Thanks for the update! I’m Mervin with The Brand Power Washing & Parking Lot Striping. You motivate me go to Harbor Freight and buy one & mine is working great as well!
Best option to take with this Predator gas pump system is to buy two of them, and buy the two year extended warranty. That way 1. You’ll have one on hand that you can swap relatively quick when you’re on a job, minimizing downtime. 2. When one does fail (pump leak, diaphragm failure, no pressure, won’t keep running, power loss, etc.), take it back to Harbor Freight and they’ll fix or replace it. 3. Periodically run a dechlorinator through the pump to help extend its service life. Those pumps *aren’t designed* to hold up to the level of chemicals they’ll be exposed to during soft washing so the warranty will come in handy.
Thank you for the update. How long of a hose is on the reel during this test? What is the length of hose that you add to it and how diminished is the flow and distance with the additional hose length?
I started my set up similar to this with 2inch renegade, little pressure, tweaking for pressure, looks like these transfer pump has the flow, just need the pressure to be p40 130psi and ar45 290psi, if we can increase this, then these transfer pump maybe competitive haha, looking around I think we can achieve in between those two I love these type of project trial and error, thank you for sharing, hopefully I can get some good result as well
Exactly the setup I'm thinking about to start up. The best pump would be nice to have, but so would 2500 bucks. I think this is the way to go until you're established.
The setup is great when I place the intake hose directly in my tank, but the flow is horrible when I run it through my portioner, what am I doing wrong? Please advise.
Mine has no problem getting water as it comes out the bottom of the tank but doesn’t seem to consistently pull chems or soap as those pull from the top of the tank
@@stormcoroofingandrestorati3874 that’s an interesting thing to consider. I’m pulling from the top of all my tanks which seems to have a slight issue at first but as soon as the lines fill back up they work
@ it’s a pretty common issue on some machines. I just got that pump today and I’m going to plumb it in the next day or two. Cant wait to try it. Don’t get rid of your 12v. The more experience you get the more you will realize how important the 12v pumps are. Good luck. 👍
Being part time and mainly down streaming I’ve done 9 roof washes, 13 house washes, and I’ve used it for 6 extremely dirty driveways so far with no issues except having to drill my carb jet some thousandths bigger to run right.
@ I ended up buying the extended warranty might as well do you know what you’re supposed to do with the strainer? I did not see one on yours. Didn’t know if I need to use that for anything. I bought some 1 inch female to a three-quarter reducer and I’m gonna hook up my three-quarter inch hoseand see if that works good enough.
@AdvancedSoftwashLLC you say it's not better than an AR45 or comet p40 but it's flowing good plus those are $1500 or better i know i have one i would definitely try this over that price wise
@@440pressurewashing the hose connections on the pump can be found in local hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.) and the cam lock fittings I got from my local tractor supply. If enough people would like it I can make a parts kit and sell it

Alright... Thanks for the update on the pump... Good to know that, it is still holding up...
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this info!
Thank you for the video. I’m wondering, how long does it take to cycle from water to bleach on 200’ of hose?😊
I’ll time it and let you know!
It takes roughly 40 seconds
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLCThank you brother
Yes sir!
Thank you for the update. How long of a hose is on the reel during this test? What is the length of hose that you add to it and how diminished is the flow and distance with the additional hose length?
The hose is 150’ and the extension is the same. The flow stays the same with maybe a foot less of distance

how is it runing when you're off the trigger? I would think a lot of pressure would build up and bust the seals overtime.
@@ecswashingtonllc5904 stays at 85 psi. No issues still after a year

What size is the proportioner? What brand valves are you using?
Have you tried using a 1/2" hose at the reel to see if you get better pressure? That would be a good 3rd video.
It could be worth a shot…
Thanks for the update.

Sometimes you have to slight close your water valve a notch or three. Then it will pull. I had the same issue with an AR60 on my 1” manifold.
Interesting. I don’t seem to have an issue anymore but if I come across it again I’ll will do that. I believe that is what I did to fix it 🤔

What pump?
@@joshuabeam1156 the predator 1 inch???
Do you know what the psi is coming out? Also does it need to bypass at all? Does the pressure build up when your off the gun?
I’d assume still roughly 60psi. Haven’t tested at the gun
I have a similar set but i have the red gun which is 5-16gpm. Wondering if the the blue gun makes a difference?
Same gun different internals
i use that pump it works great. I have mine set up the same way. i hit 3 stories.
Really? That’s great! Do you mind sending me a message on my Facebook page!? Id love to see how yours is setup compared to mine!
Thank you
I am setting mine up the same as way
How many washes would you say you have on this setup?
Being part time and mainly down streaming I’ve done 9 roof washes, 13 house washes, and I’ve used it for 6 extremely dirty driveways so far with no issues except having to drill my carb jet some thousandths bigger to run right.
My pump blew the black top on it anything u can recommend it to stop doing that
Replace the plug with another one. Sounds like your threads are shot on the plug. Can probably find a regular plug to use at a hardware store
How long can you be of the trigger?
I’ve been off 10 mins at most. I don’t recommend doing this but it should be fine
Are the threads on the machine NPT or garden hose style. I want to get 1” reducer to 3/4 for both inlets.
Npt

I'm going to try the 2" with 1" proportioner and stuff down to 5/8 or 3/4 hose. I've actually got a 1" hose reel with 1" internals 😂 it is enormous
The amount of water that the 2 inch puts out will cause any reducers to create back pressure and fail.
Did it work or did it fail?
@SJVA From my attempt with the 2 inch it did worse than the 1 inch. I believe it’s due to 1 inch hose feeding the 2 inch inlet not being enough flow.
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC Thank you for replying. I'm in Harbor Freight right now picking up the Predator 1" water pump. Thanks for the videos!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
How long does that small gas tank last??
Roughly 2 hours with mine. Not to bad
How long have you been using it
Roughly 4 months now. Plan on trying to use it even more with some videos to show real world action
Thanks!
so what if I’ve put a bigger motor on that pump will I get better flow?
Could go to the 2 inch if you want more flow but it comes down to your restriction in pipes how much flow you will get
How long do it take to empty a 50 gal tank?
Roughly 5 min at 9gpm
How long have you ran it without being on the gun? Like not flowing. Does it get hot at all?
Longest I’ve done is 10 minutes and only seemed like heat from the sun warmed it
What price to set up?
That’s gonna depend on what all you need honestly. For me it was around $900 for the pump and proportioner
How long does it run for with that little fuel tank that it comes with?
About 2 hours give or take
Awesome better than a regular 12v
Roughly same price to replace as well, although maybe not as fast of a swap out… but that’s why I wanted to test lol

It’s just a standard water pump

Yes
