    Funny how he reacts to the style issue because I personally think it's true. He says "I'm so ill suited for my job" in terms of thinking of creating any sort of visual style and yet, it's true that nobody else looks like the Decemberists. Even in that sense they are unique. Even when he's just wearing a t-shirt and jeans, nobody else looks or sounds like Colin Meloy. Nobody else looks, dresses or produces the quality of sound Jenny Conlee gets from an accordion or a keyboard. The same goes for the rest. I guess that that is really what it means to be a genuine trend-setter, when you actually manage to create a style all of your own without actually trying to...
