This is a *proper look* for vlogs! Now they all use either iPhone’s or DSLR/DSLM’s, which for vlogs aren’t good at all. Either video is out of focus, shaky, not correctly exposed, with insufficient zoom or too sharp and with fingerprint-dirty lenses (smartphones). Camcorders are suited for run’n gunning, and unfortunately we quit using them after the late 2000s…
I know camcorders are more expensive, but at the end, still/hybrid cameras need to be rigged with lenses and accessories … (unless you want so use them scrappily)
looks interesting but what about stablisation - can you walk with this and get steady footage (on real estate for example) - also how shallow can you get depth of field?
What about audio? Can you get an XLR adapter for it, or do you have to step up to the XF400? Does that even matter?
I want to control the camera from my computer like EOS utility but I don't find the program. what I can do?
Hello, I have a question about the Canon GX10 camera. Does this camera have a soft start and smooth stop function? When pressing the W / T lever, a gentle divergence of the zome or a stepwise one takes place? Does it stop smoothly with gentle release W / T? I can not find a zoom video test anywhere. You help?
Hi and thank you for taking the time to comment on our video. To answer your question; the Canon LEGRIA GX10 does not have a 'smooth start and stop' function as such, but comes equipped with an extremely fluid zoom effect. Depending on how firmly you press the zoom lever on the camera, the zoom will move at different speeds in order to create the desired effect for your video. @@CanonEurope Yes, that's what I mean, whether W / T follows a smooth zoom.
I have subtle film wedding productions in which the sudden breaking of the zoom speed causes a bad impression on the film.
Such a function would be very useful, maybe software can be introduced such a facility? In truth, adding a simple RC filter in the W / T's perimeter circuit would be the simplest, if I knew if it was available for an advanced service without unsealing the optics section.
Is it possible to smoothly manually control the shutter in this camera? It is a pity that the lens ring does not have such an additional function.
Does the xf400 camera have the same lens with the same adjustment and do the differences depend only on the XLR audio module? Thank you
I apologize for these suggestions straight to Canon, but in my country professional discussion ends with the price and buy. It's a pity, because now many filmmakers in Poland are aiming to exchange HD for 4K.

Hello! I got two different opinions about how easy is to use this camera: some told me it is very easy and others it is difficult. I have a Basic Panasonic Handycam and this one is a good upgrade. I am not an expert, I want it for my channel. If there is going to be soon a new similar camera but with improvements, I can wait.

@@CanonEurope I want an easy camera in general. My idea is make Semiprofessional vlogs and some videos of events indoor, outdoor and with low light.
@@AnaMuriel I have had this camera for two months now. It is very easy to use and you can change settings for low light which is very good. I am very happy with the output.

@@AnaMuriel I mostly use the camcorder in auto mode. Recently, I recorded a junior baseball game and then at the lake, some video of dogs swimming and then boating. Extremely good quality results. I think it is much better than a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. This camera has a 1" sensor which brings in low light better than most other video cameras.
One thing to consider is the size of the camcorder. If you don't mind the weight, it's really the way to go.
What about this camera for amateur vloggers like me who wants to learn something more professional? Is this a good option? Is there a better option? I want to turn into a semi-professional RUclipsr. While I learn Manual Options I will use Automatic Options. I will use it for festivals, interviews, street-vlogs or theaters.
Hi Ana, yes, LEGRIA GX10 is great for vloggers and RUclipsrs. The built-in 15x zoom lens is excellent for the variety you mention and the 1.0-type sensor is great for both being able to blur the background and performance in any low light conditions you are keen to cover. At the same time, the stabilisation is amazing for vlogging - Dual Pixel CMOS AF will give reliable autofocus and the 4K will give you creative options.

At 1st I thought it was a name mistake but it seems this camcorder has a different name overseas. I think I prefer the name Legria rather than Vixia.
hi canon, being at the same price as the xc15 in uk, which is better for film making/ music videos, xc15 or gx10
Hi there, if shooting commercially, the XC15 stands out for the following reasons:
- 1 inch type sensor gives shallower depth of field, giving a more cinematic look
- More robust file type with better colour sampling and larger file size will allow more freedom in post-production
- Pro level audio via XLR connections for microphones
The XC15 is a Pro level camera, while GX10 is very good model for enthusiast. Hope that helps :)

Many of our camera's has video capabilities and we also have camcorders, and film cameras that go into the cinematic range. So there are many options for you, pending on what kind of videos you plan to make, whether you want something that easy to use or you already have advanced knowledge on how to use a film camera, whether you will be shooting on the go or in in more of a studio setup, whether you want something with interchangable lenses, or something simpler, and what your budget is. Well i want to record while im building computers, youtubing overall, and for twitch streaming, im looking for extremely good quality, i dont need mic since i will have one seperate... I wont film comercials. I dont have a price range really, im currnely using a webcam 922... But i've seen pewdiepie using an canon xa11 camrecorder.. I would wanna check with you if there is a camera that can top the xa11 in quality, i just want a camera for my home i might use it to film it outside aswell... And i dont take pictures at all... But if there is a good camera that can film even better i might be interested in that aswell
I am starting a children's youtube channel with fun games, puppets and creativity and very colourful. It's a kids charity which I have so it's all free. Is this camcorder good for ease of use, quality (at least 1080), colours, and sound. I have a small camcorder at the moment (HD) but I have to use the colour boost otherwise it looks dull. Thanks
