo and I’m glad Jocelyn got the blue dog letter holder. Both well Rescued from the goodwill. 🎉🎉
I love it when you are able to thrift for jewelry!😊
Ginormous store and super fun thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
George you made me laugh saying collector plates were for skeet shooting 😂.
Man, me toooooo 😂
What fun to see everyone together at a Goodwill. That looked like a great store. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day

I’m so glad! JJ was a Connecticut jewelry maker in the last quarter of the 20th century

Always want to win for spending the most! 😝
Lol I'd like to get it even cheaper and "lose"
Ive seen people use those hanging light fixtures for a hanging plant 🪴. So cute! 🥰
Whip it, whip it good! 😂😂😂😂
Wow, that's a great deal on the cameo.

Great ties & beautiful cameo.

Very fancy clear bowls I love.
Thanks George! You are coming to my neck of the woods! I live in Michigan.
Very cool! Come see us at Tique Stock
If all works well, I'll be there!
Nice buys, George! The blue and green brooch may be a Juliana. I don't believe the company always marked their pieces.❤
It was the right era but didn’t have the right pudding of the solder

19:24 I was thinking the same... how similar you and Jocelyn are at your choices.
We do see a lot of things alike
You are Devo and that’s a compliment of the highest form 🙏🏻 Truly!! 👍😘🐩

lol I guess I did because I got the best thing!
😊👩🏻🦳🐾‼️Thanks, George! Fun‼️
At 14:59 that plate with the cow on it actually said 1942. lol I would have had some problem putting that one back on the shelf too.
It looked like the Borden cow, although I seem to remember Purple Cow restaurants as a kid here in Maine.

I like those repurposing ideas
You won because you got the 80s ties! Score!
🎉 🎉 🎉
Yes here i go
Need that fore Beatles albums
George, it was fun to see you drop over $130 for that cameo!
Yes! I wasn't afraid though, when I saw it was 18k insted of 14k I figured there was money in it. Nice to get something good at a thrift store!
Yay!!!😅

@@TheAntiqueNomad You are welcome. The East valley where I am has a lot of great thrift stores and estate sales. Definitely worth checking out.
That dish is Elsie the cow, very popular back in the 50's, i believe. I believe she was the mascot for Borden milk.
By George see ya in 27 hours luv
That upside down lamp thingy … macrame a hanger specifically for it! Could face either way then!
✨❤️🧡💛💚💙💜✨
I'd glue that pink thing to a pedestal and make a beautiful bowl.
Nice idea
Saw a red lobster glass they are going out of business, might of been a good buy
I’ve started using the cut or pressed glass instead of canisters they look nice and they are bargain prices right now
The fab four roving through the GW.
Love it!
But u didn't lose me hee hee
I am realizing I have seen Jocelyn's video of this event 😂 😂
Yup Jacob Berners first time EVER to a thrift store, crazy!!
😂 I hope it doesn't reck their reputation 😂

Turns out that’s pretty easy to do
