hopefully the back treatment treats him right. playing in pain is such a struggle to do in general and trying to play through and being entertaining is even harder. All i hope for though is that his back surgery he got keeps him healthy and happy. not even for the videos just purely for his health

@@michaelbenson8189 I got to speak w Matt tonight at the Chicago meet-up and we talked fairly extensively about it. Says the procedure was 2 weeks ago and he's feeling a lot better already, just focused on not doing too much and taking things easy for the next few weeks. Definitely was in good spirits and he was his usual high-energy jovial self

Michael Haas, I was saying the same thing and added this: How can he generate that much clubhead speed without any club lag? He does not even cock the wrists at all. Speed is usually generated through the release and uncocking of the wrists at contact and through it.

He's naturally very explosive. Some athletes are, like the way a pro boxer can deliver a powerful punch with nearly no wind up
Hats off to Steve. I've dogged Steve a few times on here earlier in the year but I love the interaction he's doing now. He's giving great content and he's engaging 100% more. you don’t realize how good these boys actually are until you go play a round yourself and realize how often they hit fairways and greens
A couple of them are exceptionally talented. Steve, Bubbie and Matt are far from impressive. You can go to any course in America on a Saturday and grab 20 players better than those three.

true statement. I just played Troon North today. I'll be candid in saying that it looks super easy seeing a dude on video hitting a shot and thinking you can do better. It's a different world when youre the one looking over the shot and hitting it. TN Pinnacle isn't an easy or narrow course and they did a phenomenal job on it
It’s crazy that bubbie doesn’t EVER just club down, rather than always acting surprised when he hits it long. Reminds me of Micah back in the day. It’s crazy because he’s getting so much more controlled with his shots

Not really. Getting mulligans and making a putt seconds after you miss isn’t that impressive. Get him on a course playing 18 holes on his own and let’s see how many putts he makes.

At 20:38 Bubby made a comment that was true, Garrett did use 2 mulligans on that hole. I have friend who can't count his mulligans as well, but he usually plays a few holes until he remembers he hasn't used a mulligan yet. He is the same kind of golfer who believes he cleared a tree and upon a 5-minute search we find a ball. We ask him what kind of ball did you hit? He doesn't remember, but whatever ball you find is his because he now remembers what ball he was playing. Even if it was an old Spalding ball 30 or more years old, a range ball once or twice, a ball that was burnt on one side when the brush was burned, he even had a ball change color in midflight from white to yellow.
Lol I might not be your friend but I get the struggle. It's kind of a mix of lack of attention and optimism. I can be pretty forgetful on the course, because I'm reserving all my attention for my strokes, and just vibing and keeping the energy upbeat as I can for the rest.
Can we all admit Steve's swing legit is looking pure...gotta be a Steve swing lesson video here soon.
