I wish you success in your new life. My question is, does an air compressor that runs on oil affect the painting process, especially if my field of work is painting specifically for motorcycles?

That is a great question. A few of the body shops I worked in all used oil in their air compressors as long as the oil doesn’t leak past the seals and enter the tank you are good to go. You do not want any oils in the tank or in your air hose, one of the body shops I worked in the compressor, went bad and leaked oil past, and it entered the tank, contaminating the tank, and the hose causing fish eyes.
