Let’s say there’s an agent showing an “open house” for a listing agent. And that agent finds a buyer at the “open house.” Is that agent now considered the selling agent if an offer goes into escrow?

Hi Yang Ying. You are correct! That would create a dual agency situation where the real estate agent will earn more commission, typically double by representing both the buyer and the seller on the same transaction. You are correct! The seller's agent is the listing agent. Do not get the "seller's agent" confused with the "selling agent". The selling agent represents the buyer. A listing agent can also be the selling agent if the agent represents both seller and buyer on the same transaction. This would be considered dual agency. Hope this helps.

Let’s say there’s an agent showing an “open house” for a listing agent. And that agent finds a buyer at the “open house.” Is that agent now considered the selling agent if an offer goes into escrow?
Yep! In some states, the agent can become a DUAL AGENT, which means they represent the buyer AND the seller.
Very clear. Thank you!

Do listing agents ever bring offers to buyer's agents? Or is it only considered an offer from buyer to seller?
what is the sellers agent? Is this agent the listing agent as well? Or I am thinking to much into this!
You are correct! The seller's agent is the listing agent. Do not get the "seller's agent" confused with the "selling agent". The selling agent represents the buyer.
