10:38 that's not the purpose of the boot handle, it's to pull it down enough so you can use your other hand to close it. How haven't you figured this out yet as a car reviewer and seeing this feature on numerous other cars :/
I'm sorry, just no. Stop comparing mainstream cars to premium ones and trying to call it badge snobbery when someone prefers the premium car. This Proceed's interior and build quality is nowhere near CLA levels, you don't have the choice of more powerful engines on the Kia nor can you get AWD or a performance version. The only thing Kia has over the CLA is reliability and warranty, the CLA is better in pretty much every other way. And this ain't about badge snobbery either, you're straight up comparing this to a car that used to be 2x as expensive or more. Badge snobbery would be if you were comparing this to a Golf estate and preferred the Golf because of some bullshit reason.
@@skobi87 every time I hear this type of bullshit about Kia's or Hyundai's engines I can't help but wonder why you people comment if you don't know what you're talking about. If you like the car that's fine, but stop attributing bullshit to it. Hyundai's and by extension Kia's engines are old tech, and you can easily tell by the poor torque and mediocre performance figures they output. Kia's 204HP powerplant outputs a measly 265Nm of torque, while the CLA250 outputs a massive 350Nm. You'll say that the CLA has a bigger engine and that's true, and this is why I present to you the 1.5L 3cyl in the Fiesta ST which outputs 290Nm at a similar power level, while still having 100 less CC. _That_ is what a modern engine can do. The 1.6 engine in the Kia is vastly inferior to the one in the CLA 250 in every conceivable way aside from economy (it's smaller) and maybe reliability. Being old tech should assure that Hyundai has had the time to perfect the engine's reliability, even though the 2.0 unit in the CLA250 isn't exactly new, and has proven quite reliable even in higher-spec variants, like the one seen on the A45. You're fighting against numbers which don't care about the feeling you had when you test drove the Kia. Hyundai's engines have never really been something special, and this is especially available to their diesels which were very sluggish compared to their competition.

@@PAUL-ESNEED it's amazing how you call someone a badge snob yet proceed to spout that incessantly fanboyitic bullshit. I've been in a Ceed before and its interior is straight up worse than the contemporary A-class. The only realistically cheap object in the A-class is that disgusting infotainment panel and that's just about it. And then there's the matter of the 2019 A-class which has the best interior in a hatchback right now, the Ceed looks like a Dacia compared to it. Tell me what is it you think you gain by talking out of your ass, do you honestly think people who know what they're talking about won't call you out on your bullshit, or is your goal misleading the average Joe just because you're a cretin?
"You can clearly hear the noise is coming from the speaker on the dash" Well, you are wrong. There is sound generator in the engine compartment just below the edge of the front window which transfers the engine vibrations on the body and the front window. Nothing comes from the speakers.
the car has 2 usbs in front because not all usb ports give a charge out so you can most likely only charge with the usb under the cover and the other one is for media purposes only

I like how you had that poor guy try to sit between the child seats lmao
I love what they done with the boot under floor
That Kia would depreciate alot more than the Merc though
hade murray ,get something small fixed on that Mercedes and you are so screwed.
So value of the Mercedes goes down real fast
Nothing depreciates faster than German luxury
Provide evidence, please.
No it wouldn't
@@masterreach97 exactly it has already depreciated 😂
10:38 that's not the purpose of the boot handle, it's to pull it down enough so you can use your other hand to close it. How haven't you figured this out yet as a car reviewer and seeing this feature on numerous other cars :/
This is better than the Mercedes by w quite some way... Unless you are a badge snob.
Sorry “S” but kia’s engine is much better than in CLA 250 example. Try first comment later, I did.
@@xIcarus227 So fucking wrong. I was in the 2018 CLA and a BASE ceed and the CLA was a complete piece of shit in comparison. Plastic, plastic, plastic and abysmal quality, along with less kit and an outdated design. Stop being a badge snob you fucking moron, a CLA is an A class with a longer boot which in itself is an overpriced heap.
When he took the twig of truth from that boot storage space 😂😂😂
You people incorrectly commenting that kia copied porsche but actually kia had the red light bar first. Look at the sportage.
Red light bars all the way across pre-date the Kia company even existing.
Very nice, finally a Kia Proceed review. I can't wait to get the automatic one, but they'll be properly expensive where I am.
"You can clearly hear the noise is coming from the speaker on the dash"
Well, you are wrong. There is sound generator in the engine compartment just below the edge of the front window which transfers the engine vibrations on the body and the front window. Nothing comes from the speakers.
Carwow the #1 Car show on RUclips
Time for Corolla Touring Sports review....?
No
the car has 2 usbs in front because not all usb ports give a charge out so you can most likely only charge with the usb under the cover and the other one is for media purposes only
Wow these look great. Too bad USA loves their crossovers
I hate crossovers
Now that the new XCeed comes to the market we can expect that the whole Ceed family will also get a 10,5 inch touchscreen and a digital dial. The XCeed will launch with those things. Hope they update the proceed so it will also have these things.
*Next drag race : Bmw x7 vs Mercedes gls*
*A drag race with full size suv*
*Like so he can see*
Watson, can you please do a quick or full review of the new kia Xceed???
Kia: can I copy your homework?
Porsche: yeah just change it a bit so it doesn't look too obvious
Kia: *rear of the Proceed*
Not at all.
wrong
Can't believe he hasn't reviewed the XCeed yet. May be the VW bosses can't stand the competition? The XCeed is the most beautiful car out there today!
Would get that over the used cla
Whenever i see this car on the road i tend to double take my head bcs it looks nice
It has better proportions than the hideous CLA
just stop
just stop
just stop
Great review, lovely car, wish it was for sale in the States, but...mmm... I noticed the fuel gauge actually read 23.2 mpg over the last 38.7 miles driven. I was you were right though!
This is Proceed 2019, not 2020.
You can zoom in and out on Navigation by using the Tune button on the right. I know it's not as easy as just zooming with your fingers but at least its still there :D
Matt likes throwing away the load cover #weirdfetish
At 15:01... that's the previous generation GT manual gear lever. 😁
10:33 Dude... put your hand in the other way...pull it down instead push it down
Dear matt, another usb is under the flap because of looks. With two flaps the design is in balance.
Mat Watson calls the Auxiliary Jack "old-fashion"
*Samsung left the chat*
Samsung left the chat when they removed the jack from note 10 lol
Wish they'd bring this Australia. Such a stunning car!
