  • Are you a skater who gets on the ice and then doesn't know what they should be practicing? Then here is something that is going to help! ►► www.nextedgetutorials.com/tra..." The Training Session Planner For Figure Skaters" → Download our FREE PDF Guide
Being organised for training/practice at the ice rink is incredibly important. Some things are easy to remember, like all your equipment - skates, guards, gloves, jacket. While other things can be a little more tricky to organise. Like knowing exactly what you want to do once you get on the ice! Should I do JUMPS? Should I do SPINS? What should I PRACTICE?
Well in this week’s lesson we’re helping to provide a little bit of training inspiration by showing you what a 30 minute session can look like. Follow along as we do skating skills to warm up, work on some jumps and finish off with a few spins. So if you’re planning your next practice/training session…check out this lesson and get inspired!
    In this lesson you'll learn:
    - How to split up a 30 minute training session.
    - What exactly to focus on to get the most out of your training.
    - Why it’s important to plan for a session before getting on the ice.
    Happy Skating!

Stacey this is one of my fav vids it’s very relatable
You show what it’s like to warm up as a skater and I myself tend to have similar habits in my first 30 min
    Thank you, Tom

This was so much fun to watch. I really enjoyed it and it is a beautiful format to show how you structure your training 😍🥰 One question: what do you think is harder to do: spread eagl or Ina Bauer? ☺️

Thank you so much!! I would say spread eagles but it really depends on the skater ❤️❤️ thank you for you kind words

Thank you for sharing. One question I have is how many reps in general should I aim to complete to improve my jumps/spins (as a 44 year old heavy male)? I feel like doing too many reps on jumps starts to hurt my tendons/ligaments. So I am looking for the minimal amount... like 3 jumps for each of the 6 jumps to maintain technique but if learning a new jump then up the volumes to 10 reps for new/improving jumps....
